Perfectly located in Old Hanoi, walking distance to main attractions in the old town. The staff were great and went out of their way to ensure we were happy. For example, we've lost and item in a bus we went for a Ha Long Bay tour and they contacted the tour company, found the item, and had it delivered to our room, all within 2 hours - amazing! The breakfast was great with many Asian & Western food choices, as well as with made-to-order dishes. The bed was comfortable and the AC provided sufficient cooling to make the stay pleasent.

The shower in the bathroom needs some attention as it was leaking.

Best location in the old quarter with Restaurants, bars, coffeeshops just outside the hotel. The lake just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Wonderful, helpful and always happy staff and really good breakfast with amongst all fresh fruit and freshly made eggdishes like omelette or scrambled eggs. Great rooms with a really good bed and a modern bathroom! I We loved everything with Bonsella and I strongly recommend it to all people going to Hanoi!!

Very conveniently located, super friendly staff, walking distance to most attractions. Only a few steps from the lake which, if you're there at the weekend especially, gives you the chance to escape the chaos of the city streets and enjoy walking around the lake in relative peace. The rooms and bathrooms are big and comfortable.

The only minor issue was water pressure, but the staff said they would fix it immediately if we'd let them know earlier. We only stayed for 2 nights so it wasn't a big issue to us.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Replied to emails in a lovely way prior to arrival. Prebooked taxi from airport. Shame that the rooftop bar was closed due to recent damage, but I enjoyed breakfast on 11th floor. Breakfast good. Room large. Bed comfy.

To have cotton sheets....better bedding. My towel was changed when I didn't leave it on the floor. I didn't want it changed. I try not to waste. A water dispenser instead of plastic bottles of water.

Really like the Bonsella. This is our second time here and will return. Location is terrific but it is the people who work there that really make it. Anna and the team are so caring and helpful.

The dining area is small and found it difficult to find space for breakfast. Had a few other guests who had no consideration for how loud they were before 7am.

The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff where extremely helpful and courteous, the room was very clean and well furnished.

The wifi was a little unreliable and the AC in the room we had was not sufficient. Breakfast was from 6am, however, 6-45am is more realistic as most of the food and beverages are not available until this time on 3 times we visited just after 6am

Excellent value for money hotel in the Old Quarter area next to the lake. Anna & Ocean & their team make this hotel outstanding in customer service. On check in Anna walked us across the street & ordered pho for us from a local Vietnamese restaurant. Ocean organised a limo bus to our next destination. We have tried other hotels in the area & have been disappointed we were not stayi ng at Bonsella. We look forward to our next visit to Hanoi & staying at Bonsella Hotel.

That we didn't stay longer

The staff were outstanding. The breakfast was plentiful. The Pho was pretty tasty. The room was very clean (a little of a musty smell when we first arrived but not unbearable.. it dissipated once the aircon was going). If you like to be right in the heart of tourist area you will like the location.

Probably a little more pricey than other very similar places around.

We had stayed in Hanoi earlier in our trip at another hotel. When we were coming back through before flying out we stayed at this property one night. We wished we had stayed here the first part. What I liked most was the location. It is literally like a block from the lake in Hanoi, and so close to all the places you want to eat and visit. The breakfast was great and the breakfast room had great lake views.

If you arrive on the weekend, the roads in that area are closed. That was great for walking around, but made it tricky for our taxi to get us dropped off.

Very close to Hoan Kiem lake, cleanliness, breakfast room with view, friendly/dedicated staff. Duong helped us booked all the transportations to Sapa, Cat Ba, and Ninh Binh, made our trip much easier to manage . Since the property is by the lake and old quarter, we were able to retrieve into our AC room to recharge before venture out again in hot temperatures.

Triple room is little small for us 3 adults, not hotel fault.
