Perfect location, right in the middle of the old quarter in Hanoi. Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. Breakfast was good. We loved this hotel and will use it again if we are in Hanoi.

The rooms weren't exactly quiet. We could still hear the outside noises but it wasn't too bad.

I spend a third of each year in hotels either traveling for work or on holidays. In all those years have never met such thoughtful and well trained staff. They truly care and do everything they can to make your stay a good one. From recommendations on what to do, preparing a breakfast box if you need to leave early, or just giving you an umbrella before you ask, they anticipate everything you might need. Really quite amazing.

You do hear a little noise from the hallways but not a major issue. Considering the price, staff and wonderful location it really is great value

The hotel staff were very kind enough to offer hospitality at any time, which we highly appreciate. The chicken Pho offered at breakfast was so delicious and tasty, not only noodle itself but soup.

Our room was on 11th floor, while the rooftop bar was on 12th floor. It was so noisy due to the music sound and singing at the rooftop bar that we could not sleep at all. After our repeating complaints on the noisy sound and request to change the room, finally they accepted our request (although at first they refused it saying that the hotel was fully booked and no other room was available), and offered service of massage at the spa for free. The manager apologized for the inconvenience and the attitude was very polite. It is greatly appreciated.

The Oriental Jade in Hanoi is a very charming hotel located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, an area full of history, restaurants, people enjying themselves sitting outside Coffee shops, restaurants and street food stands. The Oriental jade has a beautiful building and an amazing reception that welcomes you with special drinks and makes you feel at home in Hanoi very quickly. The service quality is the best i have seen in Vietnam. I was offer an upgrade to the most beautiful suite of the Hotel with a view on the old quarter. The luxury of the room is amazing with art and history from Vietnam. The aromas of Vietnam fill the room with enchanting atmosphere. The bed is super comfortable and the surrounding makes for a memorable experience. The breakfast is also one of the best I have tasted in Vietnam with the highest quality for all Vietnamese specialties in addition to Indian, European, American dishes. The hotel gave us a map of Hanoi and directed us to the most enchanting places in the Old Quarter near the magical lake, the narrow streets with souvenirs and coffeeshops. The experience was amazing. I have seen very few places where the hotel, the suite, breakfast and most of all the customer service at the reception and the wonderful managers sitting there, all provide a warm and memorable welcoming. This is a place everyone should visit upon arriving in Hanoi. I cannot wait to go back and enjoy the beaty and confort of the hotel but alsot most of all the magical warmth of the people working there: exciting, warm, engaged, honest and super helpful. This is the top luxury in Hanoi and the most exciting human experience to share.

I had no negative experience in the hotel. Every aspect of the hotel is curated with a human touch from the moment one steps in the hotel to the moment one checks out. The only regret is that there was no room available for an additional night because the hotel was super booked for the weekend.

Eileen, the hotel manager was extremely accommodating. She ensured our room was prepared with lovely honeymoon decorations and gifts which was such a lovely surprise. Our stay was amazing. The room was large, clean and the staff were wonderful. We were gifted a beautiful drip coffee set as we checked out, which was a amazing little surprise ☺️ and Eileen also insisted on booking our taxi to our next hotel free of charge, as well as booking our taxi a few days later from our next hotel to the airport free of charge! These little gestures, made our stay and memory of The Oriental Jade Hotel, top class! It made our commuting super easy when leaving our next hotel, and Eileen even added us on WhatsApp to ensure that everything was communicated quickly and easily. If we find ourselves back in Hanoi at some point, this will undoubtedly be the only place that we would stay. Lovely hotel, lovely staff and honestly a great place to enjoy our honeymoon. Highly recommend!

Nothing. It was great!!

Our plans for the north of Vietnam were disrupted by the typhoon which hit in late August. We decided to extend our stay in Hanoi to two weeks and get to know the city better. This was a great decision - Hanoi has so much to offer, and the Oriental Jade is an exceptional base to explore it from. Our room was beautifully appointed. There had been thought put into the decor and into what travellers need. It was the only hotel in Vietnam which we stayed in where there was an iron in the room. Little touches like this make a stay so much easier. The bed linen and the towels were excellent quality, as were the toiletries. We used the laundry facilities which were reasonably priced and reliable. Our clothes were delivered on the same day. We ate in the hotel a few times, and were daily regulars at the rooftop bar for a drink in the afternoons. The food was very good - fresh and an interesting menu. I'd recommend the Vietnamese offerings at breakfast, which were really excellent. What really makes the Oriental Jade is the staff. All the staff we met were so friendly and so helpful. From Elena at breakfast who greeted us every day and gave us suggestions about what we could do given the weather, to the housekeeping staff, who always asked if we needed anything, the service was exceptional. We were made to feel at home. The Oriental Jade is an excellent five star hotel, but its real value is in how special they make a guest feel. It really is a wonderful hotel.

Location, location, location - is fabulous! It is just one street away from the lake, about a 10 minute walk to the night market, and you have everything you need right on your street. It does get crowded in terms of traffic, but hey, its Hanoi. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, they gave us some great recommendations for local food, all totally amazing. We had the breakfast on just one morning, and it is quite a spread - lots of local options, but you can also get a great omelet. On our last day, we had to leave very early (5:30 am) and the staff were kind to be awake and waiting for us, and even set us up with some nice coffee for the road. Oh, the view from the rooftop is amazing, do make time to go up and have a drink! Thank you, we'll be back!

Nothing, it was a great stay.

The Jade Oriental is perfectly located in the city centre, we loved the fact that a lot of the key sights are in walking distance. The staff is very attentive, polite and helpful - special thanks goes to Ms. Jolene who was instrumental in helping us with our Halong Bay trip and the related transfers. It was also very helpful that we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel during our Halong Bay trip.

The only slight suggestion for improvement would be the noise insulation of the hotel room door - there seemed to be quite a gap which permitted noise from the aisle into the room. Rooms are relatively small but functional and clean.

Staff hospitality was exceptional and felt genuine. I have stayed in quite a few luxury and mid range hotels and sometimes staff interaction does feel over the top and fake. This hotels staff felt genuine and happy. The bed was comfortable as me and my wife like it one the firm side. Breakfast was delicious, especially the fruit and the pool with a poolside bar was nice since the weather in Hanoi is muggy. The location of this hotel is great because it is situated 1-2 minutes by the foot from the busiest streets in hanoi old qarter so you can easilly reach the whole area by foot, the hotel itself is in a quiet area and also majority of the tour and travel companies can pick you up as they mostly arrange pick ups and drop offs only to Hanoi old quarter

Cant remember anything upleasant happening.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Oriental Jade Hotel in Hanoi, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the hotel's perfect location in the heart of the city. It made exploring Hanoi incredibly convenient, with major attractions, delicious street food, and vibrant markets just steps away. The hotel itself is impeccably clean, and my room was not only comfortable but also beautifully designed. The amenities provided were top-notch, catering to every need I had. What truly elevated my experience, however, was the exceptional service and the outstanding food. The hotel's restaurant offered a wide variety of delectable dishes, and each meal was a culinary delight. What truly set this hotel apart was the extraordinary assistance I received from the manager, Brian. I encountered some unexpected complications with my visa process, and Brian went above and beyond to help me navigate the situation. His dedication and willingness to assist were truly remarkable. I have stayed in many hotels around the world, but I have never experienced such a level of personalized support. Brian's efforts were instrumental in resolving my visa issues, and I am immensely grateful for his help. If you're planning a trip to Hanoi, I wholeheartedly recommend the Oriental Jade Hotel. With its perfect location, clean and comfortable accommodations, excellent food and amenities, and, most importantly, the exceptional service provided by Justin and the entire team, this hotel offers an unforgettable experience.
