I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely hotel in Hanoi for just one night, and I can confidently say that I'd book again without hesitation on my next visit. The modern decor throughout the hotel was truly impressive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. From the moment I arrived, they greeted me with warm smiles and were eager to assist with any inquiries I had about the area or my stay. The rooms were a good size, providing ample space to relax after a day of exploring the city. The cleanliness and attention to detail were evident, and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided. Overall, my brief stay was a delightful experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. The water pressure was not great in the shower but it did not really impact our stay

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel du Lac Hanoi, and cannot recommend it enough! The staff truly made our experience exceptional. They were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect - from giving us restaurant recommendations to booking cabs for us. Everyone was so pleasant and always smiling, which created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and genuinely made a difference. The rooms were spotless, and the breakfast was excellent with a great variety of options (grilled basa!) to start the day. However, what stood out most was the incredible staff and the authenticity to their hospitality. Special thanks to Chloe, Emma, Amelia (we hope we got the name right!) and everyone else whose names we couldn’t see. You all made our stay unforgettable. Thank you for such a memorable experience! This is a real 4-star hotel experience, tea as you check in, incredibly courteous and acted as guides for the local area. The bedroom was spotless, the breakfast was *amazing* and felt lucky to have found this place off a reddit comment. I heard they are opening more sister hotels in other areas and I will be looking for them in my travels. We also used their massage services and it was great, would do again.

I didn't really have any complaints, smallest of comments we used their laundry service, and a couple clothes came back not completely clean, and a note that it is much cheaper tlto do more laundry than less. First load was over 3kg and cost half the price of a load that was 1.5kg (which is priced per item rather than per weight).

The rooftop offers breathtaking views of Hanoi, especially at sunset, bartenders and cocktails were fantastic. The staff went above and beyond always friendly, attentive, and eager to help with any request. Their hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast? One of the best I’ve had at any hotel! A perfect mix of Western and Asian options, plus daily specials that kept every morning exciting. Many reviewers praised this hotel online, and now I understand why. If you’re visiting Hanoi, don’t hesitate book here! You won’t be disappointed. I’d gladly stay again!

The old quarter in Hanoi is vibrant so you can expect it to be loud at times. Though I didn't experience any noise from my large room on the 12th floor towards the rear of the hotel. There were some electrical issues in my room, but the staff comp'd me a drink from the bar. I was also so busy exploring the city I wasn't in the room much to begin with.

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can only share positive experiences. The location is simply excellent – central yet quiet, making it perfect for relaxation and exploration. The breakfast was a definite highlight: a diverse selection, freshly prepared, and of the highest quality. The perfect start to the day! I especially want to emphasize the outstanding service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always eager to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I felt completely at ease and can highly recommend this hotel. Reception with its warm cinnamon/ginger/lemon grass tea was a great start. Ken took time explained the facilities/services as well as Hanoi. Breakfast with the ala carte menu gave a good spread and a cozy space with attentive staff Kylie & Amelia & male colleagues. The spacious room was quiet, even had a letter fr the GM to inform us about the renovations/noise of the neighbouring pty which only happened during daytime. The location is accessible to all attractions & F&B yet quiet. Clean rooms & welcome tray of fresh fruits. Efficient lift. Also compliment Louis for recommending a bakery & friendly staff Lily and the bellhops. Great experience.

Hotel is fantastically located and close to all attractions in the Old town, French quarter and 10 minutes away from the train street. We spent there two days and then returned for another day after our Ninh Bihn city visit. We got a free upgrade for a fantastic room with a front street view. The breakfast is really great and contains many complementary on-demand items (waffles, pancakes, sandwiches, toasts, but also Pho and Bun Cha. A lot of fresh fruits, cakes and fresh juices. The staff were so wonderful and helpful with any request. We even got a small farewell gift for upcoming Lunar New Year. Absolutely fantastic experience.

Superb service. Excellent location. Fantastic rooftop bar with great views. This hotel is perfect for staying in Hanoi’s old quarter. It’s a better value than their big sister property around the corner and if you need to use the gym during your stay, you’re allowed free entry to their sister property. Mary (the GM) and her team made me feel both like a VIP and a friend visiting their home. That combination of service is only seen in the best properties worldwide, and you’ll have it here in Hanoi. I was having trouble booking transport to HaLong and when they found out they took care of booking a more private option at the same rate. They even messaged to check up on me that all went well. I can’t say enough good things about Hotel du Lac — they deserve their high rating and I’ll stay again when in Hanoi. Thanks Hotel du Lac Team!

There are interior facing windows in the rooms but they are easily coverable with curtains.

We loved everything about this perfect boutique hotel in the heart of Hanoi's Old quarter! The decor, the food, the level of service were all excellent, but what made it exceptional were the amazing staff members, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and help us explore Hanoi. On first arriving at the hotel, we realised my husband had left his passport on the plane! The wonderful hotel manager contacted the airport and sorted everything out for us, including organising a taxi to take us back to the airport, wait for us, and gave us all the info we needed to retrieve the passport! What could have been a disastrous start to our holiday was made so much easier by the lovely staff at Hotel du Lac, and we were so grateful - thank you ❤️❤️

There was nothing to dislike about this beautiful hotel!

This hotel is one of the best we have stayed in! The staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly, they cannot do enough to help. We mentioned it was our honeymoon and were so kindly gifted a cake in our room, and it was decorated! The room itself was clean, and so comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious and the shower was hot. Breakfast was delicious, with so many options on the menu, as well as a buffet. Wish we could have stayed longer!
