The staff were attentive to every detail, from the doormen to the hotel agents in the lobby. You could tell they put a lot of thought and care into their guests. Also, the breakfast buffet was fantastic. I thought it was one of the best I've ever had in terms of flavor (and I have traveled a lot).The staff in the restaurant were also very kind and hospitable. My husband enjoyed the egg omelet so much he ordered the same thing every morning and I was quite content with my bowl of pho each morning.

I used the gym at their sister hotel Grand Hotel and felt it could use some improvement. The water dispenser was empty and there were no clean towels ready. It was also open to the streets with people coming and going.

We had the Executive Double Room with view onto the city. The room was very clean, not dump at all and smelled really good and thus represented a nice quiet oasis compared to busy Hanoi. The location was amazing to reach small boutiques, the lake and in general the main places in the old quartier. The breakfast offered a great variety of western and vietnamese dishes with lots of fresh fruit and sweets. We did not use the Spa or massage this time. The cocktails at the roof top bar are delicious with great view! The staff was always super friendly and went above and beyond to accomodate our needs. We would come back!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely hotel in Hanoi for just one night, and I can confidently say that I'd book again without hesitation on my next visit. The modern decor throughout the hotel was truly impressive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. From the moment I arrived, they greeted me with warm smiles and were eager to assist with any inquiries I had about the area or my stay. The rooms were a good size, providing ample space to relax after a day of exploring the city. The cleanliness and attention to detail were evident, and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided. Overall, my brief stay was a delightful experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. The water pressure was not great in the shower but it did not really impact our stay

A lovely, clean hotel at an affordable price. The rooms had everything needed for a comfortable night’s sleep. The included breakfast exceeded expectations with a wide selection of options as well as items made to order and the rooftop was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle below. What truly sets this hotel apart though, is the staff. From the moment we were welcomed with a refreshing drink on arrival to the warm farewell as we departed, I’ve never met a more friendly and helpful team. Every single person we encountered was genuinely amazing. I have to give a special mention to Mr. Louis, the Front Office Manager. He offered advice and assistance not only during our stay in Hanoi but also throughout our travels in Vietnam. I’ve visited over 50 countries, and he is by far the most attentive and thoughtful Front Office Manager I’ve ever met. Mr. Louis; Thank you, you are the BEST!

The Junior Suite room is nice and spacious. The bed is super comfy, and at night it’s nice and quiet. We were able to sleep really well. The shower was nice and big, water pressure was good. The lobby is really nice, the staff is very welcoming. Breakfast is good, coffee is good. The location is perfect. Loved our stay, I’d go back for sure.

A couple of things that can be improved - the rooftop bar does not serve any food or snacks, so we ended up going to another one that did. Also, a hotel at this level should have room service in my opinion. I had a lot of work to do in the room during our stay, and it would have been nice to have a room service option. Instead I ordered on Grab. Last and very small - but I think the breakfast should add a cold water tap to refill the glasses. The small glass bottles at the fridge always ran out and were half full anyway, it would be nice to just have a way to fill up our water glasses.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel du Lac Hanoi, and cannot recommend it enough! The staff truly made our experience exceptional. They were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect - from giving us restaurant recommendations to booking cabs for us. Everyone was so pleasant and always smiling, which created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and genuinely made a difference. The rooms were spotless, and the breakfast was excellent with a great variety of options (grilled basa!) to start the day. However, what stood out most was the incredible staff and the authenticity to their hospitality. Special thanks to Chloe, Emma, Amelia (we hope we got the name right!) and everyone else whose names we couldn’t see. You all made our stay unforgettable. Thank you for such a memorable experience! Absolutely amazing. There are so many places in Hanoi with fake reviews(learnt the hard way), this is not one of them. The beds are large and comfortable and the room is clean. The breakfast has a large selection with eggs, pancakes and coffee made to order. It was very tasty. The staff are extremely welcoming and professional. They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. We have stored luggage upon check out and returned back late in the evening. When the staff learnt we are flying back to Europe that night, they offered us a room to take a shower before the flight. So kind.

Every stuff is friendly and look after each customer. I was sick when I stayed in there, the guy explained where is pharmacy and the lady make me ginger tea for me. Welcome drink also was good for tired flight. They have taxi service as well. Driver is safety driving and very gentle. It’s better ask this service who go to Vietnam first time. Room cleaning is very quick and beautiful. when I had breakfast, they already done everything. Breakfast is buffet and also enough food and half of food was changed every day. They can make each order also. Vietnamese food and continental breakfast. Recommend 10/10!!

This is a real 4-star hotel experience, tea as you check in, incredibly courteous and acted as guides for the local area. The bedroom was spotless, the breakfast was *amazing* and felt lucky to have found this place off a reddit comment. I heard they are opening more sister hotels in other areas and I will be looking for them in my travels. We also used their massage services and it was great, would do again.

I didn't really have any complaints, smallest of comments we used their laundry service, and a couple clothes came back not completely clean, and a note that it is much cheaper tlto do more laundry than less. First load was over 3kg and cost half the price of a load that was 1.5kg (which is priced per item rather than per weight).

The staff went above and beyond always friendly, attentive, and eager to help with any request. Their hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast? One of the best I’ve had at any hotel! A perfect mix of Western and Asian options, plus daily specials that kept every morning exciting. Many reviewers praised this hotel online, and now I understand why. If you’re visiting Hanoi, don’t hesitate book here! You won’t be disappointed. I’d gladly stay again!

The old quarter in Hanoi is vibrant so you can expect it to be loud at times. Though I didn't experience any noise from my large room on the 12th floor towards the rear of the hotel. There were some electrical issues in my room, but the staff comp'd me a drink from the bar. I was also so busy exploring the city I wasn't in the room much to begin with.
