They provided me with extensive google documents that outlined all the best places to eat and attractions to visit. There was also a google map that I could load to have things on-hand and listed directly on my app. Several locations weren't just touristy and I found myself sitting next to local folks constantly during my stay. They truly helped make my visit great with all the recommendations they provided on the food lists. There were also free bicycles available as well as inexpensive motorbikes for rent. The city is truly charming and a-maze house made it easier for me to enjoy it with their service and care. Located in the heart of the old city, it was extraordinarily easy to get to the Museum of Antiquities and Imperial City.

The beds could have been more comfortable, and the room was pretty hot at night. There was air conditioning, but it was never turned on and the remote was probably kept at the front desk.

The space is very beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, and well set up for travellers. It's very relaxing and peaceful. The staff are very helpful. The filtered water and other free amenities were a nice touch (like noodles). The mat on the floor was surprisingly comfortable! I would definitely stay here again for the atmosphere alone.

Breakfast is traditional Hue cakes and sometimes fruit - fruit was only offered once during my stay but would have been appreciated every morning. Everything you want to do or see in Hue is at least 40 minutes walking distance away, however Grab bikes are cheap so that's not a problem if you are happy to use those.

This place is an absolute gem! The location near the citadel is perfect, and being down a laneway makes it very peaceful and quiet, despite being so near the city. We loved the Japanese aesthetic, and the staff are amazing (especially Lily and Ngoc), so helpful and friendly, going out of their way with any request to make our stay a wonderful experience. As a family with 2 children, we still felt very relaxed and welcome in amongst the other backpackers, as this place just seems to attract lovely chilled people. They accommodated our vegetarian needs with the delicious breakfast and gave us great recommendations for veg places to eat. Highly recommend this place!

Would be great if the family room had an extra bed for a small child

I had a great stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, making it easy to reach many attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and always eager to fulfill any requests. A big plus was that the rooms were very clean and well-equipped. I also appreciated the complimentary drinks available throughout the day. The breakfast was tasty, but unfortunately, there was only a vegan option available. This is great for vegans, but I would have liked a bit more variety. Nonetheless, the helpful staff impressed me as they were always ready to assist with any questions or concerns. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely come back!

I stayed here last month and had a great time! Its a super cute small location/guest-house with very personal service from the staff. The place is clean and has a really unique stylish design. Breakfast often entails a taste of local food Vietnamese families would traditionally eat at home. The lady's who worked there, one was named Lily (if I remember correctly) - were so kind! I was a bit sick for a few days, but they made me ginger tea etc. She also had the best recommendations for things to do and the events happening in town that week!

Nothing, service was really great!

A-Maze House was perfect for exploring the amazing historical city of Hue on foot. I chose a basic standard room, which was in the attic area up a few wooden steps. My small room had a comforatble mattress on the floor, a locking sliding door, three quarter height wall, a little window and was great value for the money paid. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can use the kitchen area in reception.

The very zen, minimalist kind of style makes the place a very pleasant space to stay. It’s own by 2 sisters that are super helpful in terms of advice on places to visit or eat. They serve tea/coffee and traditional specialties for breakfast, super yummy. The balcony/terrace upstairs and communal area are nice chilling places.

I actually kind of like that but that could be a problem for someone else, the private rooms are simply separated by sliding doors so noise cancelling doesn’t really occurs here but you still have the privacy of a closed door.

There was a very homely atmosphere, I really appreciated having a kitchen and the staff were all lovely and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the showers were hot. I'd recommend staying here if you like somewhere a bit quieter with a more relaxed vibe, instead of super party hostel.

It would have been useful to have been shown the water heater switches when I arrived.

Lovely hostel right next to the old town with bikes to rent free of charge! the rooms are quite spacious and the breakfast was excellent! The owner was very sweet and warm hearted and happy to give tips for some great restaurants! I think this place is perfect especially for the warmer months as the place is designed not to trap any excessive heat.

Unfortunately when I was there we had unusually cold weather, so it was quite cold in the room. However we were given an extra blanket with helped alot, so it was still comfortable!

This hostel is wonderful and really unique. One of my favourite places that I stayed in Vietnam. I stayed in a private room which is a Japanese style small room with sliding doors and bed on the floor. Very basic but very comfy and cosy. The vibe is incredibly friendly, staff helpful and I met a lot of friendly and interesting people. The location is also lovely, it feels very safe and the owner gave me lots of brilliant recommendations of places to eat locally.

The breakfast was a little disappointing.
