Not the fanciest of hotels, everything is a little bit old and worn. But it's clean and spacious and comfortable and quiet with good location and easy to walk everywhere. We were attending an event and asked if we could borrow an iron from housekeeping, which they did not have. Found that a bit strange as normally even the smallest of hotels has an iron. But apparently in buenos aires laundry shops are popular, cheap and fast, according to the staff, who were very friendly. The liquid soap in the shower was watered down. (The kind where large bottles are bolted in the wall.). We didn't try the breakfast, sauna or gym but all were available.

Loved the location. Minutes from everything! The staff was very professional, attentive, and generous. Really Amazing staff. The breakfast wasn’t particularly delicious but its restaurant Vivaldi was very nice too.

The room itself, while still being nice as advertised, needed a little bit of updating. Yet very clean, the tub and windows were old and you could see mold stuck inside the jetted tub openings. The shower leaks everywhere leaving you with a smell that lingers inside the bathroom and though out our suite. Sound proofing from our 8th floor suite could be better as you could hear the neighbours above and beside. Overall a really good stay nevertheless.

Great location Rooms are large and spacious Our room overlooked a church which was nice, especially hearing the church bells ringing. Bathroom a bit dated and could do with a bit of a refurb but it was clean Small but lovely and welcomed swimming pool and outside terrace, especially as the weather was really hot and humid during our stay

Breakfast was adequate but a limited selection Ezekiel was excellent but generally staff were not overly welcoming There were cups in the room but no utensils - we had to request these from the restaurant

The staff. Everyone from doorman to front desk and cleaners are great. Ezekiel (not sure of the spelling) provided us with such excellent service we decided to come back to the hotel, and this was our 2nd stay. He is friendly, patient, and so helpful. We stayed for 7 days this time, and for a few weeks before that. Both times, the staff were wonderful. You also feel very safe with the doormen being present and always aware. I don't know who the manager is, but they need to understand that their staff make this hotel great. We also liked the clean pool (pool floor is clean), the rooms were clean, and we left my engagement ring and passport in the room by accident and the cleaner turned it to the front desk. These workers all need a raise, they are excellent. The hotel is always being cleaned it seems, and there is no dust in the rooms. The hotel is quiet. We stayed at other places near by and none of them were as good.

The only down side is the restaurant. If they improved the standard of food (more fresh ingredients and higher quality), it would be impecable. Covering the breakfast so that fruit flies do not go on it would be great as well.

Spacious and clean- very helpful and attentive staff. Room has stove, microwave, fridge, kettle: well-equipped. Fantastic fresh juice in the lobby in afternoon- so refreshing when coming in from a long day of sight-seeing. Pool was relaxing and we met with lovely other guest. Location was terrific - off the main drag but close to everything. Hotel recommended restaurant Vicen across the street which was neighborhood-style - greeted onus like old friends. Good service; great empanadas, pastas, pizzas, deserts.

The hotel is in a good location to walk to the more central areas. The lobby is nice and a good breakfast options with fresh pastries. The staff even provided us with an early breakfast as we had an early flight. They also organised transfers to and from the airport for us. Overall a comfortable stay

We had the suite, and although the bedroom has been recently modernised the rest of the place could do with some renovation. The jacuzzi bath jets did not work

We had a suite which was roomy and comfortable. Retiro is walking distance to lots of things, or a cheap Uber ride. Breakfast was good. The hotel is an older one but well maintained. The bed was very comfortable, good hot water, shower was over the bath which is a little awkward but ok. There was a kitchenette too which was handy. Staff helpful and friendly. Restaurant was good for when we weren't going out.

Location is excellent. Easy to navigate the city from this base. All of the reception staff were really helpful, friendly , welcoming and efficient. The junior suite was perfect for me and my father - plenty of space and comfort. The pool deck is great to relax on after a long day sight seeing . WiFi is perfect and breakfast is good Some nice restaurants very close by

Very handy location for exploring Buenos Aires. Large, clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Nice to have the small rooftop pool.

Pool area was a little tired, broken sun lounger. Small kitchenette in room but no cutlery/crockery. It was available from restaurant though.

Good location comfortable.

The room we had was an executive suite, which had a small but useable kitchen. Unfortunately there were no cutlery or any other utensils to use so even making a coffee was difficult. Don’t see why basic equipment cups plates knives forks spoons wouldn’t be supplied.
