Great location next to the creek with certain areas in the hotel and also some rooms providing lovely creek views, very interesting and modern room design with a lot of attention to detail (which I personally loved), spacious rooms, very nice and spacious bathrooms, every area in the hotel was very clean.

Few things in the rooms that need repair and/or improvement (the blinds in my room were slightly damaged and the lighting in the room felt a little dull), the breakfast spread could use an upgrade-options were quite limited. PS: None of the aforementioned things is a problem as such, just recommended improvements

I stayed at this hotel back when it first opened under a different name, and I absolutely loved it—the location, the design, and the overall atmosphere were just perfect. After the pandemic and the rebranding, my experience had dipped, but I recently returned in 2025 and was pleased to see that things have significantly improved. The hotel is running efficiently again, it's clean, well-maintained, and has a pleasant scent throughout. The staff were helpful, and the pricing was fair for what was offered, making the overall stay worth it.

My main disappointment was the room view—it faced a blocked building, which made the space feel more confined and less enjoyable. Additionally, I noticed that some of the room equipment seemed outdated and could use refurbishment. Another downside was the corridor perfume; it had a strong, unpleasant, and cheap scent that didn’t match the otherwise clean environment. While none of these were deal-breakers, they slightly impacted the experience. With a few thoughtful updates, the hotel could easily return to the high standard it once had.

This is the 4th time we are staying at this hotel and we enjoy it to have a night away in the city. I enjoy the design of the property, it is spacious, it is modern and clean. In terms of bedroom, it is again very spacious, with beautiful views, great lighting and a modern design, which looks clean, new and appealing. The pool upstairs has an amazing view over the water, it is worth it, you can have a drink and relax in a peaceful atmosphere. The gym is great, there is hardly anyone using it when we go so we enjoy it. The staff is pleasant, smiling, kind, and polite and we will certainly return as it has become one of our favorite gateway hotels.

There is nothing I did not like

The property is basically new and the rooms and facilities are of tasteful contemporary design. Location is a bit eccentric (a 20 mnts taxi ride to downtown via highway) but great if you want some quiet, and walking distance to the Al Seef old town, along the creek. You can also walk about 15 minutes to Burjuman metro station, even with a trolley (flat terrain).

Staff is kind and motivated but rather clueless when asked about anything regarding the city (museums, transport, distances) - they just google the answer on their phone in front of you… The $20 breakfast is def not 5 star. Very little is fresh (the fruit was def not) poor bread, cheese, meat, veggi selection. Warm selection was not.

The location on the Creek was excellent, literally 2 minutes from the waters edge,a lovely walk down the board walk to the Deira souks. A quirky hotel with unusal artwork and paintings. Breakfast very good the Sri Lankan guy on the omlette station was great and the staff were very polite & helpful. The lighting in the rooms was on key pads on the headboard a bit unusal but worked fine. Hot water no problem and shower was lovely. .The manager apologies forgot his name was very helpful.

Limited snack / dinner menu, the price of drinks but I think this may be the norm in hotels in Dubai

Location is not for everyone, far from the bright lights of downtown Dubai or the Marina but perfect for us. Very clean hotel. Staff super friendly. Free parking. Quieter area.

The electricity arrangement is just bad, with all the electric sockets located in a small difficult-to-deal-with compartment in the headboard of the bed plus more electricity near your head having all the switches behind the pillow.

The hotel is an excellent location. In a slightly quieter part of Dubai, very close to the old part, the creek and yet very accessible for downtown and other areas. It was only 15 minutes from the airport, but far enough away not to be impacted by it. The pool and surrounds was fantastic, with great views across the city. The staff, without exception, were warm, friendly, helpful and proactive. We really liked the styling of the hotel, which was modern, arty and definitely not corporate. We also liked the styling of our room (a suite) which was contemporary and sleek, though people seeking soft, luxury might not find it to their taste. The breakfast buffet was extensive and we really enjoyed the food.

The only, very minor, downside for us was we found it difficult to adjust the temperature in the room, which was a little cool in the evenings. Otherwise we found this to be an excellent hotel. We certainly recommend it and it will be our first choice on future trips to Dubai.

The staff were fantastic! A big thank you to Alaa, Sarah, Bernard, and Elias—they were friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The hotel is modern, clean, and located in the beautiful Al Seef area. The SOL Café was a standout—great coffee and a peaceful vibe. Also the whole team at the Front Desk and Concierge were friendly

Can’t pinpoint exactly what I didn’t like, because everything was on point and lovely

The Location is at the end of the old souk. A lot of nice places to eat are around the Hotel. You can reach them by walking, no need of a Taxi. Also Supermarkets can be reached in few minutes by walking. The breakfast is exceptional. You find all you can think about. Service of the Hotel is awsome, The Hotel team is very friendly and always available to help you. Especial Islam, the room service guy did an amazing job,

The location is one of the highlights – just a short walk to the Creek and Al Seef, making it perfect for exploring the area on foot. The beds are comfortable, which made it easy to relax and unwind after a long day. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, adding to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend Canopy Hotel if you're looking for a well-located, comfortable, and hospitable place to stay.
