Can't really fault it. We were very pleasantly surprised by the Pod. Lots to like. Great value compared to eye watering Manhattan prices. Safe and secure. Modern. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room with housekeeping at a frequency you choose. Comfortable mattress and pillows. We had an interior courtyard room and didn't hear any noise from the surrounding roads or indeed other guests. Yes the rooms are tiny but you have everything you need. And the shower over toilet thing mentioned by other reviewers really isn't that bad. We appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee every morning and discounts at a couple of local restaurants to make up for the current bar/restaurant closure. Williamsburg is a fantastic area with great shops, bars etc and amazing views of Manhattan just a 10 min walk away at the North Williamsburg ferry stop. We even had a view of the Chrysler building from our window. Easy access to the subway at Bedford Ave c.5 mins away and then around 20/30 mins to the main Midtown sites. Manhattan is frenetic and we enjoyed being able to retreat to Williamsburg where things are more relaxed. It was a gamble to choose to stay in Brooklyn on our first visit to NYC and we didn't regret it one bit.

The rooftop terrace wasn’t open although it looks like in the pictures. They also ask for a deposit of 210$ at the check in, that’s something you should know beforehand.

Everything was nice and clean, the room was small, as implied, but well-designed and functional. Hotel felt safe. Bed was good, shower was nice. Place is largely quiet and staff is very friendly. Nice little store next to the hotel to pickup beverages and snacks. Close to the Bedford Av. subway, lots of restaurants in the area.

Shower is in the same space as the toilet, best to use the toilet before you shower because everything gets wet. Not a lot of space around the sink to store something like a cosmetic bag, there is a shelf but it's very shallow so mine kept falling into the sink.

Very clean, comfortable room. It's small, but the layout was really well-thought-out, and everything I needed was inside. I'd say the size is perfect for one person, a little tight for two if you're not used to living in the city. They even provided a mini fridge when I asked for one at check-in. Yes, the toilet is inside the shower, but it didn't bother me much at all. The location is outstanding! Right in the heart of Williamsburg with tons of great restaurants, bars, and shopping. The subway stop is a quick 5-min walk away. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd absolutely stay here again.

The blinds don't fully block out all the sunlight so we kept waking up at 8am and having trouble falling back asleep. Walls are a little thin and I could hear my neighbors the first night, but it wasn't an issue after that.

I stayed in Pod Brooklyn for a week and absolutely loved it. It’s comfortable, very quiet and most importantly the location was great. The rooms are modern and very comfortable, especially for solo travelers. From 7-11am the hotel offers complementary coffee/tea which was pretty good. There is a grocery store right next door, which is great if you want to grab a snack. The location in term of city center is great as well. The L train (subway) is only a 5 minute walk or even less if you walk faster and in just 10-15 minutes you are right in the center of New York. If you want to walk to the seaside, it’s about 20 min but it’s worth it for a great first view of Upper Manhattan. It would be much more convenient if there was a mini fridge in the room (but considering limited space it’s understandable that it may not be possible). But overall it was a great experience staying in this hotel!

I liked everything here. Super good location, rooms small but very functional. Very clean-room cleaned, sheets and towels changed every second day. Staff is always at disposal and very kind. I had few requests-all have been addressed very quickly. Water fountain available for guests, as well as morning coffee and tea in the bar near the reception. The vibe is positive and trendy.

The concept of toilet within the shower is a bit weird, but after two days we got used to it. If I had an option to upgrade the room with separate shower and toilet I personally would not spend more on that. I shared a room with my daughter so it was easy. There are two toilets on the ground floor if you need more privacy.

Loved the neighbourhood, the hotel staff was very kind and open to solve anything, everything was nice and clean, they even had nice toiletries. The day we checked out they kept our bags safe (more than 10 pieces of luggage) with no additional fee until 8pm! From the hotel it's like a 10 minute walk to the closest subway station which was fine for us. There is a grocery store right next to the hotel, and a couple more within 2 blocks of distance (like whole foods) so it's perfect for getting breakfast and having it at the patios available at the Pod.

Room size too small if travelling with big suitcases. We were told that we could request a mini fridge if needed, but when they brought it to the room it used a lot of space (considering the size of the rooms). They have three terraces but it is not allowed to smoke and they close at 10pm, so it would've been nice to spend more time there specially in the night.

The location is superb. Lively neighborhood, but not too loud. Pharmacy, sephora, apple, healthy groceries, whatever store you need is within few minutes of walk only. Metro station is 7 min away and can take you to Manhattan in about 5 min. Rooms have all the basics including nice bath products and hairdryer.

When I was choosing the hotel I looked for a good vibe. I liked pictures from the restaurant and rooftop bar. In the end everything was closed and it was a huge disappointment. Without nice atmosphere it turns in to a mediocre yet extremely well located hotel.

The value for money is really good. The location in Williamsburg is great, has a lot of caffees nearby, close to direct metro to Manhattan, and close to the Williamsburg bridge if you want to walk more. The room is quite small, but the space is very well thought out. We stayed 7 nights in the winter and it was quite cozy & warm. The shower also dried quite fast.

Although we didn't mind the room, it is certainly not for everyone, being on the smaller side. The shower placements is interesting but it was fine for us. I also didn't like the two sheet system instead of an actual duvet for the blanket, but it is what it is.

Excellent location, super walkable, right in the middle of tons of fun shops, bars, restaurants. If you want to explore Williamsburg this is a great place to use as home base. I was so happy I found it and I would definitely stay here again. Really nice staff. Felt safe in the building (also feels totally safe walking around the neighborhood anytime of day if you are unfamiliar with the area). Since it’s small rooms and thin walls I’d suggest bringing earplugs. People were respectful, but if sounds wake you up earplugs will be useful for you here.

It is truly tiny, which is no problem at all if you are just looking for a place to sleep. I stayed in a bunk bed room and it was totally fine for me as one small human. However, it would be rough with two people, or if you are tall (I’d say if you are over 5’8” or so the bed would be uncomfortable). I also wouldn’t stay here if you are planning to spend much time in your room, working/etc. I will say it’s a bit expensive for what it is, but maybe that’s just NY?
