The hotel is brand new, and the rooms are in pristine condition, exactly as shown in the pictures. It’s in a fantastic location in Recoleta—a lovely, walkable area. The room was spacious, with a great bed and a nice balcony.

The only downside is the lack of soundproofing of the room doors. The doors are so thin that when maintenance staff entered hallway on our floor at 7 am and started speaking (at a normal volume), I immediately woke up, feeling as though someone had entered our room! This could be a dealbreaker for light sleepers. Aside from that, everything else was excellent.

My stay at the hotel was fantastic. I absolutely enjoyed my experience. The hotel is brand new; actually, some parts of it, like the upper floors and the rooftop with the swimming pool, are still under construction. As the hotel staff told me, the business opened for visitors just a few days before my arrival on December 30. However, its current condition didn’t cause any problems or affect my stay in any way. The hotel has a great location in a nice and safe area of Buenos Aires called Recoleta. There are many shops, cafes, and restaurants around. All major Buenos Aires sights are walkable from the hotel. The hotel has a very tiny lobby with a small front desk table that looks more like a security checkpoint for an office building. When I first got there, I had a hard time figuring out where to go. Look for a big “VILON” sign above a tall glass door - that’s the hotel lobby. My check-in was fast and easy. I arrived earlier than the official check-in time, but they allowed me to check in 20 minutes before 3 p.m. A day before my arrival, I requested a room on a high floor with some city views, and they honored my request, putting me on the highest available floor - the 5th. Here I want to mention the wonderful front desk staff - all the girls who worked there were very friendly, professional, and helpful. They gave me many tips about where to go and what to do in Buenos Aires. I had small chats with them every day of my stay, and they all spoke good English. Especially, MUCHAS GRACIAS to Alessandra, Sofi, Karibay, and Ailen for being extremely sweet and friendly to me! My Double Room with Balcony (#504) was big enough. I liked its modern minimalist design, including the light white color palette. Everything was in perfect, brand-new condition. Having a balcony was definitely a pleasure; I sometimes spent time there just chilling. Every single night, I slept with the balcony door open, which brought fresh air into my room, so I didn’t need to use the air conditioner.

To mention the issues and negatives, I would only wish for a bigger refrigerator in the room, a more spacious bathroom, a larger shower stall, and a toilet brush in the bathroom. Also, the room’s generated access code was too long (8 characters), which made it hard to memorize. They should reduce the number of characters to make it easier to remember.

Really great central location. Close to the central and the Obelisk. Lots of great coffee shops and restaurants close by. Nicely designed comfortable rooms. Overall good value for money.

Really awful wifi, virtually unusable in the room, which meant I couldn’t get any work done. Only place to get a decent connection was out in the hall which was impractical. Really poor soundproofing so light sleepers beware. Shower enclosure is quite small. Only one power outlet next to the bed so bedside lamp had to be unplugged to charge anything. Room was super hot due to central heating system so we had to use the air con even though it was the middle of winter. Only place to hang towels was directly above the toilet which seems unhygienic.

I can say that this was one of the best hotels I stayed at in South American countries because its great location, cleanliness, and the modern condition of the room’s amenities gave a really good feeling to the guest. Moreover, all these features, along with a reasonable price considering the quality and location, made this hotel very special in my opinion

To be honest, I think the hotel staff were untrained when it came to greeting guests, and they could have been friendlier. The hotel doesn’t have a special lobby, but this wasn’t a big deal for me. What really mattered was the cleanliness of the room and the excellent amenities, which were great.

I had a great experience at this brand-new hotel in Recoleta, a safe, beautiful, and lovely area of Buenos Aires. The hotel’s staff were nice, professional, and helpful, including the excellent housekeepers who cleaned my room perfectly. Every time they saw me leaving the room with the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door, they still asked if I wanted the room cleaned or needed anything specific. My room was spacious and modern. The bed was large and super comfortable, with very nice, soft pillows. The closet was large and had a safe inside. The room included useful amenities like a refrigerator, coffee maker, and electric kettle. The bathroom wasn’t very big, but I didn’t mind its size. The shower stall was also a bit small, but I had no issues using it. The bathroom amenities were of very high quality and smelled nice. The Wi-Fi was very fast throughout my stay. At just $52 per night, the rate was a great deal. I highly recommend Vilon Hotel for any type of trip, and I’m looking forward to returning once it’s fully finished!

Smart, new city centre hotel, well positioned for the Recoleta area of Buenos Aires. Really helpful and excellent reception staff. Clean and fresh and a good choice to stay. Excellent value.

This ought not downgrade the overall rating of this hotel, but for a newly designed hotel, some of the facilities were odd. Such as bedside lamps you could not possibly read by, very limited clothes storage space (perhaps more suitable for a short trip) and a shower which if you were not slim (we are), might be very tight to enter and use.

I loved the room, the size, the bed, and the decor. I especially loved the bathroom and the A/C air was turned on in my room when I entered and I was pleasantly surprised. Also loved the 2 free bottles of water.

I wasn't a fan of the tightly spaced shower door. I'm not big but I can see this bother some people with wider frames. I found myself hitting my elbows against the door. Also the water pressure on the faucet for the sink was very powerful. A nice additional touch would be adding USB/USC ports to the wall near above the tv.

The hotel was brand new and we were amongst the first guests on the opening day. So all the facilities were still not functional like the breakfast area etc. The mattress was firm and provided excellent support for a good nights sleep. The rooms were clean.

The bathroom does not have any hooks or a place to hang your clothes. The Balcony Door does not have mesh screen door so that one could open the glass doors without the bugs coming in. The locker in the room was locked and there were no instructions to set the code.

All was great: comfortable and cosy room, water pressure, WiFi , breakfast ! I travel often to Buenos Aires , always test different hotel /apartment but this one is super great (value for money ). Special thank for early check in, it was gorgeous ! Thanks a lot and I will come back again !

Maybe the shower cabin is a little small for the person (man who is not so slim )
