We had an assessable room for several nights which was great. The bed was huge, and the room had a small table and chairs to sit and eat at. The kitchenette was appreciated as was the washer and dryer in the bathroom which enabled us to clean our clothes at the end of a week-long trip before we got back home. The staff were friendly, and the room was quite despite being on a busy corner.

A lounge would have been good as you needed to sit on the bed to watch TV although this was not a problem given it was so big.

The room we had was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Nice big TV screen. Location is great as it is a short walk to shops and restaurants. You can purchase food/drinks and other items near the reception area which is a great idea.

We preferred the room we had stayed in on our previous visit which was more modern and had partitions between bed/bathroom/kitchen. This room was a little dated, was very sparse and the lighting in the bathroom was not great. The bathroom cabinet door hit against the ceiling vent. The dooner on the bed appeared to be too short to reach over our shoulders. Wi-fi was non existent unfortunately.

The bed/pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen area was terrific with everything you could wish for, including cooking implements and microwave oven. We liked the fact that you could wash and dry your clothes (not that we needed to) and had an iron and ironing board. The location was perfect for an out-of-town hotel because of the light rail being just around the corner which takes you to the city centre. You can leave your car at the hotel and just relax with the public transport. Across from the hotel is a shopping centre (even 2 op shops!) with restaurants and cafes and department stores. Great!

It was really weird that the bathroom basin was so high - it was nearly up to my chin (I'm 154cm) and there were two power points inside the bathroom cupboard - one of which I couldn't reach! I felt like a little person in a giant's world. I suppose all of the bathrooms are fitted out that way. If so, the hotel needs to provide a step-stool for shorter people to reach.

Location is excellent for work travel as it's convenient to shops and places to eat. The pantry down in the foyer is a great idea, with a $15 voucher included. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and the bar fridge freezer actually froze my ice packs !

More of a suggestion than a dislike : As there is a toaster in your room, the pantry in the foyer would be better if you could get small packs of bread, butter and condiments (vegemite, jam, honey etc..) to make some toast. Maybe some bacon and eggs and cheese would be another good option (frypan supplied in kitchenette).

It was clean and comfortable. The place was secure, and apart from bumping into drunks from the bar while walking to the car and back we felt safe.

Right next to the McDonald’s drive through, we could hear every order. Right until drive through closed. Needed thicker windows. Also, you can hear everyone walking and talking in the hallway, and vice verse if you’re in the hallway you can hear people in their rooms. Also the restaurant app didn’t work. It said closed (9pm, however when checking the restaurant hours they were open until 11pm.

Friendly greeting by reception staff, our room was ready on arrival, information was provided about hotel facilities . Our room and public areas were very clean, No shabby furniture etc. Our beds were comfy, adequate towels. We have stayed at Abode Gungahlin a couple of times as we like the location and proximity to shops, food etc in Gungahlin and the location handy to roads to other areas. We have recommended Abode to our friends and family.

Only that we would like to have a longer stay

The Abode Gungahlin's location is so convenient and the building is bright. The bed was big and comfortable. The building is long. The building hallway/corridor has alternative exits (fire) and entrances, accessible with your room key. The kitchen facilities are adequate to cook a quick meal, or alternatively, there are restaurants within a 5-10 minutes walk from Abode Gungahlin. eg: McDonalds, Dominos, restaurants, bars and the Raiders Sports Club. Abode Gungahlin was a very pleasant surprise. I would definitely stay again.

People talking in the hallway/corridor and children running in the hallway/corridor can be heard from the room.

Large and spacious room with everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Had a small table and 3 chairs we could sit and eat our meal at, there was a lounge and extra seat to watch tv and a small balcony. Overall reasonably comfortable stay for a quick getaway. Room was very clean, shower was nice and small kitchen had what we needed to heat up food and a small fridge. Tea, coffee, milk and hot chocolate refills available at reception. Location was handy to many eateries and shops. It was great for our time there.

The bed wasn't very comfortable and you could feel the crack between two single beds being put together. The pillows didn't hold their shape. It would deter me if I had needed a longer stay.

The reception staff were very friendly and competent. There was a lift even though it was only one floor up which was greatly appreciated. The room was welcoming with the heating being switched on. There was a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs. The bed was king size and very comfortable. Kitchenette had microwave, small hob, small fridge and enough cutlery, crockery and kitchen supplies for 2 people. Bathroom was very adequate with a rainfall shower plus a washing machine and dryer. Walking distance to the Gungahlin marketplace with all the shops you could imagine. Canberra raiders club just around the corner which provided excellent meals. Plenty of take away shops and restaurants all within a few metres of the hotel. Internet was excellent as well.

There were a lot of workers staying there, so if you had the sliding door open to the balcony, there was a lot of noise at night, but apart from that, there were no negatives. Not the hotels fault that people were chatting outside into the night time.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. I also really liked that the room had a washer/dryer in the bathroom. The shower was amazing, good water pressure and a rainfall shower head

The only thing I didn’t like was that there was unused runners in the middle of the blackout curtain rod so I wasn’t able to close them properly and some light came through, I used a claw clip at the top to close them properly
