The room was HUGE! Two Queen size beds, Dining table which would seat 4 people easily, full size chest of drawers , a large cupboard for hanging clothes, a coffee table and room to hold a dance party around the rest of the room. Parking was easy and spacious outsid ethe front door of the room. Also, while not having its own restaurant, it is a 6-7 minute walk to the Old Canberra Inn for dinner and a 5 minute drive to the nearest local shopping centre for breakfast.

Time to replace the cracked glass Shower Screen. I'm sure it's safe but it is unsightly,

The room was large, clean and comfortable. There were plenty of drawers and tables to store our belongings. A great old school motel and would happily stay again. Great value for money for four people

The shower went scalding hot without warning (I guess when someone in another room used theirs) which was a bit scary when the kids were showering. It’s a bit of a way out from the centre city but has good shops and cafes in nearby Dickson and Lyneham and is close to buses and trams.

The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The staff were friendly. the coffee making facilities were fine.

It was good to have a microwave, but it would have been even better to have had a knife, fork, spoon/plate/bowl available. I would have liked a rail on which to hang clothes hangers. It didn't matter but a box of tissues would have been a nice touch. I was unsure what to do with the key when I left as reception was closed and I had no instructions (so left it in the room)

Room are very spacious, easy checkin, bed and pillows comfortable, you have microwave, minibar, everything you need, specially for me that was there for 1 night, shower hot water and good water pressure. The shower fittings was loose so, you have to bending under the water. Despite is a non smoking rooms, you can smell smoking, but that’s not property fault but previous guests. In overall I would stay again for sure

Location was always under 20 minute drive to where we wanted to go. National zoo and Aquarium and the museum as well as costco and canberra centre. Room was a great size with plenty of space for our luggage plus the hauls of goodies we bought during our stay. Large fridge was a bonus instead of the small bar fridges rooms usually have. Felt great that I could also park my car just outside my room. Great water pressure. Would happily stay again!

Rooms are just outdated. A reno would do this place wonders!

It’s local and convenient, accessible on site parking

The rooms are very cold in winter but there were two heaters in the room, when kept on the room stays warm enough but one of my heaters was turned off by cleaning staff after I had asked reception to pass the message on not to turn the heaters off when I’m out of the room and when I came back from my course I struggled to keep warm as the room just wouldn’t heat up quick enough.

Very convenient location, large room w 2 queen beds & crisp bedlinen, microwave, large fridge, dining sized table large enough for 2 people to work, secure parking right outside door. Very little traffic noise.

Cleaning not quite up to standard on this visit. No facilities for hanging any clothes. Bathroom had small but irritating plumbing issues (reported to staff, well received and referred on for maintenance)

Nice motel with friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are a bit old but exceptionally clean. We've been there in July, and the room met us warm and cosy – that was so good considering the cold weather! I do recommend Canberra Lyneham Motor Inn as it's a perfect budget option for the entire family.

It would be good to have some bowls and cutleries in the room along with cups: the lady in the reception said that we should ask if we need anything, but we didn't pay attention to it on arrival, and that was tricky to have breakfast in the morning as the reception opens at 9 am :)

I had a wonderful stay at the City Motel with my family. Canberra Lyneham Motor Inn is located near the city center, which was very convenient for sightseeing and shopping. The room was cozy and clean, with an attached bathroom and extra kitchen stuffs that we needed. The staff were very kind and attentive, and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The price was also very affordable for the value we got. I highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a family-friendly place to stay in Canberra.

There is no wardrobe so possibly some hooks on the wall to hang clothes would be great. There wasn’t anything to say what the wifi password was. Something on the back of the door would be good.
