Great location, adjacent to estuary and with access to kayaks and a nice walk to a playground. Shops/cafe across road. Relaxed vibe, nice lawn area (opens to the water) with pool for warmer months and a fire brazier the owner lit at night. Wharf for fishing. Nice views of inlet (especially from room 1 or 2). Rooms spacious and well-eqiupped (just no oven). Great place for families.

First impression was poor - the apparent access point to "reception" was overgrown and full of leaves, and noone around. However, it quickly redeemed itself - it's a small place with a casual approach, calling the owner on cellphone on arrival is the best way (answered every time, and super helpful).

Very cute place on the water. There are free kayaks and bbqs to use and the fire is turned on in the evening to enjoy. It's also very quiet and relaxing so loved that! The place is clean and quite big too!

The apartments are nice but could do with a little upgrade in terms of furniture. It would make such a huge difference! Also our unit (unit 3) had barely any kitchen supplies such as pots, pans, cups etc. Luckily we brought our own camping cooking stuff. A quick trip to Kmart would do.

The property was clean and fairly basic, just what one would expect at this price. However, the proprietor went over and above to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and the views from our little deck were beautiful; a great place to watch pelicans, wood ducks, willy wagtails, various cormorant species, pacific black ducks, wattle birds, plovers and a few species I could not identify. The lake had mullet jumping and other fish that I did not recognise. In the event, I was unable to catch any of them.

The location was perfect. It’s literally right on the water with a little jetty. The shower has good pressure, there are little shops and really good eateries just up the road and the accommodation is comfortable enough for a few nights. It’s not luxury but it’s a good spot to stay if you’re planning a trip to the area for a few days.

It’s a bit tired and could do with some upgrading and the furniture is old. The cooking utensils were pretty old and a bit yucky.

Great location with a lovely view. The accommodation was air-conditioned and the bed was comfortable. The pool was clean. There was a cafe and shops nearby which was convenient.

There were not enough plates provided in the kitchenette. For example, there was only one dinner plate! This meant you had to constantly be washing up and couldn't use the dishwasher as there were never enough dishes to put in it at one time. The room was quite noisy too. I could hear the family next door through the bedroom wall, which woke me up early every morning. There were also a lot of brown cockroaches in the kitchen cupboards.

The place overflowed with retro charm, it was impeccably clean and well facilitated. The bed was comfy also, my wife and I only strayed one night and would have liked longer as the location on the lake was quiet and peaceful…

The weather wasn’t too flash, but the general ambience made up for it.. the only other thing, which wasn’t really a dislike, were the grounds and garden which could’ve done with a bit of attention.

JUST WOW! We actually booked 5 cabins as we had a family wedding close by. From the first point of contact with Steve booking the accommodation I knew I had secured a winner! Steve was wonderful through the months leading up to our stay, and I added cabin by cabin as I talked my entire family into staying here. When we arrived at Lake Edge, it was beyond idyllic and serene, and honestly, even the photos didn't do it justice; it was a 10/10. Right on the water with a gorgeous jetty watching the black swans, pelicans, and little black cormorants, as well as jumping fish and shooting stars at night. Steve puts out the logs and sets you up with a little fire pit by the lake to watch the sunset! The apartments themselves are spotlessly clean, the beds are very comfortable, and all the areas are very generous in size. Plus, all the comforts of home are provided. Everyone had a wonderful time and cannot wait to stay again!

There is honestly nothing I could fault about Lake Edge Apartments. Just take note of 1 car space per apartment, but there is plenty of on-street parking right outside, so it wasn't an issue.

The location, the overall conditions and space provided. Very comfortable for family.

The apartment did not have the chimney working in The kitchen and despite me notifying the first day it could not be fixed during my three nights stay. Also it has just one AC and no fans for the entire unit of two large bedrooms plus living and dining so during summer that can be a problem.

This is old school accomodation that has a lot of character. It is in an amazing location and the fire pit at night was beautiful. The bed was super comfortable with crisp sheets. Shower temperature and pressure was good. Loved feeding the ducks and the lorikeets. Accomodation has full kitchen with seperate dining.

The place is old so don’t expect 5 star but is comfortable and has everything you need. Wifi was weak and the TV was too small for the room.

Lovely location right next to the lake. Beautiful lake views. Walking distance to shops and cafe. Well-maintained property with a pool. Bed was comfortable, shower had good water pressure, and the kitchen/loungeroom area was spacious. The property owner was friendly.

A little more attention to cleaning would be good. It was quite dusty, hair was in the bathroom vanity cabinet, and the fridge door was super sticky!
