I loved everything about the room. It was modern, clean, and had all the amenities that we needed. The heater/inverter was our favorite haha the location is prime, right across the road from the echo point attraction and minutes away from scenic world and thr main road of katoomba and katoomba rsl. We have a baby with us and we were able to stay comfortably, with our car right outside the door and they had extra blankets too for warmth. We went to a place called "the bank" which is apart of the carrington hotel for dinner, and theres a woolies in town too for normal foods and snacks to take back to the room. Theres alot of space for them too at the room. The 2nd day we went to a couple of lookouts, look on google for them, theyre super close around the motel. We went to Govetts Leap and Cahills Lookout, was so good and yup took the baby with the pram and just carried to some of the points and left the pram nearby. This nigjt we went and booked for Katoomba RSL for dinner, it was really yum and there was a band. During this night IT SNOWED. was a highlight for us as a family. Hehe 3rd day when we left we went to scenic world super early before it opened, took the pram and was able to put it in their special room there, the rides are the best and theres a cafe there for coffee. And again, around the corner from the motel. One of the best parts was the staff, the front reception were so friendly and helpful and gave us a little snack gift (or chapange -we dont drink so snacks it is) because the cleaners may not have been able to clean for one of the days which really thoughtful and unheard of in these days with customer service. The cleaners ended up being available that day anyway and they worked hard all day making sure the rooms were cleaned and ready for more people checking in. Hope they had a well deserved break/pay rise! The room is amazing, more than great value for its location and for everything mentioned.
We loved everything.

Nicely updated. Very nice looking room, bathroom, decor. Lots of small tables made things very convenient.
Not enough power points in the room. There was only one and it was in use. There was an outlet in the bathroom though.

Excellent location and value for a short stay! We stayed at Echo Point Discovery Motel for one night on 5 April and really enjoyed the convenience of its location. It’s just a short walk to the Three Sisters, Echo Point lookout and several scenic walking trails around the cliffs. Perfect spot if you’re looking to explore the Blue Mountains without needing to drive everywhere. The room was basic but clean and comfortable—ideal for a short trip. Staff were friendly and check-in was smooth. Great value for money given how close it is to all the key attractions. Would definitely recommend for anyone after a budget-friendly stay in a prime location!
AC is only one directional, does not cover the full room

Excellent location, walking distance to attractions and short drive to main shopping area. Room was comfortable and warm. Nice view from our window. Staff approachable and friendly.
Tiny bathroom, with nowhere to hang towels. After showering, water leaked all over the bathroom floor, no matter how careful you were, due to poor design of tiny bathroom. There was no decent hanging space in room, just a flimsy plastic arm propped against the wall. Only two mugs and two teaspoons provided, no other crockery or cutlery, even though there is a microwave. Smoke alarm went off somewhere in building around midnight and went for a couple of hours. No fire brigade attended & no advice anywhere in room as to procedure if this happens. Obviously false alarm but a bit unnerving at the time. Staff knew nothing about it when I advised what had happened.

Fantastic location and comfort. Parking was appreciated. We walked to the information centre at Echo Point and The Three Sisters. Katoomba Falls and Scenic World was a few minutes' drive away or easy walk.. We walked the two km to Katoomba Train Station, as Uber was unavailable, and buses didn't run early on the Sunday. Caught the train to Sydney, 2 hour trip but enjoyable. Loved our stay at Echo Point Discovery Motel.
The room was incredibly damp. The fridge is in a non ventilated cupboard. The air con doesn't remove any moisture from the room. The room was newly refurbished and beautiful, but the moisture problems need to be fixed, or the rooms will deteriorate very quickly.

The location, size and cleanliness of our room was perfect for a mum and 2 young children. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom was a decent size. After our first night, we were able to walk down to Echo Point and begin our bushwalk from there. The inclusion of a microwave made eating dinners on a budget very easy to do as well. Being able to connect to the wifi also meant that we could stream our favourite shows and movies on our laptop (our room happened to be one with an older TV in it).
If you're travelling with young children, it would be wise to bring power socket/outlet covers as they weren't included in the room (however this seems to be standard practice in most accommodations).

Location - a short 4 minutes walk to Three Sisters Lookout where it has a restaurant and a picnic area. Across the road there is a bus stop to take you to Scenic World (Main cable car+rail train station), Katoomba Falls picnic area and Cascade Waterfall that leads you to other cliff walk. - Queen bed is comfy, sofa bed is doubly large, clean shower, very quiet - Free car park on site right in front of our room - Friendly staff, great communication during booking for confirmation
- A bit pricey - Check out too early (at 10am) - No room service during Easter break, but compensated with a choice of snack box or a bottle of wine

The location of Echo Point is very convenient to Echo Point, the Three Sisters lookout, and the Prince Henry Cliff Walk. There is a bus stop right out in front to help you get back into town and to places like Scenic World. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room itself was very comfortable and accommodating for our short stay.
The property is on the older side, so please tamper expectations on what some newer properties would offer. However, this really wasn’t a negative, because how much time do you want to be spending inside, when you have so much to explore, see, and do.

Can’t beat this location if you want to be near the 3 Sisters - it’s expensive for a motel, but the value is in the location.
Met expectations for a motel but it doesn’t have much character. Once in the motel you could be anywhere in the world. The sister motel where breakfast and common room facilities are is in the town, which is easy to get to if you have a car (5min) but about a 30min walk. Wifi was very temperamental. The room type I got mentioned it could either be configured to 2 single beds or 1 king bed so I assumed this would be an easy change if needed, but when I sent a request the day before and followed up with a phone call the morning of check in I was told it wasn’t possible with all rooms - I think this was down to me just not making the change request in time though.

The rooms have been recently updated I believe, and they were great. Location was a 5 minute walk from a great viewpoint of the three sisters, and only a 5 minute drive from Scenic World. Good value for the location it was in. The front desk staff was very helpful with showing us where things were and what was happening in town, such as the music festival. Was a lot better than I thought it was going to be, for the price we paid.
Beds. Like the Goldilocks story, one side of the bed was real good, and the other was way too soft....Two singles pushed together to make a queen plus? We'd call it a King back home. Pillows were actually pretty good though. It's still old key operation, which is fine, but the doors are snug to close, and there is a knob that doesn't turn, but rather to use to push open. Minor detail, but if you're not careful you can slam your hand in the door when closing. Laundry facilities could have been better, but still glad we got to use them.
