Location

The double deckers tour bus went past our window looking in. The corner of the shower recedes at the floor joint was pretty dirty??? People with unruly children and the laziness of some other guests for example around the pool. Not your fault

Really good breakfast. Accessible room was super convenient for my parents. Beautiful hotel so close to the three sisters viewing point. Easily one of the best locations to stay in Blue Mountains. Staff was amazingly helpful at the breakfast. Kudos to Anusha who attended to all out needs at the breakfast with our toddler. Staff at the reception was so welcoming as well. Few of these staff is why I can not rate this hotel any less than 5 stars.

While some staff was absolutely awesome, there was a staff person (lady) at dinner lounge who emitted cold vibes. It's good if all staff are trained to smile and be kind to the guests. On Monday night, when we just asked about next day's breakfast, she started talking about her standards in coffee etc which kind of made no sense to us. Talking about smiles, same goes to the gentleman who was seated at the front entrance early in the morning. It will be great to hear a cheerful good morning from the staff early in the morning in your hotel rather than attitude.

The room was comfortable, quiet, and spacious, with a classic design that added a touch of charm. The bathroom was well-equipped with both a bathtub and a shower. We stayed for a couple of nights just before the school holidays, so we had the chance to enjoy all the facilities such as swimming pools and a pool table without the crowds. The building itself is beautiful and elegant, surrounded by lush gardens, and located in a peaceful area—yet still very close to the main tourist attractions and walking routes. It struck a perfect balance between tranquility and convenience. The staff were exceptionally polite and always helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety of options, including hot dishes, cereals, fresh vegetables and fruits, pastries, and even a juicer for fresh juice. A great start to each day!

The location was fantastic. Within walking distance to the Three Sisters and Echo Point. Property was exceptionally well maintained and clean. We loved our room with a separate lounge area which we used a lot. Great size bathroom. Shower was great. My husband loved the outdoor heated pool. Great reading places. Breakfast was lovely. Good selection of breakfast items. I especially loved the pastries and we both loved the homemade granola. We had dinner on Saturday night in the Lounge which was delicious. A great get away to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

The pillows were too soft.

The hotel is c;lose to the Three Sisters though we did not see signage at the Hotel telling you which way to get to them. It is quiet and clean. Good storage space in the suite. It is quite spacious. Foyer is quite nice as are the sitting and restaurant area.

Booking in is made hard by lack of information on parking procedures and access to oonsite parking, which you need to know before you check-in. We drove around trying to figure where to park to check-in as the drive through was blocked with cars. Leaving the garage is not easy as there is no clearly marked sign where the out switch is. The room service is not good. No healthly grills or steamed dishes on the menu. Our meal arrived half cold. It is not cheap and not good value for money or your health. No coffee table in the suite is weird as you have no where to put your drinks. The restaurant choices are confusing. Set price menus are not good value for money. There was no complimentary items in the room other than water and milk.

Beautiful rooms in historic hotel. Good shower and separate bath, nice products, fridge and kettles in the rooms. Rooms were very comfortable but decorated with a nod to the buildings history. Lovely helpful staff. Excellent breakfast ( juice machines, barista coffee and excellent choice) lovely indoor and outdoor pool. Good food in the lounge (book a table when busy). Games room had full size snooker table and chess. Underground and overground parking included. Location was brilliant for walks/ runs to Echo point.

We were there over bank holiday weekend, which was busy and it was very difficult to get a lounger by the pool. Staff worked hard replenishing pool towels and serving drinks/ food to the pool but a few more loungers or extending g the space somehow would be good. I imagine it was a particularly busy time.

The location is unbeatable. Right on the Echo point viewing platform for the Blue Mountains. The facilities are 5 star and therefore excellent as expected. The staff are friendly, engaging and attentive, mostly. The breakfast facilities are excellent, the bar and lounge are also excellent in very detail. Our room was clean, well proportioned and there wasn’t any noise.

The swimming pool area was neglected during our stay. Possibly due to the time of year, however I would have expected the pool bar facilities to be open. Ducks seem to regularly use the pool which although cute, they are using it as a bathing and toileting area. The pool cleaning equipment was dumped in the pool but not actually working…pretty pointless for cleaning up the duck poo that had sunk to the bottom. Hence my note that a lack of hotel attention to a fairly fundamental area in my opinion. One last point regarding the showers. The racks for holding shampoo etc are at a very awkward hieght/place and should be repositioned. I can’t recall the number of times I accidentally hit my elbows and even my face on them. Not ideal.

The swimming pool, the shade to relax in around the pool, the beauty everywhere you looked, the big pot of orchids at the foot of the stairs, the generous bathroom, the matching wallpaper and curtains, the comfortable beds, the cleanliness, the staff, the lounge, the toiletries, the robes, the umbrellas, the location, being advised of the Katoomba Falls night walk and doing it, the beautiful gardens, the leafy outlook, being able to open the window, the little fresh vases of flowers in the lounge, the decor and the recognition of the traditional custodians and their continuing connection to the ancient land.

No sheets meant we had to turn the air conditioning on to cold because it was the quilt or nothing. The lamplight was too dim for reading and one lamp flickered, we also couldn’t work out how to put all the lamps on. It felt terrible to see staff working dressed head to toe in black on a hot day when we were swimming in the pool - light coloured cotton cool Summer uniforms would be better. We considered eating in the restaurant but it seemed that you had to order three courses, it seemed that breakfast was also a compulsory $39 meal - it would be nice to be able to eat something lighter and cheaper.

High tea was excellent, as was also the room. Darleys restaurant was an excellent venue with very good service.

The menu at Darleys was limited and dishes too ostentatious with emphasis on the unusual rather than eating satisfaction. There were no common or basic options available for someone wanting a quality but fulfilling meal. By contrast the in-house self serve breakfast was much the same as one would get at a 3 or 4 star hotel. An a-la-Carte option would have been appreciated. The bread was of a low quality and of few options. With the exception of the High Tea, the meals were not up to standard or value for money.

Charming resort in a great location—we loved being able to step out the back door and hike for miles. The staff were wonderful, everyone we met was kind and helpful. Loved the reusable water bottles in the rooms, every hotel should do that!

We paid a premium for a deluxe room with view. There was no view — the room simply looked out onto a small patch of back garden and a row of eucalyptus trees. And the creaky metal bed was noisy and uncomfortable. It didn’t feel deluxe at all.
