Our stay was perfect from arrival to leaving. Hosts Mandy and Shane were welcoming and helpful. The location was quiet and the decor serene. The bed was luxuriously comfortable and the kitchenette had everything we needed. Having an enclosed and private courtyard was fabulous and the large bathroom overlooking it was opulent. Breakfasts were thoughtfully prepared and greatly appreciated and being able to recharge our car without going elsewhere was also a big positive. Despite being luxurious and beautiful this accommodation truly was dog-friendly, inside and out. Our border collie was welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed his stay and his treats!

This stay exceeded my expectations in every single way! 1. Mandy was an amazing host - she made us feel so welcome! 2. The room was WOW! The tagline for this property is “Luxury Bed & Breakfast”, but it should really be “LUXURY Bed & Breakfast”. The room was five star quality - the finishing a, the bed, the linen, the interior design… AMAZING! We had lots of space too. 3. Relative to the quality of room & service - it’s an absolute steal! If Mandy charged double, I’d still come back 4. It’s really hard to find a place that is dog friendly, let alone somewhere as nice as this! This place had a fenced back yard that made us feel super safe & secure to let our pouch roam freely. 5. And if all that wasn’t enough, we were served a cracking breakfast the next day! I’ll 100% be back!

Our entire stay was very comfortable. The accomodation and rooms are new (very stylish and tastefully decorated) with all your expected creature comforts looked after. For a bed and breakfast you also get hotel like ammenities (mini fridge, iron, tea and coffee making facilities etc.). I can't thank Mandy enough for making us feel right at home and comfortable. The gardens are beautiful. The Bed and Breakfast feels like a secluded hideaway for sure. So much care and thought has been put into the entire property. OH - you can also hear the ocean from the rooms, which is brilliant. The included breakfast made up of a hot meal and yoghurt with fresh fruit was such a welcome treat! It started off our day perfectly. If you can, we HIGHLY recommend having the wonderful hosts make you dinner. When you arrive tired and flustered (usually after a long drive) there is nothing like having dinner sorted for you. We had the Thai snapper and it was utterly delicious (with a cheeky glass of wine)!

There were no negatives. My only suggestion would be that maybe there could be some memory foam pillows for those who like a firmer pillow for sleeping.

The breakfast was great. The service - once I found out how to find it - was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed great. Everything very modern and attractive.

It took me a good ten minutes to raise the owner/operator. Having been given a PIN I assumed there would be a keypad entry procedure. Not so. It would be a good idea to give guests some (immediate) contact details (like a phone number) when they book, to avoid them wandering about at night, banging on doors in an attempt to gain entry.

it was beautiful, very quiet and calm and Mandy was so lovely to deal with. she let us meet her dog Honey and it was a lovely stay. outdoor space is so pretty and I loved the big shower and light up mirror in the bathroom.

I have a thing about textures being overwhelming and hated the linen bed sheets so I didn’t sleep well, but my boyfriend had the BEST sleep there - the bed was so large and comfortable and didn’t move when either of us moved around. I also didn’t realise I booked the room without the bath and was disappointed but that was my fault.

Tallowwood House is simply amazing. The space is beautifully designed, spacious and comfortable. There is a lot of greenery in the outdoor courtyard and in the yard beyond. It seemed like our own little private oasis and was definitely what me and my partner needed after a day of travelling. Mandy, the host, is incredibly kind and welcoming - she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. The breakfast supplied by Mandy was also incredible. This bed and breakfast is a must stay and we highly recommend it. Me and my partner’s only regret was not staying longer!

The breakfast Mandy provided was so delicious, served with an absolute minimum of fuss and with such style and panache. Beautiful fruit, delicious sourdough, and the beautiful touch of homemade marmalade. We will be recommending and returning.

There wasn't anything really that we were not happy with. Maybe the experience could have been enhanced by a coffee pod machine, rather than the plunger coffee supplied. But this was such a minor thing.

Everything! my fiancé and I had the most wonderful stay on our way up to Queensland. The property was beautifully presented and Mandy was the best host. The bed had to be the comfiest we have ever slept in! I would much rather come back here then stay in a hotel ever again!! we have already booked our second stay as we loved it so much.

Tallowwood House is the most relaxing room in a breath taking location. Driving through suburbia you don’t expect a gem like this and then you walk through and are at peace as soon as you see the decor with a rainforest backdrop. Mandy is also killer at making poached eggs, we will be back! Only a few minutes drive from the beach
