The hotel is in a great location and is reasonably priced. It has a charm of its own. The owners are both very nice and helpful. I booked the only single room in the hotel and it is close to reception so I was worried it would be noisy but it wasn't, so all good! The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and included a fridge with a small bottle of milk, free WiFi, a desk & chair, a kettle and tea/coffee, mug, glass, bowl & plate, cutlery, a toaster, a flat screen TV and an ensuite bathroom - all the facilities I needed for an overnight stay.

The ensuite bathroom was very small but clean and adequate. There is very limited parking space so I found it best to park in the street outside the front of the hotel.

The room was very comfy and smelt fresh on arrival. Toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge were excellent. The bed was great. Loved the carpet on the floor.

The door into the bathroom needed a clean and/or painting. The new curtains need ironing. The soundproofing was minimal. The guy next door snored incessantly all night on the first night. It kept me awake. For me, it was a long walk to the car park at the back of the property. I am in possession of a disability parking permit to clarify this statement.

It has everything one would expect at a Motel in this price range. There is a smart TV of decent size, good airconditioning unit and plenty of power points, lighting fittings and ceiling fan. Free WIFI. There is a free self serve capsule coffee machine located at the unmanned reception desk that brews good range of coffee from espresso to capuchino, etc Plenty of hot water for a decent shower. A coin operated washing machine is available on site.

The kitchen and bathroom facilities are pretty dated and could do with a make over, the electric range oven unit while functional could be considered a collector item or museum piece. I had problem locating the key box but help was at hand so all well and good.

Compact but very comfortable and well equipped room. Great to have decent refrigerator, microwave and good supply of crockery / cutlery. Nice view at front of property with ocean glimpses through public open space framed by Norfolk Island pine trees. Good sunrise view.

Parking a bit problematic - no dedicated spot for the allocated room and limited on site common spaces. Street parking in front of property was easy for this stay but it was mid-winter so it may be more challenging in warmer months. Some minor maintenance issues such as delaminating on bathroom vanity and loose door fittings on patio sliding door but it seems that the owners are steadily making improvements.

The location was perfect, about 700m to Town Beach (patrolled), and 400m to Oxley Beach, from where you can access the 9km Coastal Walk to Lighthouse Beach. The owners are super responsive and will attend to your needs. We requested a cooktop which was delivered promptly. Our room was on the ground floor and had an undercover parking space in front of our unit, and some outdoor space at the back, also undercover, by the strip of grass. Our bathroom was due a renovation, but it was functional for what we needed. All the rooms have fan ceilings, and the living room also had aircon. The kitchenette did the job for feeding the kids for 6 days and the capsule coffee machine at reception did the job well as the nearest coffee shop was closed due to the Christmas holidays.

The sink in the bathroom was really small, but it should look nice once renovated.

Cleanliness, location, room and communication from staff was overall excellent.

The room came with a small selection of eating essentials such a plate, bowl, cutlery, etc however there was no dishwashing liquid or dish sponge/cloth and only the small bathroom sink so it was impossible to properly clean up after eating from some of the diningware provided. Anyway, the next morning I woke up to the bowl I’d used for dinner was infested with ants :(

Our two bedroom unit was tastefully renovated and very well equipped, with great beds and pillows and plenty of space for our family of four. There was a good big table, comfortable couch and even an outdoor setting on our own little back patio. We also appreciated the coffee machine at Reception. It was excellent value and exceeded our expectations. Perfect for a one night stay, next time we’d be tempted to stay an extra night.

It was a good space for our family. It had everything we needed. It is located in a nice quiet area and close to the ocean. It will be somewhere i will book again if we need to go back to Port.

The room was a little bit dated, but the owners have done a great job of trying to renovate an older building, this is reflected in the price, so its not really a negative.

Perfect location, quirky little place with 2 bedroom apartments, which is perfect for our family of 4. Great little outside seating area, parking right in front of the room, comfy beds, lovely decor and personal touches. We'll definitely stay again!

Cold tap in shower was broken. The tap had been fixed but still came off in my hand. Also, I'd love to see refillable, natural, toxin-free toiletries. Better for the environment and for us humans! Both very small points which in no way impaired our stay.

My room was like a warm hug for a very weary traveler. The room was larger than I expected with kitchenette and separate lounge room. Very comfortable bed and lounge with a relaxed atmosphere. Looks like the room was recently renovated but it still had a bit of retro charm. I didn't meet the owners but their messages were informative and friendly. Highly recommend!
