the motel is handy to the rail station if you're training, which I have several times, and a hotel opposite which has very good meals. Its a little bit of a walk to town, but certainly doable. The place is a basic hotel stay, its clean, comfy beds, a/c, wifi, and reasonably kitted out. Despite its close proximity to the hotel, there is minimal noise disruption. Out of hours key distribution system works well with easy to follow instructions emailed to you on the day.

Nothing really stood out as a negative except the hot water taps in ours and adjoining rooms made a noise when running which could be heard.

Room had a lounge, more comfortable than chairs.Microwave in room but no cutlery or crockery. Mugs for tea or coffee. There was a room dedicated as kitchen on ground floor. Room as clean as you would expect.

Room was allocated on 2nd floor, as I walk with stick, was not good. Check in was with a machine at front door, sun was shining on screen was impossible to see, with a phone call with absent reception it was finally resolved.

The room was very nice and clean, the manager and the cleaning staff where very helpful. The downside was the two small cartons of milk in the fridge in my room where frozen so I couldn't use them, also the cover of the fan in the bathroom come off, the hot water tap in the handbasin in the bathroom was very hard to turn on. The 2 litre bottle of milk in the quest kitchen was off and needs to be thrown out.

The beds were comfortable and and the shower pressure was amazing. The front desk lady was lovely very kind and friendly. Having an air con was a very big plus. And I really appreciate that we had a towl, hand towl and face washer for all guests.

The ceiling fan looked like it was going to fall of, the the toilet had a slight leak when you flushed it, and the fan in the bathroom was rusty and didn't work so when you showered it would get very hot in the bathroom. And the with all the beds in a small room it made it hard to walk as there wasn't much space. To many lights in carpark left on at night made it very bright outside.

Having stayed at the Crest for many years it was as expected. Convenient, not expensive and good facilities. The instant hoit water sytem is a particular bonus.

Once upon a time the Crest offered an included breakfast. Not fancy, but convenient and time saving. The checking in was also more personal then. A key machine may be efficient but lacks a welcome.

Very straightforward process to do the check in, they have a device for 24 24-hour check in, which is really convenient, great location and good price. There is a little community kitchen that helps if you want to heat up something.

The room had a slightly weird smell, possibly from the carpet, but otherwise everything else was okay.

Very well priced accommodation in a convenient location. It's on a main road but sound wasn't an issue, it was mostly quiet in the evening. After hours check-in was very smooth and the room was warm and comfortable. It's an ideal option for single-night stays and solo travelers.

As has already been noted by other reviews, the facilities are older and in need of renovation. The bathroom was particularly small and there were a few other small annoying elements (i.e. kettle can't be filled under bathroom taps, shower head sprays water in every which direction, including directly up to the ceiling). That being said, everything was clean and tidy so provided your expectations are reasonable and aligned with the price, you'll be satisfied with this accommodation option.

Room was very clean with everything needed. Lovely & quite. Looks like rooms have just been renovated, Lovely full curtains but did have trouble in my room. Good hotel just across the road for dinner.

my room 7, the curtain could not be pulled right across & there was a light just outside the room which was quite bright.

We arrived late and received straight forward check in instructions. (Code to access key). We left early and there was a drop box. The aircon in the room Heated the room quickly. The beds clean and comfortable. Our room quiet.

We didn’t see any staff from check in to check out - this wasn’t a problem for us though as we had everything we needed.

Very comfortable and quite accomodation for single travellers in rooms 26 and 27. Room 27 the pick with an oversize bed and larger room area. Great pub and pub food across the road. A great place to stay if you want comfortable accomodation on a budget.
