The rooms were really lovely and beds comfy. The bathroom was sparkling clean and nice shower with great stream, nice and strong! The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful with everythingOverall really good.

The room was well presented and clean. The bathroom was impressively clean with minimal mould in grout and NO visible grime or hair or anything else unpleasant. The security on the rooms windows was impressive. There are plenty of accessible power points. There was a well-used Thai restaurant on site - this would have been very handy for guests and locals. I spoke to one staff member on the phone who was very pleasant and told me to request a ground floor room - this was very good advice as I had only had a hysterectomy a week and a half prior. The cleaner was very chatty and nice to talk too. The price of this motel was almost $50 cheaper than the one that I had intended on staying in. Great for the budget.

Despite being very clean, the drains in the bathroom need treatment to remove odours captured within them - sometimes drains get an odour like mould. I didn't like listening to dogs yapping all night. If people are going to have their dogs on site, then perhaps they could be present with them to control their disruptive barking. This is the fault of the guests though, not the motel. No electric blanket. I know it's summer but some people still appreciate an electric blanket. Overall, the bedding (sheets, blanket, I don't think there was a quilt) was very light and I froze! But I do like my quilt to keep me sniug and warm.

The friendliness, attitude and professionalism of the manager and cleaning staff. If I had a request, it would be done very quickly. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Would definitely stay there again.

The facilities need maintenance/upgrades in areas. I had a hole in the bathroom ceiling, the toilet took a very long time to fill after flushing (over 20 minutes) and things like that. The washing machine stopped working during my stay as well.

The location and value were excellent and the room was very clean and tidy.

There was a problem with drainage in the bathroom and water accumulated over the floor. We were not supplied with bathmats and towels were not changed so that was difficult to manage. There were times when cigarette smoke would waft into the room, we don't know where it came from especially with doors and windows shut but it was very unpleasant.

The motel is well situated about two killometres from the main shopping centre there is plenty of parking. I had two cars both were safe from the street. The manager was very helpful as we didn't make it to the motel due to a car brake down we arrived a week after our original booking with two cars in lieu of one. The management was very understanding of our situation.

The manager has been lovely. Very pleasant to deal with and very responsive.

The rooms need updating with at least maintenance. Missing ceiling vent covers, toilet brushes are old and rusty etc. It is clear the owner does not like to spend money on maintenance.

The room was well furnished with table and chairs, luggage racks, microwave and crockery, quiet location, good air conditioner, good bed and pillows. Hot and strong shower, big shower recess.

The shower screen did not seal at the bottom and water leaked across the floor. The tap spout in the bathroom was too big for the sink and if you weren't very careful the water splashed everywhere.

When we arrived and relayed the story of our problems during our travels to Canberra the manager's first response was to provide us with a cold beer from his own fridge. If this is evidence of the way they treat their guests, we could not rate this property more highly. It's not the Hyatt Hotel, but it is clean, friendly, quiet and comfortable. If you are looking for a place to stay in the Canberra area, you really need to look closely at the Grand Manor.

There was very little not to like.

The room is equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster and basic utensils/ 2 bowls/ 2 plates so it’s a small kitchenette. It’s close enough to walk to several fast food places as well as other shops. Everything is dated but it’s clean.

Smokers were sitting outside near our room so we couldn’t keep our door open .

A microwave, toaster, kettle with coffee/tea and biscuits was supplied, so easy to prepare own food if desired. Beds were comfortable, air conditioned, and the bathroom had a very good shower with bath. Plenty of parking

No flyscreens except on toilet window to balcony. Restaurant was not open, not sure if it is now closed. No information could be found re wifi password
