No breakfast included. Access to the front of the Dive Hotel is difficult due to street side steps and ramps + not easy for Uber driver to find a spot to pull over to the kerb. However, when leaving, the proprietor helped us a lot to have the Uber drive into near the rear hotel entrance. The hotel is comfy enough but the old timber floors transmit noise readily from overhead activity. This is not a show-stopper unless the upstairs guest is noisy. The hotel us very handy to the heart of Coogee and across the road from the beach of course. Overall a satisfactory-good accommodation for our 1 night stay.

Location was excellent being right across from the beach, and surprisingly quiet for being so close to the Coogee Bay Hotel. Liked the communal outdoor area out the back (pleasantly surprised) and handy having the communal kitchen.

The room smelt musty as you walk in but that's to be expected for an old building. One of the bathroom lights doesn't work - just flickered like a strobe light, and water sprays everywhere from the shower so everything gets wet... but nothing towels don't fix. And the bath towels still had remnants of old stains on them. But these were all things you can look past. The room had no view from the window (I think it looked out to a corrugated iron fence) so it's not a place you want to spend a lot of time but with everything at your doorstep you don't need to. I'd still go back and stay again if I needed to.

You can't get any better than this location wise. Walking distance to everything. In the heart of the action. The room has been updated beautifully. The building on the outside & foyer needs a little revamp, but the room we had was beautiful. Nicely furnished & updated. For us, we are only there to sleep & a few hrs of an afternoon to enjoy the magnificent ocean view with a drink & some nibbles. Other than that, we enjoyed all that Coogee has to offer. Bondi MOVE OVER!! COOGEE kills it!

Excellent location, as I attended a music event at Selinas, meeting friends from all over NSW. Communication from staff on the day to ensure I had access to the right information re: codes and arrival time (as public transport further delayed the ETA. Really comfortable bed. Great to have a little kitchenette - thank you.

Unfortunately, I fell down the spiral staircase as I was leaving on the Sunday & injured my knee. So that was a sad way to end the stay, but other than that, I really enjoyed the stay and appreciated the communication from staff.

The location couldn't be better. Just step outside and the beach is across the street, along with many restaurants to choose from. I also like the maid service, they were very thorough and helpful. Easy instructions for checking in and out. I liked that there were extra towels downstairs in case you forgot your towel in the room on the way to the beach. Excellent for solo travelers!

I stayed in a room without the sea view, kinda wish I saw the sea. But I could at least hear the water!

Great location, we had room 25 and it was a bit tired but clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. This room comes with a great balcony which made the room seem bigger. It was not sea facing but this is something we knew and was quiet. It was just what we wanted and such a great location however the lady statue with the swimming costume and hat which was quite iconic feature is alas no more! Please get her fixed!!! Very informative and helpful staff 👌

Lovely quiet hotel right on Coogee Beach. Very spacious room with good sound proofing. Extra large bed with sufficient power outlets around the room and bed. Bathroom had a lot of space, but could benefit from an extra shelf above/near the basin. Good lighting, and curtains seemed to be blackout. I’d definitely stay here again. House keeping every day which is a real benefit as being by the beach we sometimes brought sand in accidentally. Wifi was very good. We had a small issue that needed to be sorted but there wasn’t anyone at reception at the time. There was a phone number to call/text but I don’t have a local sim, instead I emailed and was so impressed with how quickly they replied and also sorted the issue.

The Dive hotel is located across the road from the beach. It’s very affordable for the location. We stayed in a room upstairs. We have also stayed in the rooms downstairs. The rooms are large and have all the basics you need. The bed was comfortable. As it is an old building you can hear when people move around in some rooms. This was not a huge issue just good to know.

The front door to the hotel did not feel very secure but we did not have any issues.

Location location location! And the price for the location! This hotel may not suit everyone - it’s quite ‘hostelly’ with common areas etc. And it’s getting a little tired - but we have been coming here for years and love it. We are really only there to sleep and shower and change. It is opposite the beach - sandwiched between the Coogee Bay Pub and Crowne Plaza, and it’s the best!

Amazing location, comfy bed in the king room and great view from balcony, The person on the desk was also super helpful with parking and the night clerk was excellent when helping to sort out an issue with our room booking.

Difficulty communicating with manager, tried calling multiple times and never answered or returned my call. When they did respond it was via message. When we arrived we were given a double room when I booked and paid for a king room with balcony. The manager could not be contacted. Thankfully there was a night clerk who could help rectify the situation.
