Best hostel in Sydney by far! The location cannot be beaten, the staff and guests are genuinely good vibes and there's always fun events to attend. Whether you're staying there long term or just for a few days, you will feel comfortable and accepted (no weird cliquey vibes here!). The staff actually chase up anyone leaving their dirty dishes unwashed, which ensures the kitchen is as clean as a hostel kitchen can be. The kitchen is also cleaned by staff multiple times a day, as are all other common areas. Anyone who acts inappropriately is kicked out (unlike some other hostels you may have left purely because some of the guests were horrible to be around). I've been to many hostels in Sydney last year, but this one is the only one I came back to this year, and for a reason. Highly, highly recommend!

the location couldn’t be better: right on the beach, shops and bus station very close! everyone is pretty friendly and easy going, staff is nice and helpful kitchen’s open h24 balconies in some rooms nice common area

the kitchen is very small, one sink for the whole hostel is not enough (big fridge though!) and people tend to leave their dirty dishes (maybe putting a sign saying that they could get fined for it would work? seems to work in other hostels) no curtains on the windows in some rooms made it hard to sleep in the morning since the sun is up 5:45am

Super friendly staff and awesome location.

Some people had left their belongings all over the common area. Just thrown their stuff all around including rubbish and dirty clothes. The staff apologised to us for this and let us know that it would be followed up, but not sure if and how this was done.

Facilities were clean and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It’s was great stay overall and the accommodation is opposite the beach and situated in a great location. Bus stop is just on the opposite side of the street. Great place if you enjoy walking up early to watch sunrise. The trail start for Coogee to Bondi walk is only 5 min from the accommodation.

Beautiful views of the beach from the balcony and perfect location if you’re looking to chill or surf by the sea for a bit, or go for walks along the coast. Stayed in a 12 bed which was surprisingly spacious and comfortable.

Difficult to mingle with others as they had already formed a group. I would say it’s quite a ‘clicky’ hostel which isn’t the hostels fault at all but just thought I’d mention.

Staff were great. Very good atmosphere, and everyone is very welcoming. stayed for an extra week just as there was such a family feel. Beach Trips, and Nights out together. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in in Australia

People were leaving the kitchen in a bad state, which wasn’t fair to the housekeepers, and everyone else. So implementing tighter rules on that would be beneficial.

Water pressure can clean your thoughts. Beds are softer than the usual hostel wooden plank. Lots of balconies everywhere. The common area is so nice and there’s loads of fridge space. Staff are super nice. Location is 10/10

The room was top. (4 bedroom). The bed was comfy. Renovations are ongoing. The staff were super nice, friendly and helpful.

The location was amazing, staff were so friendly and helpful! And the overall vibe with other guests was super chill and friendly.

The receptionist are so lovely, you can literally have a conversation with them about anything! They work so hard, and deserve the praise! everyone in this hostel is so nice and it’s such a sociable hostel. it feels like a family here, i never went to leave! everyone is so respectful of each other. I know that I will be coming back every time I’m at Coogee or even Sydney because I refuse to go to a different hostel.
