All the staff I've met is awesome, very welcoming and helpful! I was in a 4 beds room, which was very comfortable and clean. I appreciate the free parking , and bus stop just next door !

Lovely reception staff, clean facilities, several sunny rooftop areas, plenty of parking and gym! Really enjoyed my stay here, will be back again.

This was my second time staying at the Little Coogee Hotel and my first since they transitioned into a hybrid hostel—and I have to say, the change has only improved the experience. The place now has a great community vibe, perfect for meeting other travelers, while still offering the privacy and comfort of a hotel if that’s what you’re after. The staff are incredibly friendly and always willing to help, which made my 20-night stay even more enjoyable. Everything is kept clean and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The location is fantastic—close to everything you need—and the pricing is very competitive for what you get. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay here, and I’ll definitely be back again myself.

There’s really nothing to complain about, the hotel isn’t the height of luxury, I guess, but you wouldn’t expect that at their price point and in spite of the, standards are high, it’s kept clean and is well maintained by the dedicated staff.

Everything was perfect for me and my mate, up from Melb for a huge party at Bronte SLSC close by. Booking and check in process was flawless and after hours instructions clear. The twin room we had catered for all our needs in quiet, spotless comfort. We utilised the kitchen and ate out on the great deck in the sun. Met some equally happy and relaxed travellers. The location was perfect for beach access and the great Ocean walking path. Public transport also close and frequent. We secured our car (full of expensive band equipment) under the hotel in the garage. Peace of mind with that. A family run Thai takeaway across the road is a must visit. Most authentic lve had in Australia, and inexpensive. After getting home at 4am (quietly), we extended our stay to revive a bit more. I'll be returning with my wife to The Little Coogee Hotel.

Nothing to complain about.

Benita at the front desk is a warm, energetic girl, along with her friendly sidekick, Ramiro. You can feel her positive attitude toward life right from check-in. This hostel has bathrooms inside the rooms. Even though it’s an eight-person dorm, it’s divided into two separate rooms. Plus, the kitchen is being expanded. They also host occasional group dinners. Oh, and at least this month, there are loads of long-term British guests here. So, if you’re from the UK, you’ll probably enjoy the feeling of meeting compatriots abroad.

The main drawbacks seem to be in the kitchen: the toaster is always broken, there’s a lack of kitchen paper, and coffee is often unavailable.

I stayed in a 4-bed female dorm. The room was small but had an en-suite bathroom which was lovely. The bed was comfy and had a privacy curtain, power outlet and reading light. The AC in the room worked well! The hostel has 2 kitchens (level 1 & level 3) so if one was busy you could use the other. The hostel is 15 min walk to Clovelly Beach and 15 min walk to Coogee Beach. There is a bus stop right outside the hostel and heaps of cute cafes and restaurants within 3-5 min walk up or down the street! Perfect location! And the hostel was very clean - the dorm room and bathroom were cleaned twice each day.

The only negative is the wifi. My dorm was on the first floor and the wifi signal would drop sometimes, which was a bit annoying. But this is the only downside about this place, everything else is fantastic!

The staff was very friendly, and the location was fantastic. Just a 5 minute walk down to Clovelly or Gordon Bay, and a buss stop outside the front door. The room was clean and just about enough space to fit four people’s stuff. The beds were really nice and having a hanging around and a bit of privacy was really nice. Ended up staying 6 nights would likely have stayed longer if it didn’t get completely full. But could store my bag there for a couple nights while hiking in Blue Mountains.

The kitchen did end up a bit dirty a few nights, and staying here longer term would get expensive.

Probably the best hostel I have stayed in in Sydney so far. Staff were friendly, the hostel was spotless and the rooms actually felt homely and like somewhere you could stay an extended period of time if needed. The common areas and rooftops were lovely and the general atmosphere of the hostel was inviting and calm.

Housekeeping come to the rooms a little too early sometimes (around 7am which isn’t ideal when finishing work as late as midnight) laundry on site is great, but a bit annoying that you need specific coins for a wash and then different specific coins for a dry. But not a a major issue.

Practical hostel no frills type facilities with private en-suite rooms available for all age groups. Excellent value for money , very clean bedrooms, very comfortable beds, quiet at night..Ticked all the boxes for our stay, returning 3 times in between travelling elsewhere Good bus service 350 to Coogee , can walk in 15 mins max.. Friendly & helpful staff Convenience shop next door.
