We didn't just like staying here at the Mecure Brisbane Garden City.... WE LOVED IT! This is our second time staying at the Hotel and again we were treated with the upmost respect even when our wee children were loud. We did apologise for their noise. But everyone from the staff to the guests were ever so sweet. We couldn't hear the other guests, they never heard us so that was good. The food OMG the food looked ABSOLUTELY SCRUMPTIOUS it smelt amazing too. If it wasn't for all my allergies i would have taken our family to the resturant or even had it delivered to our room. I was very tempted this time to try the yummy food, but alas my body was already reacting from something else so although it was very tough i stayed strong and didn't give in to what i know would have tasted as amazing as it looks haha. All the Staff from the House keeping, Gardners, to the Chefs, and front desk and everyone of their team is honestly so kind, thoughtful, helpful, patient, and curtious. They Staff go above and beyond to help and make all their guests feel as part of their family. I know where we'll be going for our next Birthday holiday that will be the Mecure Brisbane Garden City Hotel. It's just a wee walk to the big westfield shop and they have a cinema at the shops not the hotel but that is walking distance to which is great. A bus stop is just outside the hotel pretty much. It's clean and smells so good. Thank you to all the Staff for all your hard work, appreciate all your hard work. We look forward to seeing you all again this year :)
There's nothing that we found we didn't like. We enjoyed ourselves and our kids loved it. They were super excited and when they saw where we were as soon as we turned up. They were beyonf excited and my now 2 year old rembered being their the first time so that was great. Would have been nice to stay longer but after all our shopping we would have no room in the car to take more stuff haha

The room and staff were great apart from the.breakfast which lacked most of the items as the jars and containers were empty and we had to request milk as an example. Ot's a clean nice friendly place and a transport hub for busses to go anywhere fairly quickly . The busway will get you to the city in 20 mins and is a. Short walk the busses work on time but you need a Go card to enter as there is no card or cash on entry. The hotel is located right next door to a high shopping centre that has all the shops, cinema and plenty of restraints I had a great stay here and recommend it.
Breakfast was poor in quantity and service

What a Fantastic stay. Right from the moment I checked in - electronically, I knew I had chosen well. Great location, well appointed rooms, room service breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a coffee bar - what more could you ask for? The meals were of a good size and selection. This was a definite plus due to my schedule. The staff were amazing and could not have been more helpful and friendly. I stayed for 6 nights and was so pleased with my choice - particularly as a Solo traveller. Highly recommend the Mecure Garden City, Brisbane.
No power points next to the bed.

Some reviews mentioned that rooms were dirty, but overall I thought it was exceptionally clean. Bed was comfy, the room was well laid out and spacious and it was quiet. Being able to take 50c bus straight into Southbank and the City was also great. And it’s a short car ride to Sunnybank. Fabulous location. We stayed for bridge to Brisbane and access to the busway made it super easy to attend. There was also a coin laundry that was great for washing after running! I’ll definitely stay again because the price is much more reasonable compared to other properties in tourist areas.
The bathroom was obviously old, but it was well maintained and very clean. The only thing I thought was dirty was the curtains, but we got a note the day of our checkout saying they were being replaced, so they are brand new now!

The French lady, I think she is the assistant manager, was absolutely amazing. I had some difficulty with the Asian lady (the manager) regarding charges however the assistant manager fixed everything and was a pleasure to deal with.
The website shows there is a pool available however there is not. I travelled with 3 of my children 12 and under and this was a let down for them. Perhaps the website needs to be updated.

The buffet breakfast was amazing and the staff at the front desk were also very nice and helpful.
The location was a bit difficult to find and the restaurant for dinner wasn't fantastic and not much choice for meals. The thing your suppose to hang on the door to get the room cleaned didn't sit right so you couldn't tell if we wanted to get our room cleaned or not. We asked in the morning to get our room cleaned but it never got cleaned so we had to ask for clean towels every night then had 3 days of dirty towels on the floor.

There was a hole where a light used to be in the ceiling above my head. A towel hook put on the door in the bathroom which was upside down. Towel just slid off. Could do with a couple of more towel hooks if possible. I notified the reception. Advised that the handyman Mr Phillips was away sick and he would attend to it when he came back within a day. Handyman was great. Had the two problems fixed in no time and a nice man.
The breakfast would have been ok had the coffee machine been working on the Monday we went for breakfast. Also we seemed to get the dregs of the food as there only seemed to be one chef on. She was as helpful as she could be with the machine but was also very busy with the kitchen. Paid $26 for a meagre meal.

Clean and comfortable. Walking distance to Westfield shopping centre (though opposite end to the food quarter). Front desk staff friendly on check in, and were happy to point out fire stairs when there was a long queue for the lift.
At breakfast there were no mugs or cutlery left, and nobody around to ask for more. Another guest and I looked in drawers and cupboards without any luck. Ended up finding some unused cutlery on one of the tables, and going without coffee. Only a minor annoyance, but something to keep in mind. Not everyone has breakfast at 6:30.

The very helpful staff, very courteous. The location is excellent, close to shops, freeway, transport. Breakfast, included in my rate, was very good and staff friendly. I was also surprised at how quiet it was considering the location making for a very restful stay.
Not hotel fault but arriving and, or, leaving at peak hour was a personal dislike.

The room was clean and comfortable. It was convenient for our needs - visiting family in the local suburb.
Whilst it was clean, the cleaners only changed the towels when cleaning the rooms - beds were not made and used cups were left lying around. When I asked the staff, they said that was normal and as we had a sink and tea/coffee facilities, it was up to us to wash our cups. Also, I sent a message several times to the hotel prior to arrival and was told they didn’t answer as I was going to be arriving in the next few days (!?).
