The staff had EXCEPTIONAL communication and our large room was SPOTLESS. We were going to arrive after midnight and they assured us that they could accommodate us even though reception would be closed. Sure enough, they emailed instructions in advance on how to get access to our room and all was exactly as promised. There was also a note attached to the key fob that helped us find the room, which was wonderful since we were so exhausted and had never been there before. Everything inside was clean and comfortable and in perfect working order. Juice, coffee, and muffins were offered in the pleasant office in the morning.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. It is a bargain motel, not a 5-star hotel chain, and it is clearly well managed, well maintained, and comfortable.

The location is excellent with a small group of shops and bus stops nearby. The king room we had was good and had a toaster, kettle & microwave. You could have muffins, coffee & tea for breakfast in the lounge area behind reception which is a great idea. There is a washing machine and dryer on the premises. Staff are excellent and always very helpful. Also a very good hotel just down the road - excellent meals.

The rooms need a bit of a refresh. They are looking a bit run down and some of the furniture needs updating.

The rooms were clean and functional. Having a small kitchenette was a bonus. Staff very nice and friendly. There's a small group of shops approx a block away which is very handy. 2 convenience type stores, supermarket, pizza etc. The bakery was very good. Walking distance to 2 bus stops - only a 5 minute bus ride into the CBD or a 10 minute walk. Excellent hotel across the road "Cock & Bull" - great meals. We found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Bonus of being able to have tea, coffee and juice each morning plus muffins etc in the guest lounge - free of charge. We would stay again.

Good value for a 2 bed unit and a reasonable price. The morning coffee and muffins were very nice to get. Great little BBQ and pool area as well. Walking distance to the heart of town.

Bit of an issue with the TV. The TCL only has 3 gig of internal memory. Which was full with the number of apps and stored cache. This meant the TV wouldn't work. Had to delete some apps and clear cache. The issue can be fixed by adding a usb or SD card to expand the TVs memory capacity. Cheap fix and worth doing to avoid complaints. The area of Sheridan Street is low affluent, and there was a large number of drug users. Be mindful of security and don't walk alone at night.

The staff were friendly and made my stay very comfortable. They made sure my needs were met. The cot looked very comfortable for my llittle one and I loved the little towel and soap that was added in her cot, made our stay extra special.

The noise from the other guests staying in the rooms next to us and the other rooms upstairs. As they were making a lot of noise coming and going. Also making noise shutting their room doors and talking very loudly as they pass my room. Also dragging their chairs so loud and it was after midnight when this happened. This caused us to not get any good sleep. The guests who had cars were also coming and going a lot at night and it made it hard for us to have a good night's sleep.

- drying rack in the room - free muffins and scones in the morning, free juice+coffee until around 8 pm - friendly, helpful staff - nice, cozy, spacious room - comfy bed, pillows - brand-new fridge - lots of brochures at the reception - coin-operated washing machine and dryer (4 dollars each) - you can get change at the reception - screen on the windows + seal under the door - bugs can't get in - nice common area - close to basic grocery stores, restaurants, bus stop

- don't disturb sign always falls off the door handle - Wifi signal was often weak - frying pan+microwave were in bad condition - noisy in the mornings (cars leaving, housekeepers working) - only problem if you want to sleep in (it's fine in the evenings) - you can't close the windows completely -A/C should be cleaned - it was a little smelly and dirty

This 3-star accommodation was tired but we thought the motel may have been undergoing renovations (unsure though). Changes of towels was easy if wet ones were left on the floor; we were provided with daily top-ups of team coffee etc. The location was on a good bus route and the Cock and Bull Irish pub was a very good bolt-hole after a day of excursions. There was daily surprise for guests of a free muffin and biscuit at reception.

One staff member in particular was quite off hand and non-friendly but the others ranged from friendly to extremely helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable and well supplied with coffee, tea etc. Air-conditioning worked ok. A nice touch was the guest lounge beside the office. it offered free tea, coffee, juice and scones during the morning. I should mention that I was running late for check-in due to missing a connecting flight and was worried they would be closed when I arrived. I rang and they advised if I was late they would leave the key in a lock box out the front of the office and text me the access code which was a relief. All in all I was very happy with the stay and will book again on my next trip to Cairns.

Nothing. Everything was fine and no complaints.

Very roomy and comfortable for a long stay (we were two adult work colleagues staying for 7 nights). Good kitchenette with all you need to prepare simple meals. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Parking is a bit tight for larger vehicles like our dual cab 4x4. Bathroom needed a good strip-down, clean and repaint to deal with long term mould build-up.

Location. Short drive from the Cairns airport and Cairns Central shopping Centre. Restaurants in walking distance. Enough room for us, 3 adults and 1 child to rest comfortably. The flowers to decorate the clean towels were pretty. I only had a chance to see staffs when we checked out, but she sounded really lovely. (My company checked in and they said the staffs were lovely too.)

I didn't like clean towels were on top of bed runners which was originally made for people to put dirty shoes and suitcases.
