Excellent customer service. The proprietor went above and beyond to make us feel welcome we had a small issue which was not down to them, this was overcome in a calm and profesional manner. All of his staff were friendly and were introduced with their first names. The apartment was relaxing and very comfortable, overlooking the pool also, which changes colour at nighttime, very pretty. Apartment had everything we needed for our stay. The photos are very accurate on booking.com. Close to the beach and promenade, town was also walkable as are the car hire companies. We were sorry to leave and wished we could have stayed longer. If ever we come back to Cairns we will definately stay again. Thanks for a lovely stay, achieved what we wanted which was a few days rest after a long flight and a road trip to follow.

I stayed here during my hospital treatment, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The location was incredibly convenient—just steps from the hospital—which made a stressful time much easier to manage. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, allowing an early check-in and assisting with parking without any fuss. They were warm, understanding, and genuinely caring, which made all the difference. The facilities were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I truly felt supported and looked after. Highly recommend to anyone needing accommodation near the hospital.

Our apartment was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view of the pool and surrounds from our balcony. We were pleased to be provided with extras such as cooking oil, a box of tissues, plenty of hangers etc. There was a bus stop virtually over the road, which meant that we could go to and from the city centre, lagoon, etc whenever we wanted to, and every bus trip cost 50 cents each and was often free. Another bonus was the comfortable beds.

Royce was very helpful and friendly. The apartment was well located for the city and within walking distance. The pool and BBQ area were nice for a dip. WiFi was good. Water temperature and pressure were great for the showers. Kitchen was well kitted out. Secure off-street parking was good and very handy as there was very limited street parking. Nice touch of some welcome chocolates and snacks! :-)

The apartment is not new, but we expected that and it was reflected in the price. But the furniture was all good and the beds were good too!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The rooms were spotless – you can tell cleanliness is a top priority. The staff were amazing, super friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The gardens are beautifully maintained and really add to the peaceful atmosphere. Really like the apartment with full fledged kitchen with all utensils, pots and pans, clean towel, laundry everything was there, felt like home, could eat out as well as cook. All rooms had aircon, which was so good. The most important things Jenny and Royce are really friendly and went out of their way to help us in everything about the area and attractions. It was our first time in Cairns and we are glad and lucky we stayed here.

Nothing to complain of.

Two bedroom apartment is air conditioned, clean and comfortable - white bed sheets, plenty of pillows and bath towels. Laundry facilities and generous kitchen area in the apartment, with a large fridge. Wi-Fi and latest technology for streaming to the TV plus in-room amenities make for a pleasant stay. Short walk to Cairns central cafes for coffee or breakfast, many restaurants and pubs for lunch and dinner are close by. Arrange a day trip to enjoy the many family friendly attractions around Cairns. Walk or ride along the foreshore Esplanade to the lagoon and marina. Across the road to medical and health facilities.

Nice big 2 bedroom apartment, a bit tired looking compared to the pictures, but perfectly adequate and good value for money, we were also allowed to check in early which was really helpful, lovely staff. I'd recommend reef gateway, to anyone looking for a reasonably priced 2 bedroom apartment with pool access.

We had a problem with noisy neighbors on the first night, but after mentioning it to the reception the following morning, we had no trouble afterwards.

Reef Gateway Apartment is always a home away from home for me and my family. The green environment, hospitality and location from the hospital has been very much appreciated by me and my family. My dad was medivac to Cairns hospital last September and after he got discharged from the hospital, my mum managed to find accommodation for them both at Reef Gateway, which was literally a minute away from the hospital and very conveniently located. Apartment 4 at Reef Gateway will always be special to my family, and it brings many emotional memories for me, having dad there after being discharged from the hospital. Royce and the team were fantastic in taking care of my parents and us, making sure we were comfortable and felt right at home. The extra little details and touch, such a providing Moccona coffee; medium roast blend, my mum's favorite coffee blend, and even adding a rice cooker. It's the little things that have the biggest impact and is felt and appreciated. Come January 2024, time for my dad's review and of course we booked for Apartment 4 at Reef Gateway. As always, Royce was ever welcoming, ever smiling, and always going out of his way to make us feel at home. Royce has become like family to us, him and the team are always greeting us with a smile to make us feel comfortable and attend to our requests. I liked that it is an apartment and has all amenities ( kitchen, laundry etc). It is well serviced and has very good wifi. I was able to have work meetings online. The bed was very comfy. Overall the apartment was clean and tidy.

I had the ground floor apartment. I noticed that the grill sliding door's lock was broken. I was not able to securely lock the outer door. As for the inner glass sliding door, it worked fine. I did report this to the team. Otherwise, I though it was a great place to stay. I travelled myself. Next time, I hope to bring my family there.
