Closeness to esplanade and town centre. Good outside pools bbq area. Safe car parking , lift to higher floors especially with suitcases. Good on site restaurant. Quiet and very clean. Fan option as well as air conditioning

A bit tired looking in places and the bathroom floor and shower floor extremely slippery even when small amount of water splashes on it. Non slip mat available for shower but quite small for the area. Signage warns but think better mats or bigger bath mats might help people be a bit safer transferring from shower to bathroom floor

Loved the spacious unit, the 2 swimming pools, the very helpful staff. Great value for money, buses into town very cheap and frequent, or you can walk. Good convenience stores just up the road.

No toaster in unit. Smelll in cupboard where dishes are stored. Saw mouse droppings there, which we reported to front desk.

Queenslander is a great local hotel, in a good location. It's a bit of a walk to the far southern side of the promenade, but I appreciated the walking. The staff was very friendly and helpful, showing me where to go for food and drinks. The rooms are HUGE and had comfortable beds. The hotel had cold A/C if desired, or you could open the windows. The street was quiet and low traffic. The hotel has BBQs and common areas to use. While I didn't use the pool, it looked nice and clean. The hotel has a restaurant attached for dinner. The breakfast is pretty basic, but there are a few cafes that are close. Overall wonderful stay!

Room and bathroom were spacious, neat and nicely presented without being overly cluttered with furniture, which is good from an accessibility perspective. It was great to have the car park so close to the room.

From a disability perspective, there were two things that weren’t ideal. Firstly, it was difficult to fill the electric jug or a water bottle at the bathroom sink without repeatedly having to refill a teacup as an aid or using the shower head which was a bit messy. Secondly, the tiles in the bathroom are not anti slip (R or P rating) which meant that they were slippery when wet and after/during showering there is a fair amount of water covering the floor because there is limited fall to the drain. Appreciated the squeegee to help alleviate the problem but the tiles are a slippery when wet.

We had a few teething issues with air con and tv, these were sorted out straight away. All staff we encountered were incredibly helpful and lovely. Quiet and family friendly.

Leaving a light on for a young child at night was problematic, could have done with a small lamp rather than wall or ceiling lights, but this is very picky and personal to us!

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The cleaning service was good. The location of the accommodation is handy to the centre of Cairns and in a quiet setting. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful at all times during our week-long stay.

Our only concern was the air conditioning unit in our room. It needed fixing as it turned on and off itself at odd times and was sometimes noisy . We reported this more than once but we had to resort to turning off the motor ourselves.

Well located, not far from the airport, near the boardwalk in a quiet area. 10 - 15 minute walk along the esplanade to restaurants and eateries. There’s a nice Thai restaurant next door. Very large room, with microwave,fridge, kettle and toaster. Very clean and modern bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows.

Not in the main area with restaurants with only some take away cafes 200m away. It’s a walk to other options which can be an issue if it’s too hot. Not a problem with a car.

I have travelled to Cairns many times over the years but never chosen to stay at the Cairns Queenslander Hotel & Apartments prior to my most recent trip. That said, I will most certainly be returning in the future though. Plentiful & secure on-site parking, easy check-in & out, a comfortable and spacious room, and the best little Thai restaurant on site make it an ideal location from which to plan a wonderful holiday experience. That the superb Guyala Cafe on the esplanade is only 2 blocks away simply adds to its attraction.

ROOM 106 - Drapes need fixing or replacing Multiple curtain rings broken and can’t be closed properly - privacy being on ground floor. Taps at kitchen sink and vanity sink stiff to operate. Mosquito screens on glass doors and windows would be good. Noise from laundry opposite intrusive. Cigarette smoke from adjacent patios penetrate into room when sliding doors open- maybe at booking time allowance could be made to keep smokers away from nonsmoking guests rooms.

Clean, airy and friendly staff

AC in both rooms were very noisy. Mirror in the bathroom is very low, can’t see your face and upper body but just the lower body. Garden looked depressed, not very good outlook. And the gate needs to be converted to remote controlled. Just so annoying you get in the car, drive to the gate and get out and manually operate it, when especially you’re on your own, if you have an offsider it would be easier and vice versa driving in from outside
