Had everything needed for an overnight stay. Friendly staff. Plenty of room in the standard room and a very comfy king size bed. Had dinner at onsite restaurant (delicious). Travelled with my parents who needed an accessible room, and they were well catered for in this regard - accessible site (including restaurant) and they had a large room with a kitchenette included and a huge bathroom with accessible shower allowing wheelchair access.

Purchased continental breakfast buffet - vegan options would have been nice, so a little pricey for the limited choice available for me.

Conveniently located. The staff was fantastic. I had several issues, such as forgetting an adapter, needing advice for random things, and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, helping me any way they could.

I stayed in room 109. It could be a bit loud and sometimes things (I don’t know what) would bang against the back door which was a little unnerving. Also that step down from the bathroom was a bit precarious in the dark so maybe a lamp on the nightstand would help. Nothing big. Overall I was happy with what I got.

Space was fine and value for money. Bonus 2 bathrooms for 5 adults.

Unfortunately we were taken to the wrong room at first which didn't have any milk in the fridge, but thankfully they were able to find the room we were meant to get so we were moved relatively quickly however again there was no milk in the fridge so thankfully I had requested before I went into the room and even though I asked her to check, she did not, and insisted that there would be but there wasn't. also a few of the coffee sachets must have been out of date as they were disgusting but I rummage through to the bottom and a couple of them felt fresher and tasted better. These small gestures are still important especially given we had travelled 5 hours to get there and first thing we wanted was to sit down and have a coffee. No sufficient parking for the number of rooms available.

The staff was fantastic and helpful with a number of issues. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fantastic (crocodile skewers were AMAZING) and it was nice and quiet.

The only complaint I had was during one of my stays one of the rooms had slatted blinds in the bathroom but no window that actually closed. That allowed some bugs to get in. Thankfully nothing monstrous dragged me away in the middle of the night.

Hotel was happy for us to drop off luggage early. They said our room was ready then which was great. I had a fractured foot and asked for twin beds. Was given a ground floor unit 1st but was made up as a double and needed twin beds as was travelling with 20 year old son. So she said there were no other rooms and put us on 1st floor with a fractured foot when they had 3 hours time before our actual check in time to undo the double and make two twins out of them. Was just a bit dangerous managing stairs and luggage with a fracture but did it Was just a bit disappointing and inconvenient. Otherwise all good nice feel and restaurant food was lovely.

Fantastic location within walking distance to the bars and restaurants on the esplanade without being right on top of it. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help us out. Accommodation was comfortable and clean, perfect for an affordable family vacation. The set up of our two bedroom apartment was ideal with the rooms being separated by the two bathrooms and laundry. The Bay Leaf restaurant was wonderful. Staff were friendly and the food delicious.

Some maintenance required on the apartments. New shower heads perhaps and a bit of a revamp to make it a little more modern but otherwise very comfortable and good value for money.

Closeness to Cairns Base Hospital Safety at night Restaurant on site

As a solo traveler how dark the room was immediately you took the key out at night when you left and also when returning to find where to put the key in so you could have light. If the person in the room next door shut the shared outside door you could see nothing at all. Not even where the light switch was.

The location opposite the hospital was excellent. Easy walk to the Esplanade and into town. Nice pool and great restaurant.

I'd stayed a few times before as I had a daughter in Cairns hospital. When I booked through booking com this time I asked for ground floor and early check-in which the hotel kindly agreed to so I went ahead with the booking. My daughter was quite sick so I wanted to have somewhere to take her after the doctors discharged her at 11am. When we turned up the early check-in was not available and the unit was on the second floor. She couldn't go up the stairs. It was a bit of a cluster cuss and they obviously hadn't read the booking properly. I'd advise anyone booking with family members at the hospital and similar circumstances to phone them directly and check they've read the booking requests properly. If I had known the unit couldn't be ready at discharge I'd have booked somewhere else.

Very clean. Comfy beds. Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Absolutely loved the breakfast. Can't beat traditional nasi goreng! Better than great value for the price. We only stayed one night for a flight stop over but I could have stayed longer here. Short stroll to city centre.

The yelling at night although it didn't come from within the hotel. Found out it's something Cairns is known for no matter where you stay unfortunately.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and we were very impressed with how clean it was.

The room was definitely showing its age. Everything was clean and well cared for but the kitchen cupboards were dated and the air conditioners in each room were very noisy. We were all very comfortable although we found the pillows to be rather hard and flat.
