Location was amazing - best thing about the resort - fantastic views and 5 min walk to the famous beautiful Northerlies restaurant (great food, music and atmosphere) beautiful deck area, warm pool, lovely design with boats Great courtesy bus into town thanks to the restaurant Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere, beautiful sunsets and moon over the bay - felt like you were away from it all Very helpful and efficient manager but otherwise average staff Breakfast was good - toast, cereal, yoghurt, pastries, fresh fruit - Nespresso machine for coffee not great No bar or food throughout the day

Expensive for what it was - not a full resort, just luxury accommodation and no full breakfast - not even complimentary water bottles or a welcome bottle of wine! Paper thin walls for the rooms near reception, you could hear every word - boat rooms would be better Had to request for bathrooms to be cleaned Lots of bugs Quite far from town - 15-20 min drive

Grounds were immaculate. Rooms were exceptionally clean and freshly scented with eucalyptus (Not at all stuffy like many places I have stayed) Bed very comfortable. Tiny accommodation but fine for 2 people for a short visit. Thoughtful touches with umbrellas available in every room and at reception and insect repellent in the rooms as well (there are mangroves nearby so there could be sandflies and mosquitoes at times). The continental breakfast offered an array of delicious options that really exceeded my expectations. We will definitely stay here again.

Not a dislike, but the access to the boat cabins is only via stairs, so this needs to be made clear in the promotional materials for anyone with mobility issues.

We stayed on a boat apartment which we loved! So unique, and even better than expected! It was roomy, well laid out, nautically designed and decorated, good kitchenette with a beautiful tea pot and matching cups. Lots of mini bar options too. Great front deck balcony which we had breakfast on - just collect all your breakfast on a tray and take down to boat. The view is brilliant, a little beach, gardens, wildlife, nice pool, separate parking area so it’s so quiet and peaceful here. Fun investigating the area and you can walk over to their large restaurant on a beautiful beach and choose lots of yummy food - it was delicious and well priced. Try their cocktails on the beach.

I honestly can’t find anything wrong with our stay here, if I was being picky I’d say a small sink in kitchenette would be useful to fill the kettle as bathroom sink is a bit too small to do this efficiently - but I’d easily stay here again and again.

The view from the swimming pool was absolutely stunning and we appreciated the tropical garden. We also enjoyed the view from our room; while the sea wasn’t fully visible, the bushland scenery was lovely. The breakfast was delightful, and the staff were friendly. The room was charming. The restaurant next to the hotel was incredible, both for its food and its view. We’ll definitely be back!

Nothing to complain about. However, a 'coat rack' or something to dry our pool towels and swimwear (either inside or outside) would be greatly appreciated.

I found this property very unique with the boat as a stay. The area was so quiet, restaurant was close with a great view and the pool had a nice view. ( great that the pool is open 24/7)

I did find the pool a bit too warm. Wasnt able to cool down but other then that there are no faults to this stay

Gorgeous and unique accommodation. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely setting. Good breakfast and mini-bar selection. Very relaxing. The rooms/cabins have all the modern facilities, including mini-fridge, kettle plus tea & coffee, A/C, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, pool towels, etc and feel very comfortable and the design is well-thought out. They even provide bug spray in each room.

The property is quite off the beaten track, not near to any shops and cannot be accessed by public transport. You need a car, or a reliable taxi service. 123Cabs can take some time to arrive/confirm - luckily reception will happily help you book one, but this cannot be done in advance. No fault of the property but there were lots of horseflies in the reception/breakfast area which made it hard to fully enjoy breakfast.

Stunning surrounds and incredible views. This place truly is like a resort you could find on any tropical island! Our room felt very private and the bed was one of the best I've ever slept in. Continental breakfast by the pool each morning was wonderful and the short walk to amazing food at Northerlies was super convenient. While we didn't use it, the offer of a free shuttle into town was also a great option.

Nothing! The only improvement I could offer would be to somehow incorporate room service from Northerlies to the hotel. Currently you are able to call and order but still need to pick up your food and while it's not a far walk, a full room service menu would add to the feeling of luxury.

Excellent location, atmosphere and service. Breakfast was lovely. View was 10 out of 10. Would definitely come back. Heated pool was great. Only a small resort, so you’re not crowded with people which was awesome.

Bed was a little harder than I am used to, but then I like a soft bed. Never going to be able to please everybody with the bed, some like soft, some like hard, they settled on a medium which is best anyone can do in the circumstance.

The location is nice and quiet — they even provide a free bus service that is quite convenient. We only had to take a taxi once and it was because we needed to leave for a snorkelling adventure at 7:00am, so the bus wasn’t operating yet. The staff was also really kind and helpful! Lastly, the on-site restaurant, Northerlies, is really good! I would recommend the octopus salad and the chicken sandwich.

There were a couple of very minor things in the room that could have been updated (shower door handle, bathroom garbage).

Truly unique accommodation, I can only recommend the boat-shaped rooms, very cosy and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also great (fresh fruit and juice, nice coffee, pastries, etc.), especially with the stunning view of Airlie Beach and the sea. As already mentioned, the location is a bit out of town, and the shuttle bus only starts from 11am, so a car or using the 13cabs app is probably the best when going on tour in the morning. Booking the shuttle bus from the city was very easy via the Northerlies website, I usually booked the bus in advance from a close by city hotel location.

All good, but I would recommend getting some groceries beforehand or planning to dine out in town, as the food at the close by Northerlies restaurant is ok but not outstanding and there is nothing else to dine at.
