We had a budget room, with two double beds. This was one of the biggest roomiest rooms we have EVER had in a hotel/ motel. Plenty of floor space for suitcases so no obstacle course to the bathroom. Big shower , and although the rooms are a bit tired and aging the bed is very comfy and clean. Kitchenette was supplied with crockery , tea making etc and a microwave. Seating and table outside gave extra space. Whilst this hotel was a fair bit away from Airlie Beach there is a bus stop outside and buses cost 50c each way. Only needed to pay for taxi when leaving. Hotel shuttle bus runs afternoon to evening. Good staff, good food, big portions , big rooms.

This was further out from Airlie than we thought when booking. If you have your own transport, it’s a good choice. If you are happy to use the bus, good choice.

Very spacious and nice location. The bus is right next to the hotel and is easy to manage. Staff was also super kind to help us with the washer.

The toilet couldn’t flush properly. Also the shower was constantly dripping… there were also a huge gab under the doors, so insects could crawl in. But we used towels to stuff under the door, that worked and the staff let us get extra towels. Also neighbours were speaking on the phone at 12am.. for a really long time. They were on the balcony, so we could hear them loud and clear.

Good and reasonably priced food at the attached restaurant. Rug is in bad shape in places but the room is very clean and big too. There's a microwave and a toaster. We arrived in late afternoon. The office was closed so we checked in inside the restaurant which was no problem. Location is easy to find. It is a perfectly good place to stay for a day or two. I checkout late because I had the departing date mixed up and the staff were very understanding. I was very thankful of that.

Our window to the outside is floor to ceiling and took up most of one wall. But it is right next to an outside walkway that connects the other rooms. If we open the roller shade to let the day light in, the room would be on full display.

Free washing machine use, $4 tumble dryer, quiet, spacious room with air conditioning, microwave, mini fridge, crockery and cutlery. Walkable distance to Woolworths grocery shop.

No free airport shuttle, but easily bookable at airport as per hotel recommendation. Would be more convenient if free bus to Airlie Beach ran more frequently as on weekdays only runs from 4pm onwards, but there is a public bus right outside 50 cents per trip.

Large room with two large double beds, clean and probably recently renovated. Comfortable bed, quiet, parking outside room. A great overnight stop with a good meal in the pub. The bathroom shows its age, but it was quite clean and a good size. Cutlery and crockery and a kettle used for breakfast.

No toaster, which, if included, provided all the necessary items for a simple breakfast.

Big spacious rooms with two queen beds. The shower heat and water pressure was amazing! Very convenient to the beer garden and bar. Undercover parking. Courtesy bus transport was fantastic, bus driver was super friendly. Price was unbeatable!

No pool, but that's ok. It is a bit out of town, but we took advantage of courtesy buses and Ubers.

retro older style room (I wanted to take the dining chairs home) clean and comfortable unbelievable shower pressure, the best I've ever seen! easy fast check in and out just enough out of town to avoid hustle and bustle room is larger than average and has front and back access

don't bother going to the adjoining hotel for dinner, the pizza was like a cardboard cutout

I recently stayed at REEF GATEWAY HOTEL and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The cleanliness of the hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was spotless, and the common areas were well-maintained. The value for money was exceptional. I felt like I got more than what I paid for. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay.

Really large room with two beds and a small balcony. Bathroom was okay. Kitchenette facilities were excellent and lots of counter space to make it easy to prepare food. Lots of storage space as well for belongings. Next door to the hotel, a short drive to Cannonvale shops, Cannonvale Beach and Airlie Beach.

Entry to motel was a bit confusing as we went into the hotel instead.

Had a bar and bistro, rooms were very spacious, bus stop was right outside the hotel to take you into town which took about 10 mins! It was also my boyfriends birthday and the staff were so nice and left balloons and a card out for him upon request
