Right from the beginning of the booking process, the Breakfree staff were fabulous. They were polite, respectful and very patient. We had a sporting group who booked and changed bookings on a number of occasions, and this was handled with total professionalism. Check in for the large group, all at different times, was seamless and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we could be placed as close together in rooms as possible. The rooms were a little small but they were clean and well maintained. We were able to obtain fresh towels and supplies when they were required. Having the washing machine and dryer was a bonus. The location was also quite good.

Rooms are a little small

Close proximity to Adelaide CBD, cleanliness, 24-hour reception, onsite parking and bed was surprisingly very comfortable, mattress still in very good condition and not worn out at all. Also bedlinen felt fresh and comfortable.

The building itself is nice, interesting architecture with balconies, but the interiors are very outdated. Curtains didn't look very clean and desperately needed a wash. Carpet and furniture were also quite old. It could be done up really nicely, but having said that it was a good budget friendly accommodation. The photos on Booking website are much nicer then the reality.

Friendly staff

The hotel did not have sufficient emphasis on maintaining a globally safe environment. One day I hung out the sign Do not disturb and sheets and towels were changed unnecessarily. I needed to go to Reception and provide an override order because on my booking it said that these needed to be changed everyday, which of course is completely wasteful. Your company could save money and environmental costs by providing much better communication around this issue. I did want them changed after one week and was happy that they were very clean.

The apartments had everything we needed for our trip. There was a basic kitchen which was fine for our breakfast needs. Rooms were a good size with plenty of pillows and extra bedding. Shower pressure was great. Aircon was available in the lounge and in one of the bedrooms. Access to the University gym next door was really handy.

Our apartment was on the back of the block, there was a lot of noise from the street during the night from people revving their cars and shouting. The area behind the apartments did not feel safe to walk in so we just stuck to Hindley St and around the University.

Lovely place in an excellent location, situated amongst the University of Adelaide buildings. About two blocks from the tram line and walking distance to downtown Adelaide. Some friends cautioned us against Hindley St at night but we had absolutely no problems at all. The corridors are all outdoors around courtyards, which gives it a beautiful feel. We had a (small) kitchen, and washer and dryer in our room, which was very handy.

My only real complaint was lack of power points. There is one in each room and two (doubles) in the kitchen. We unplugged the microwave to charge our phones. Minor issues: the room was small, everything is quite dated, and you'd never confuse it for a four-star hotel.

staff very friendly and accommodating, family room was extremely spacious, perfectly clean and quiet. 450m easy walk to/from bus or tram along North Terrace to/from railway station, botanic gardens. Easy flat walk to/from Rundle Mall (approx 900m). Easy walk to/from Central Markets (approx 1km). Good cafes, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Taxi to airport was easily arranged with Reception. Our 2nd family stay at this property.

Apartments are very clean, staff of reception and cleaners were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The location is good, close to uni and many places to eat nearby.

One apartment was positioned outside the court, the main road is very noisy, were not able to use balcony. Second apartment was positioned inside the court, but was very close to elevator, were not able to open the windows during the night due to noise.

The location is excellent, making it convenient for exploring the area. The staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant stay. Additionally, the room was spotless and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable experience.

I didn’t like that the street is quite noisy and has many bars (active nightlife), which might be a problem for those who are more sensitive to noise while sleeping. You have to keep the window closed to block a bit the noise.

Mostly, everything was great

I turn off the A/c before going out, once I return the place smelt terribly. When there, A/c running for 30 mins and back door open would solve the problem. 2.Water tastes terrible, a water bottle machine would be fantastic please, I had to walk 3 blocks for a convenience store - it was very hot weather .im in my late 60's....

I love BReakfree and always stay here when in Adelaide. It is budget accommodation and the rooms are a little dated however it has everything I need and good value for money. There is street parking for visitors and a great little cafe across the road.

The closest supermarket is abotu a 15 minute walk and the rooms could use a little update but there is street parking available for visitors
