We loved our stay at The Palms Apartments! We were in Adelaide as one of our little dogs needed surgery at the SASH Vet Hospital in Kent Town. This accommodation is pet friendly and only a 3 minute walk to SASH! You pay an extra pet cleaning fee depending on the length of your stay; but, it was a VERY reasonable amount! We brought along pee pads for our dogs as they are well trained in using them. It didn't feel like a hassle to take them out for a walk around the neighbourhood to do their business and there's a bin with a poo bag dispenser around the corner on College Road. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room in our apartment. The shower is a step in bath/shower so I do wish there was a rail fitted to make it easier to get in and out; though it didn't feel slippery at all. Our room was clean and quiet. It was fitted with a microwave, dishwasher, oven and stove top. It also has a washing machine with dryers down in the garage to use. It's an easy walk to the park lands to walk the dogs and the city is so close! Lots of wonderful cafes nearby (Henry's has great coffee and 78 on Rundle has the best breakfast!) and parking is available onsite for a nightly fee. The staff were just lovely. Every person we spoke to was friendly, helpful and professional. If you are travelling with pets and want to be close to the city, this is the place to stay!!

Would have loved if the step in bath/shower would have had a hand rail to make you feel more secure getting out.

Spacious apartment with good facilities especially in the kitchen. Very helpful to have luggage trolleys and a roomy lift. Everything was clean, there were plenty of cleaning materials in the apartment. Comfortable bed and living space.

The bathroom was dated, with the shower in the bath tub, leaked water on the floor (risk of slipping) and hard for elderly people to get in and out. Secure parking was an extra charge of $20 per day, would be more reasonable to be included in the booking fee.

The room was great, well appointed, clean and comfortable. The location is excellent - just outside of the city, but with bars and pubs around (with more opening each time I stay), so that you can get everything you need without getting stuck in the traffic of the city.

It was unseasonably warm for May and I wanted to cool down the bedroom for sleep. The aircon in this particular apartment was in the lounge, and in an alcove, so that it pointed at an opposite wall. This blocked the cool air getting into the bedroom, so I had a hot sleep. There was a fan in the room which helped, and I've stayed in other rooms where this configuration was not the case.

Apartment was very clean, the space i was allocated had a shower over the bath. Apartment was very spacious and comfortable, lounge room had a balcony but sadly, no view from my apartment. Staff are friendly and hospitable, location is very good - it is close proximity (10-15mins walk) to Adelaide CBD and parklands are really close by. Good options for eating out with restaurant next door and pub around the corner. Sadly it wasn't as close to a supermarket as I thought and a good walk away (which I didn't have time for). OTR convenience store is really close by but selection isn't great and prices are a bit steep. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily stay again.

An option for an extra blanket or throw for the bed would have been good as I found the duvet didn't quite keep me warm enough.

Clean, comfortable, good facilities and good location. Can walk to cafes. There is a fantastic Italian restaurant basically next door and a lovely pub around the corner. Also only a short cab/Uber ride to the city and good shopping and other eating venues. All of the staff members that I dealt with were extremely helpful and friendly. I also found the room to be very quiet from other room noise and street noise.

The one very minor and trivial thing was no tissues in the room.

Bathroom- the shower over the bathtub was dangerous. Difficult to get in and out due to bath height. Floor became very wet and slippery as the glass screen didn’t stop water splashing on the floor. Needed extra towels to mop floor.. Definitely not suitable for older people or those with hip or knee problems ( husband struggled to climb in and out and very worried about slipping due to knee issues) A shame though as the bathroom is huge with ample room for a separate shower.

The apartment was very spacious and clean. The location was great with cafes and a pub close by if you didn’t want to drive. It’s also an easy walk to the Botanic Gardens and a walkable distance to Rundle Mall. An onsite undercover carpark was available for an extra fee. Staff were helpful whenever we had a problem.

For such a spacious bathroom there was a lack of towel rails or hooks. It would be useful to have an instruction manual/information sheet about how to operate the oven. Even the staff member had to make a phone call for advice on how to turn on the oven. A choice of pillows would be good especially when it’s a week’s stay. I needed a lower pillow and was given a small lounge cushion to use.

Nice oven and kitchen area. Comfy beds.

The washing machine/dryer didn't dry our clothes which left us with 2 bags of wet clothes in the morning. Having to drive to the nearest coin laundry set us back $5 in parking and $8 in dryer costs. Not to forget the time that we wasted. When mentioning it to the reception staff he kind of grinned (like he knew?) and told us that there would be additional dryers in the parking lot (which we didn't use because it was fully booked). Why not letting us know at check in? I had to google the washing machine/dryer manual since there were no infos in the room.

Adelaide is a very attractive, multi-cultural city offering visitors lots to see and do. The Palms is modern, well-appointed and professionally run, with good friendly staff. Our apartment was large, bright and clean; very comfortable indeed. The Palms is a little way from the CBD but that suited us as it's easy to access by car/Uber and is relatively quiet. Even on the weekend of the Adelaide 500, held within very close proximity, noise levels are not an issue. Some good eateries in the near vicinity.

On arrival at the Palms Apartments, we intended to leave our bags behind the counter, and head off to our event, as it was only 11am, but we were able to check in early. Apartment had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and was set up to our requested bedding configuration of 4 single beds. Apartment seemed recently renovated, and was very clean, modern and comfortable. Everything we needed in there to cook breakfast each morning, which was great. Wifi worked well, as did smart tv, air con etc. No issues at all. Staff were obliging and friendly. Great value for money.

Our apartment looked straight out to another building, with no views at all. The location was 2km from our event, but wasn't in a very "walkable" location, with busy roads with no pedestrian crossings. However ubers were readily available at all times to drive us to and from the event. I was charged a $6 eftpos fee when paying, which seemed a bit steep.
