I thought the room was great value for money. I only need a place for a quick stop over to break up a long journey, and it had a nice hot shower (good pressure). The room and bathroom was dated but very clean and the bed was comfortable. Exceeded my expectations considering the low rate. I will stay there again due to the quality and pricing. I also felt safe as a single female traveller, with appropriate locks on doors internally and good curtain coverage. Good communication as I arrived after hours and left early.

For an older style motel, Tanjil is great. We booked two rooms, both of which were clean and fresh on arrival. Modern shower with good strong water pressure. Comfy pillows. Great value for money. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We'll happily stay again if we are passing through.

Mattresses were extra firm, but that's a preference thing. Other patrons seemed quite inconsiderate. One lot having a lengthy conversation on 'speaker phone'at 9pm, another on the verandah at 3am chatting as cigarette smoke wafted under doors and seeped through windows. Very unpleasant.

All was great and pretty much suited our needs. I was travelling with my daughter so stayed at Tanjil as a stopover to Melbourne. Unit had everything we needed except we could have done with two bread plates! Not the end of the world at all, just seeing as you're asking! I'm sure if we'd gone to reception and asked, they would have obliged, I was just a bit keen to get on with what I was doing so didn't worry about it. Service very friendly, even though we interrupted their dinner :)

Late check in was easy to organise. The room was clean and tidy with the heater already running when I arrived, which was great on a cold evening. The TV system ran through foxtel but clear simple to follow instructions were provided making it easy to use and navigate. The bed was super comfortable (firm) and the ensuite shower pressure good.

Car park was angle parking in front of the room and a little tight for my vehicle.

The location was not far from the city. I walked from Bairnsdale Station, and it took about 20 minutes. The room was a good size, clean and cosy. There was a small kitchen area and privare bathroom/toilet. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I would have liked a bar to grip in the shower, as the tiled floor was a bit slippery. Also there is no cafe close by for dinner or breakfast. This would not be a problem for anyone arriving by car, as the drive to the shops is about 3 minutes .

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The spa was lovely and could watch a movie while in the spa. The bathroom was clean, had a heated towel rack which was nice to have warm towels after the spa and ample towels. Plenty of coffee , sugar, hot chocolate, cookies and 2 small milks . Toaster, kettle and microwave, ironing board, cleaning equipment all provided. First time meeting the owners, very nice people. I always enjoy my stay at tanjil

It was nice and quiet. The shower had really great pressure, and it was easy to adjust. The unit was very clean. We could park outside our unit. It was only a 10 minute walk to the shopping centre. The unit was excellent value for money. This is our second visit, and we would be extremely glad to recommend this motel.

We would have liked to have a smile and a welcome wish on our arrival. Maybe staff were tired and had a bad day.

My day started badly when I arrived at Brisbane to find my 6 am. flight to Melbourne had been cancelled due to staff sickness. I could get there at the earliest 6 hours late so after a few calls with a car & phoning the Motel Manager here he arranged to put my room charge thru' & leave my key in an arranged place & I could arrive any time. This worked out well. The room & bed were nice & right till leaving the next morning, the experience went well.

The fact that this trip had to start off on the wrong footing, losing 6 hours of missing out on going to places I eventually did not see, was maddening, but I stuck to missing out on that time & got thru' the rest of my trip, going & enjoying them as planned,

No breakfast offered! Good size room. Well kept. Near centre of town but quiet area. Facilities were good & very clean

Not much staff around & no maintenance unless asked for night before by 7pm. Narrow parking & can’t exit onto entrance on main road. Have to exit onto back street. Easily missed sign needs to be updated as seems faded until close up.

Quiet, cleanliness, had everything I needed. Friendly staff.

Upon arrival no one was there but at least a sign saying we will be back shortly (about a 15-minute wait but got there eventually). Later on, a bit of a wait in the driveway (second time on returning from going out) when someone checked in (blocked the entrance) and could have moved his car to let others in. Plenty of room to put your car to the side instead of thinking about yourself only. (No fault of the owners).
