The cabin is beautiful - comfortable, spacious, modern and with lovely facilities. We loved the decking area with chairs at the front and the view from there towards the You Yangs Park. It is in a quiet location but close to the main road and only 5 minutes drive to the town and all amenities there. Our host, Dean, met us, lives close by and was available if we needed anything.

Nothing to complain about. There was not much cutlery but that didn't matter to us as we had our own with us. The only slight problem was that the second patio door (by the bed) did not open properly and needs fixing - which would have been nice to have ventilation at night.

The location was perfect as we were wanting to be close to the You Yangs National Park. It was also quiet, and 3mins from Lara for supermarket/food etc. The bathroom was lovely, great big bath and large separate shower. We enjoyed a movie on Netflix, and the aircon worked well (it was a really hot day). It was a relaxing quiet place to stay.

The sheets were clean but they were so crinkly I was worried that they weren't clean. The bed and couch were a bit tired and again didn't feel as clean as they should be. Everything else was very clean though.

When I couldn't work out how to unlock the cabin, Dean was over in a minute to help. The size, feel, cleanliness, location, comfy bed, lovely bathroom, gorgeous huge tv, in no particular order were all terrific. Only took me 5 minutes to drive into town to pick up something to eat. Slept like the proverbial log. Planning to stay again.

Great rural setting within 5 minutes of Lara. Woke up to sunrise through the gums to the warbling of magpies! Units staggered to ensure privacy, yet close enough to chat with your neighbours. Facilities modern, clean and comfortable. Big screen tv a bonus! Spacious rooms. Short drive to Geelong and surrounds. A fabulous place to stay.

A beautifully quiet location that was minutes for the Lara center and 30mins from Geelong waterfront. Our daughter loved watching the horses roam around and when we woke in the morning there was a horse at our door! I lovely place to stay that we have shared with our family to use when the come to visit in Lara.

The queen bed in house 4 needs some attention. It is sagging in the middle and is VERY squeaky!

Always enjoy staying here when the You Yangs Trail Festival is on, Dean is exceptionally good for these properties as well and he still remembers me after all these years that I've been going there, even if it's only once or twice a year.

The bed wasn't the greatest in the Study we found on the first night but that could come down to the nerves of what was happening over the weekend. We ended up using the pull out sofa bed and apart from my heavy weight nearly tipping it over from a balancing perspective it was exceptionally comfortable to sleep in.

A great location close to Melbourne airport at the end of our holiday. Accommodation was clean, great to be out of town with lovely rural views. Check in was easy and communication prior to our stay was good. A large modern cabin, warm and comfortable. I recommend it.

There was nothing to dislike.

Everything inside the lodge, very spacious and clean. Great location, which is pretty quiet and isolated. Close to some great locations.

Outside of overall premises could be presented better (improved over time) seeing the shipping container and workshop area? ( not sure what it was) makes it look unappealing when entering. (this changed though when entering the lodge).

Well appointed and comfortable enough to feel like you could sit freely on the furniture. Happy to be able to cook after a late arrival from catching up with some friends.

Outside “camp” style chairs were deteriorated though we were happy enough to sit on the step.

Beautiful outdoor decking area. Late checkout very appreciated.

Some decent chairs on the deck so you can sit out and enjoy it would be very welcome. And a bottle opener 😆
