We love this hotel! Where do I start … 1. it is in the best location 2. it is clean, comfortable and luxurious 3. The staff are so helpful and friendly, they truely make your experience amazing as their level of service and professionalism is top notch 4. The facilities they offer such as the buffet breakfast, the club lounge, even the lobby are high quality. This trip was to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and we had an unreal trip we will never forget, the staff brought us cake and a bottle a wine on check in, gave us a late check out, let me have a guest in the club lounge for free and fixed a maintenance issue in our room within the hour. We are return customers and will stay here every time we return to Melbourne. You will not regret staying here.

Couldn’t fault a thing. Obviously it’s a more expensive hotel so it does hurt the budget but it’s absolutely worth every penny.

I thought is was a bit miserable that they didn't replenish the teabags when the room was refreshed. The $6 surcharge for room service also seemed a bit mean as the items on the in-room dining are already pretty aggressive. We had a negative experience in the cocktail bar. The Maître D' was very demanding as to how many people were turning up (4 or 6), which we did not know. Given the place was half empty it seemed somewhat unnecessary.

Long deep bathtub, great location, professional staff, comfortable bed, great in-room breakfast menu.

I would definitely stay again (even if just for the beautiful bath) but not in the standard king room. Instead, I’d invest to pay for a room for a view. Even though I was on the 28th floor in a standard king room and could see the river from the corner of my window, the main outlook was across to people working at their desks in an office block. Rather than feeling like I was in a goldfish bowl myself, I drew down the day shade for privacy. This worked but also blocked out all of the natural light.

We had such a lovely stay. My daughter celebrated her Deb and she and I stayed the night. A couple of small things, - I asked for a higher floor with a view because of the special occasion. Unfortunately we got the 15th floor looking out over nothing, I know it wasn’t fully booked bc we had friends who got upgraded - there was no hand soap in the bathroom which meant we had to open the shower and use the body shampoo every time - I was suprised with 1 ply toilet paper in a lovelu hotel - the bed moved across the floor - no brakes which was a little dangerous for my midnight toiletting - yikes 🤣 Despite this, we had a lovely stay! A memory always. Thank you! Ps/ the buffet brekki was amazing!!!

Beautiful room and ensuite. Lovely views. Comfortable with everything supplied. Great curtains for darkness. Perfect temperature in room. Lovely furniture. Staff were excellent. Food was okay but expensive.

Very very very noisy. Loud shower/running water noises, banging doors all day and night. Not the place to stay if you want to actually sleep during the night. Bathroom and room lighting is terrible if you want to apply makeup. Even brought my own makeup mirror but couldn't find a place to sit where I could get good lighting in the ensuite or the room. Very uninviting, cold and draughty reception area. If you park underneath, beware as you enter the carpark from Flinders Lane and turn left - the side of our Kluger scraped along the wall on the left because the space is so tight. And by the look of the marks on the wall we weren't the only ones.

My corner room had a great view of the Yarra River & the city. The spa tub in the room was wonderful, especially with the balms included. The cleaning staff did a great job & responded to my requests for extra bath towels (big deal when you're the traveler}. The breakfast was fabulous & exceeded any daily breakfast program I've experienced at a hotel. The food selection was huge and many items prepared upon request. The dining staff was excellent & sufficiently staffed. In my travels since Covid, staffing (quality & quantity) seems to be an issue. During my 4-night stay, I had a great time and the location is great. You're surrounded by high-end stores & shops, 2-3 blocks from Chinatown, theatres, museums, the city tram.

The hotel is beautiful and in a fantastic location - walking distance to most things. Hotel staff were very courteous and the buffet breakfast was excellent.

The sound proofing between rooms is not great. We could hear the people in the room above us talking, walking around their room, playing music and even moving the coat hangers in their wardrobe. Not the best for a 5 star hotel. We could also hear the water running through the building every time someone in rooms around us turned on a tap or had a shower. Not easy fix issues but worth mentioning and it was pretty loud in the room we were in - 2219.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt hotel! The facilities and amenities were impressive, especially the gym, sauna, steam room, and indoor swimming pool. Our room offered a fantastic view and was spacious enough to accommodate a pull-out bed for my son and all the beds were comfortable. The spa bath in the bathroom was a lovely bonus that we truly enjoyed. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options to choose from. What stood out the most was the friendly and helpful staff, who made our experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this hotel!

The room was absolutely beautiful and with a gorgeous view, was definitely worth the upgrade price, and we loved having such a lovely bathroom with a bath unwind after a busy night. Thank you so much Grand Hyatt and staff!

When booking, I requested if anything could be added into our room to decorate for our anniversary to surprise my partner. I didn't expect anything massive, maybe just a small bottle of champagne or a towel animal or something. While there was nothing added to our room, the staff all knew that it was our anniversary and wished us a happy anniversary.

I last stayed in this hotel over 20 years ago. I am pleased to report that it is as good as ever. The staff are all very helpful. James runs the Club lounge like the true professional that he is. The sheets and towels are all excellent quality. The location of the hotel is wonderful right in the heart of everything. The views from the upper floors are fantastic. A great venue.

We were allocated with a room of the 32 floor which had great views. Sadly it was adjacent to the 6 lift shafts. This made for a noisy experience. The hotel has a Hot Tub and Indoor swimming pool. The entire area needs a good scrub!
