The Mantra was an exceptional stay. I am usually picky and extremely particular when it comes to booking accommodation however I was extremely pleased. The value for money was excellent, as we were a 5 minute walk to the centre CBD and a 10 minute walk to sights and stadiums. We had a lovely room, the smallest one you could “stay in” however was large in my opinion. Me and my partner loved this stay, we loved the space we had as well as the cleaning services we were offered upon request.

Honestly, nothing. It was a great stay. The one suggestion I could possibly make would be better dryer as the washer and dryer combination wasn’t the best. Asides from that, it was amazing.

The hotel has the best location. Trams, cafes, restaurants and some landmarks are at an arm’s length. The room was spacious. There was a sofa bed which added more sleeping space

It was difficult to get hold of someone at the reception. There was always a queue of 3-4 people. There was usually only one person there and the same person would be taking calls too. Being the busiest time of the year, the hotel seemed understaffed. There should be a drop box to drop request for room service. I kept calling at the reception and room service to request for it on 31st Dec but couldn’t get through. The reception had a long queue and i couldn’t keep standing in the queue, as I had to leave for a commitment. Ultimately i couldn’t get room service. The hand wash dispenser in our bathroom didn’t work properly and the body cleanser needed a refill.

We were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment instead of a one bedroom We had loads of space, beds were very comfy, lovely toiletries and soft towels, (even a face washer Yay!!) Crockery and cutlery were all clean and in good condition. Bonus, little complimentary treats on the dining table were very nice, and not something you see very much anymore so this was impressive. Carpets were clean, couch was comfortable, although way too small for a two bedroom apartment as you could only fit two people on it. The gentleman on the front desk (he didn't have a name tag) was very lovely to deal with

Only noticed small things like marks on the (sheer) curtains, small marks on walls, but mostly things you expect in an older accommodation unit.

I was thrilled with the location, price, room, and view. It was nicer than other rooms I've stayed in the city for more money. It was easy to book online. I paid the full amount when I booked and didn't have to pay any extra bond money when I got there. I've had to pay high bond prices and wait weeks for the refund in less nice hotels.

I just happened to use my phone to scan the QR code to tell me more about the room. The QR code was sitting on the table in the room. I thought the QR information would have been things like how to ues the air con. I was surprised that it said I had to clean all my dishes. It said that a $100 fee could be charged if I left a kitchen mess. I assumed that neatly leaving a few used dishes in the sink would have been okay. I did clean my dishes just to be safe, but was a bit disappointed in that detail considering I always leave my rooms quite tidy. Overall, the room was great but probably could have been a tiny bit cleaner. I noticed some mould on the bottom of windows.

The apartment,the area,location absolutely beautiful.The reception lady Serena was fantastic,she helped me out with everything and check in was quick and smooth.The location is the best Docklands is such a nice place with everything you need and such a peaceful area.Public transport within 3 minutes walking distance, Woolworths 5 minutes walking distance from apartment.Onecif the best cafes in Melbourne just at the corner Definitely I'll come back again.The apartment is so clean and modern. Loved my stay here!!!

I liked everything

Incredible location and easy process for after hours checking in. The layout of the apartment was great and had everything I needed.

Needed more attention to detail with the cleaning. The spare blankets had not been refolded and were rolled in a messy ball. When I removed the spare quilt to place on the bed, it was covered in stains. The place has a subtle dirty/stagnant water smell and the cupboard that had the washing machine inside had the hot water system on top of a filthy stand - felt dusty and dirty so I closed the cupboard even though I needed to complete some washing.

Location was great. We got a two-room apartment for 2 adults/3 teenagers. Staff at reception were happy (and quick) to remake the second double bed into two single beds at our request. Communal area of apartment was large, proper table, kitchen facilities, washing machine. Windows that opened which was nice.

Neither bedroom had windows, One room was tiny, no lamps and overhead light switch was outside the room. The other room had a broken bedside lamp (which was taken away by staff but not replaced). Glass door on shower doesn't cover enough so water went everywhere each time it was used.

Amazing location, well appointed room, quiet and easy to access, deal with etc. Price for space and amenities was spot on and cannot beat the location!

Cleaning left a lot to be desired and as we checked in late, and realised later, couldn't do anything about it. Previous guest musy have knocked over a drink and was still all over the bedroom wall. Sheets were clean, doona was stained, ended up chucking it off the bed and using the thin spare and blanket from the cupboard...

Location very close to shops, restaurants, cafes etc, the room was spacious and with a kitchenette.

The inside of the washing machine was full of dark fluffy materials, the cleaners didn't check when they cleaned the room. The previous guest must have used it to wash dark fluffy clothing, The washing machine do not have machine cleaning function, so I had to run rinse cycle twice to totally get rid of the fluff.

The room was spacious, quiet, very well resourced and extremely clean. The bedroom had a spacious wardrobe and the bed was very comfortable, allowing a very good night's sleep. There were cooking and laundry facilities within the apartment and which were very welcome. The reception staff were welcoming and check-in was quick and fuss-free. This is the second occasion I have stayed at the facility and I will definitely return. A brief but very comfortable stay. Thank you to all.
