Large room, good location, good value,excellent staff.

Noise, internal and external. Could hear toilets flushing, people chatting from adjoining rooms. Deliveries and refuse collection start very early in the vicinity. Despite the nice photos on the booking.com site, rooms seemed a bit dated and tired despite some apparent work The bathroom was a bit small.

This was a pretty great stay, location's a little tucked away but no means inaccessible. The street is still quite busy with a range of F&B places. The hotel has a retro no frills vibe but doesn't come across as kitschy at all. Everything is generally comfortable and the complimentary hot drinks available is a nice plus before heading out for the day. Staff was also friendly and wifi was pretty strong.

The only area of improvement for me would be the room service. I requested for the room to be cleaned just the one time. It was a decent basic cleaning job done and something small might have broken in the process and was left behind. A small matter.

Complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate and jelly beans in the reception area was great. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. Fluffy towels, nice feeling body wash and lotion. After reading the reviews I was anticipating a nice property but it exceeded my expectations. The room was quiet and barely heard any outside noise. Within very short walking distance to both the tram stop and train station. Also very close to a supermarket on the next street, convenience stores, cafes and restaurants. There were also windows to be able to opened to get fresh air instead of the air conditioner.

Nothing! It was a great stay for a couple.

The staff are very helpful and welcoming. I had booked 2 rooms and check in on different dates. We requested both rooms be close to each other. We understand that such request is not easy to entertain but the hotel not only arranged both rooms on the same floor but just next to one another. The room is spacious with simple kitchen facilities. Bed and pillow are comfortable. The hotel is situated very close to China Town so a great variety of restaurants are just downstairs. The hotel is within free tram zone and tram station is only within 5 minutes’ walk.

There were a number of bars around the hotel and our stay covered the Black Friday. A bit of noise was heard on that night which affected our sleep. However, it was quite quiet on the other dates.

Great location, easy to access everywhere we wanted to visit in the city via tram / walking. Room was very clean and comfortable with the added extra of a tv with streaming channels for rainy evenings. Very helpful and friendly staff on the desk. Free coffee available in the reception area! Would definitely recommend!

The only improvement we would suggest would be potentially adding a small stovetop to the kitchen area as the meals you can make are limited by there only being a microwave/toaster. Other than that, everything was perfect :)

The staff are very helpful and considerate. I had left behind something in the room after checking out. The hotel sent an email to inform us and arranged the item be returned to us. Thanks a lot to the hotel staff. Complimentary coffee and tea are available 24 hours in the lobby. Different kinds of restaurants are just around the hotel. Tram station within the free tram zone is just around the corner within a few minutes’ walk.

Convenient location for theatres, check in and check out staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable room and surprisingly pretty quiet considering location. We would stay again for location.

Bathroom and kitchen could do with a really good clean. Eg grout joins, silicone, back of bathroom door, cupboards and drawers inside and out in kitchen. Windows inside and out. Exhaust fan which had a “leave this on” label on it was noisy and rattled a lot. $35 for an outdoor parking space that was in an non secure location for one night was a bit steep. My travel companion was ok with leaving her car out but I have a nice car so I wouldn’t be happy with that at all.

Comfortable beds, wonderful and helpful staff, nice and clean apartment, clean facilities, plenty room as well as a little kitchenette coffee/tea making, small refrigerator which was big enough for our stay. Woolworths 4 min walk around corner. Her majesty theatre as well as Princess theatre at other end of the street, both only a 3 min walk. Cute cafe next door called Gordon House that has a delicious menu at reasonable prices. China town just down the road but I would highly recommend Shark Finn restaurant that’s only a 2 min walk away. Car park next door and only $35 for a day park

Nothing to complain about

Staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to have free late check out and leave our bags at reception before our flight. Room was very spacious and clean with a small kitchenette and breakfast bench (a nice bonus). Plenty of tea and coffee were supplied in the room and downstairs near reception. Plus hot chocolate and a water filling station. Beds were very comfortable. Location was perfect close to parks, restaurants, shops, attractions, and transport. I will definitely come back to stay.

There were three of us, so after hanging 3 towels plus a hand towel on all the hooks and railings, there was no space to hang my clothes. It didn't worry me too much, as I really enjoyed my stay. Only a small suggestion, to add another hook or two in the bathroom.

Friendly and helpful staff, great central location. Clean, fresh and spacious with everything supplied for a comfortable stay. Loved the quality bedding, particularly enjoyed the pure wool blanket. The kitchenette was just right, with a selection of teas and coffee.

1. The air conditioning motor next to the bed is noisy and I had to sleep with ear plugs. 2. The safe did not work. 3. The bathroom has a nice deep bath and even has bath salts provided, but the plug provided didn't fit, which was disappointing because I was really looking forward to a bath. I didn't call staff up to sort it out at the time because it was night, and I was just trying to unwind and have some time to myself.
