I loved every thing about my stay! It was perfect, the view, the personal staff & everything was really clean! The breakfast buffet had everything aswell.

I liked the breakfast buffet , a variety of food and I loved the hot chocolate! The view from our room was fantastic, especially at night, where the city was light up. Oakwood Premier Melbourne has very good security, but you could still move freely around. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a safe, beautiful and clean hotel in Melbourne.

There could have been 1 more bed but apart from that everything is good. There also could have been more toliteries.

- The staff was super friendly and even helped us with an early checking in. - The room was super nice and you have a great view on the city.

- The location is a bit outside but nothing bad. It is like a 30min walk to the center.

Everything about this property ticked all the boxes for me. Im just disappointed I didn’t discover it years ago. The location is excellent, the hotel amenities were great, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was quiet, well appointed and the bed very comfortable. I ate downstairs in the lobby and also had room service and both meals were great. I will definitely be making this my regular place to stay when I come to Melbourne.

The only thing I could really fault (and this is just me racking my brain trying to think of something negative) is that the room service trays could be collected earlier. I had a meal approx 7pm and the tray was still outside my room at 9am when i left the next morning and by then it was quite smelly and a bit off-putting in the hallway

Good location. Very comfortable. Most services at your fingertips, food, shopping and other services within the Oakwood. Our room was great and well appointed. We had a meal at the roof top restaurant. The price was up there but the experience made up for it. The view was great. Will definitely be back to stay again.

Would be good to have larger bath towels and 3 ply toilet paper! Would be good to have a drying rack in the rooms that have a washing machine. Not everything can go through the dryer. If traffic noise bothers you ask for a room not facing the freeway. More window acoustics would deaden the traffic but this might be part of the city experience!

Oakwood Premier Melbourne had a wonderful location for our purpose. We were able to easily access both the DFO and CBD and nearby grocery stores because of its excellent location. The staff was unbelievably nice and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay one of the most pleasant stays we have experienced in the 30 years we have been traveling. They extended our stay several times and managed to keep us in the same room through their busy weeks. Lastly, the room was cleaned when requested and promptly if necessary. I want to mention the supportive staff who helped make the stay so great were Front Desk: Brookse, Hannah, Mike (Bar Attendant), Palna (Supervisor Reservation). These particular individuals went up and beyond their regular duties to make our stay enjoyable and completely satisfactorily in every way 🤗🤗. Please continue to hold these high standards of service and quality at Oakwood Premier Melbourne. We will definitely be back.

There was one issue that proved unacceptable to us during our stay. It was the overall dry cleaniny services of the company used by OAKWOOD. The service was very poor quality with cleaning and, especially, cleaning.

First and foremost, the staff is friendly, courteous and very professional. The location was excellent. I think, personally being in the Southbank neighborhood allows easy excess to all the most important travel and tourist areas. The DFO is another plus since it, too, can provide you with a lot of other needed services (clothing, dry cleaning services, nail salon, hair salon, pharmacy and, of course, food court and small grocery store). And then right out side the doors of the DFO are all types of restaurants and connection onto a promenade that leads to the casino and a host of other restaurants, or connections to the CBD and trams.

I think there should be a little more explanation or information sheet about the property and operation of items in unit. Also, you should have two remotes if you have two televisions — when we inquire we were told you only get one. It seems like a little thing, but when you stay for two months, it becomes a bit inconvenient. Also, we experienced, twice, during our stay, children of other visitors knocking on our door several times and then running and hiding. We caught them on the second occasion and warned them about doing this and reported the incident, but no employee or manager ever called or responded to us. This appears to be a frequent prank done by kids who are left alone by their parents, at times, doing their stay.

The service and the room were really great. The location is really good, close to the highway, in the South Wharf, only 5-10 min by foot from the next Free Tram Zone station.

The breakfast needs some serious improvement. For a 5-stars hotel there are many things missing. Fruits, for example. In a country such as Australia, with so much variety, I do think they should also have at least kiwis, strawberries, etc. The breakfast staff doesn’t seem motivated, leaving several serving platters to go empty and not refilling them unless asked. The breakfast experience felt really underwhelming.

The location of the Oakwood was perfect for our stay, where we worked at the convention centre for an event. So many stores were within walking distance, including Coles, grocers and restaurants along the riverside. Check in was simple and easy and we took advantage of the free bag minding the hotel offered. Our room was large with amazing views of Melbourne. The kitchen in the room was well stocked, and all appliances were clean, fresh and worked. The bathroom in particular was beautifully furnished and the bed large and comfortable. We will be staying here again next time we are in Melbourne.

Beds are super comfy, views are amazing, facilities are top notch. Walking distance to the DFO, Convention Centre, Yarra River and shops. Wished I stayed longer.

Its how to get there. We were at the DFO with luggage and shopping and taxis were not happy to take us to the hotel because of the short distance. This was the same from the Crown Resorts area at 11 pm. We had to walk. Not that it's the hotel's fault but it's just a good to know. Did uber and didi from the Southern Cross station and because it's another close proximity had a couple of cancellation from drivers. There's a tram line plus 5 mins walk but it was late at night so the trams were not as frequent.
