Room was large, spacious and the chrome cast worked. I thought the main challenge is i would want a similar room in a similar location next time and i don't know how easy it is to book with that request being accomodated. I very much enjoyed the gym facilities. Loved the chocolates left after room turn - a lovely touch.

The room furnishings were quite old and the rooms felt dark. The electrical ports had some power issues and the casing around the ports by the bed fell off one night.

Stayed for 8 nights. Good location along south bank. Very convenient. Many amenities. Short walk across the river to cbd area. Room service was very fast (for top up of room amenities)

Major issues with wifi and 4G. Connection was zero at times for both wifi and 4G and highly unreliable (intermittent) in the hotel rooms. This was really frustrating - ended up going down to the hotel lobby a few times in desperation where the reception was much better. Food around the crown area pricey - need to venture further away for more decent prices. Gets crowded on weekends.

Spacious rooms for a family, convenient location within Crown and to access South Melbourne market and Docklands vicinity. Service and staff were lovely. The pool was the highlight, large and exceptional views and lots of seating. Room service food quality was good with generous servings.

Queues to check in were lengthy due to volume of guests, about 20 min wait around 3pm. The cleanliness of the rooms could be improved, for example cleaning under the beds (which would easily move as they are rollable). The bathrooms tiles and grout look mouldy, sink vanity cracked and handles were loose. There is no bathtub for young children and the shower head has no flexible hose, however the shower pressure is nice and strong for adults!

Rooms very comfortable, great facilities including gym and pool. Range and quality of breakfast foods were amazing, I will return to this hotel again because of this. Check in staff quick, efficient, helpful and thorough.

Behind the shower door was a line of mould in the grout but this didn't bother me too much but considering the high standard of the rest of the hotel, I thought you might want to know. I was not approached at all on the first day for tea and/or coffee during breakfast and I made the decision to approach the server on the second as I had waited for 10 minutes without anyone even coming my way.

Great views, good location, size of the room was good.

For $380 a night, there were a few things I found to be a problem. To find the hotel from the car park was very difficult. The lifts from the car park are a long way from the hotel. Then, the lifts to the rooms and the lobby are in a very isolated location past some toilets and the signage was terrible. No plates to speak of. Cardboard cutlery. No power outlet next to the bed. Lighting was poor. Fridge was chocka block full of stuff I didn’t want to drink. Kitchenette area was full of stuff I didn’t want to eat. All about charging you extra money in my opinion. Overall a nice stay but I expected a bit more for the price.

Room was clean, spacious, with great amenities. Foxtel on TV. Extra pillows for comfort. Great stocked mini bar. Soaps and lotions in the bathroom. High shower heads with amazing water pressure. As I’m 6ft 7, having a tall shower is a huge plus for me.

Only picky thing I can say is that the pool was way too overcrowded with children. Wish there was a time when it is adults only. Also, I wish that paying guests can have 24/7 gym access. I tried to access the gym Sunday morning before my 7am flight. Therefore I tried to access the gym at 5:00am and could not.

The pool was incredible. In fact the whole level including gym, spa, pool, sunbeds and coffee option was worth all the money spent at this hotel. There is an adults only time at the pool area from 6am-9am which is lovely, quiet and if you're lucky, you'll get a piece of it all to yourselves. The size of the hotel rooms are lovely. We shared a room with our kids aged 11 and 13 in 2 large beds. Very comfortable, lovely coverings and big open windows. Interesting bathroom set up, having the toilet in a separate little closed off room was good however an side gap into the living area from the bathroom was a little odd, but it didn't bother us. It might though, if adults are sharing the room and would prefer a little more privacy. The hotel is attached to the whole Crown centre underneath so everything from eating, coffee, the Casino, bowling, and loads of other activities at an air conditioned walk away is really appealing especially with kids to keep entertained. The Hive restaurant is also a nice spot for breakfast or just grabbing a coffee on the go (or to take up to the pool if there in that quiet early time of the morning) as the coffee doesn't seem to be on at the pool that early. This hotel is one of my favourites, not much to fault, staff so happy to help, hold luggage and let you know via text if you arrive early and wish to check in before the allocated time, they'll let you know.

The only one thing I would like to change is perhaps to upgrade so there's a coffee pod machine in the rooms. No other things to note.

Location great for access to the DFO and Southbank and of course the Casino. Room was very large and well appointed.

Check in was quite slow - it was the weekend before Xmas, and while the staff that were rostered were doing a good job, they were understaffed. Room service did not attend despite us asking them to, when we requested towels once it was clear they were not attending, champagne was sent instead (!?) not complimentary though - we sent it back and called again for towels, which eventually came. Again, may have been to the very busy festive season. Pool was so busy and full of kids so we stayed away - adult only pool hours either early morning or later evening may be a good solution.

The location is why we chose metrapol. We had a concert at Marvel stadium, an easy 20 minute walk. Room service at 11pm was fast and fresh! A little pricey but food was beautiful. Amazing views on the 20th floor. The pool was beautiful and fantastic views.

A few finishes in the room need a clean up, the carpet felt damp, need to be able to control the temperature in each room. Whatever is in the pool has tarnished my rings, they will need to be cleaned. Would recommend taking rings off before swimming. Front desk didn't explain the lifts ( U need to swipe Ur room card to use the lift) so we spent a bit trying to work that out.

Pool had amazing views. Could be open later as you feel like a swim after dinner. The spa should definitely be open till later as you really want to unwind before bed. The location is the main reason we stay here. We enjoy the shopping also.

There should be complimentary water in the hotel which you expect from a 4 - 5 star hotel. Water is a necessity Not a luxury. There could also be coffee pod machines. The pool and spa should be open till later.
