Hotel was great overall, convenient location to walk to public transport, central shopping centre, the casino and the convention centre and skybus to get to the airport. The hotel stagg were always friendly and always working diligently when I saw them. The hotel stores bags which is convenient for early/ late flights. The room had great facilities especially for an extended stay and the room was a comfortable size for 2 people which had all the needed kitchen facilities. The gym had enough equipment for a basic workout. The only negative things were the sound from the trains could be a bit loud and unfortunately there was only one elevator working which meant waiting sometimes a long time to get up and down from your room, the hotel had maintenance people in to attempt to fix the elevator on a number of occasions amd were very apologetic so these would not be major setbacks or prevent me from staying again in the future. Overall fabulous stay!

It was a very comfortable and lovely 4 nights. I felt very welcomed the moment i walked into the reception area. As I was too early, they offered luggage storage which I already knew was a provided service from the Q&As. The rooms and bathroom were clean, shower amenities were provided and they even gave laundry powder for the washing machine. The dryer was also simple to use and worked well. The bed was soft, which suits my preference. Smart TV ✔️ AC was also cold if you turn the temp down and set it to high, not sure abt the reviews who complained that the bedroom was hot, perhaps they stayed in 1 bedroom apts and the AC couldnt cool their rooms as much? The location couldnt be any better. 2 free tram stops just outside the street or 2 traffic lights away which takes you around the CBD. It's also just a few minutes to Southern Cross Stn for trains. There's a 7-11 just around the corner. As I booked the executive suite and stayed at Level 27 (highest 28 gym), i didn't have an issue with environment sounds. Just the occasional quiet rumble from the AC and train which was alright. Oh and side note, if you call an Uber/Didi, they will pick/drop you off at the road beside the hotel building, not in front of the entrance.

Ample power points but i felt like none of it were suitable for the kettle. I had to boil the water in the cabinet (leaving the door open), or in front of the TV which was kinda weird but not a big deal. Also 1 of the lift were constantly down during all 5 days, so a lot of waiting for that 1 other lift esp when i stayed at lvl 27.

Loved the location of the stay, tram stops to flinders station right out front and tram stops to Spencer street and Bourke street half a block down. the room was clean, easy to get to and had lots of storage. I was quite pleased with how little the noise was from the trains (I was on the 9th floor on flinders street) it more sounded like a heater kickin in when the windows where closed sort of like white noise.

The bed and pillows were very soft as someone who likes a hard pillow it was a big adjustment. There were quite a few scratch and scuff marks on the walls and the aircon in the living room didn’t reach into the bathroom or bedroom due to the layout. I would have preferred the tv in the bedroom as well and possibly an aircon or vent from the aircon into the bedroom particularly. When the windows were open however it was extremely noisy and not bearable. The cables to close the blinds were extremely short and if you’re shorter than 5”4 you probably wouldn’t be able to reach them as I struggled to open and close the blinds each day.

Property was exceptional, great value for money, central location and great facilities. Staff were very helping and easy to deal with, amenities excellent and there communication pre, during and prior is exceptional. Room was equipped with everything you would need for your stay, and was great to have the advertised pictures actually meet the physical room for a change. Bed was soft for my personal preference as i prefer a firm bed, but that shouldn't be a negative on the accommodation, just my personal preference. The accommodation is close to the train lines so there is some background noise but i barely noticed it after the first 2 days.

Loved the location, we stayed here for the formula one and it was right near the express tram stop to the track which was super handy. The room had everything we needed including all the kitchen supplies needed so it was perfect to help us save money and cook in the room.

They was only one elevator working and it didn’t look like they were trying to fix the other one quickly, this was annoying having to wait so long every time. Room cleaning was not very good they just replaced the towels and didn’t empty the bins or anything else but other than that no major issues.

The location was super easy, walking distance from the southern cross station (where the airport transfer bus dropped me off) Tons of coffee shops and restaurants in the area. Walking distance from where a lot of tours picked up from. The receptionist was so nice and helpful. The apartment was so clean and identical to the photos online. Such an easy stay for my 1 day in Melbourne.

The location is close to the train station, so you hear the trains. The noise stops when the trains stop running at night. This didn't bother me at all, but its just something to note if you go to bed super early or are super sensitive to noise.

We had the river-view suite on the 23rd floor and it's all about the view! Incredible. Our modern suite was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The position near Southern Cross Station and overlooking the river was excellent.

Our air conditioner didn't work when we checked in, but it was soon fixed by the maintenance staff. Apart from that, there were a couple of minor quibbles (eg the shower head leaked a bit, we couldn't get the dishwasher to work) but generally everything was good. One of the two hotel lifts was out of operation so that did mean some waiting for the one lift, just like all the other guests.

The people were amazing. On Saturday night 4th Jan 2025 from 9:30 pm, the fire alarm went off and we evacuated the building. The firemen and police were there to manage the Canvas guests. I guess there was a Canvas employee but not sure. Anyway the situation was under control in under an hour, and guests returned to their rooms. I thought the situation was managed very well by all involved.

Noise from public transport outside. We were fine with that but some guests may have issues. The trains are quieter if the technology was upgraded.

My partner and I stayed in the executive suite on the 25th floor with a view of the city, unexpectedly we also had a view of the Yarra. It was absolutely beautiful! We were both impressed with not only the view but the size and cleanliness of the apartment. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Upon booking I read reviews about how comfortable the beds were and they didn't disappointment either. The bed was super comfortable which was the main reason why I booked, I like a good quality sleep. I also read some reviews about the train line being noisy but for us we hardly noticed it. I actually found it calming listening to a faint train every now and then. It may of been because we were on the 25th floor but either way it didn't bother us at all. The location was perfect! Close to Southern Cross station obviously, so it was easy to come and go and get public transport. It was also super close to the Yarra. Everything is within walking distance plus their is a tram spot right out the front to hop on and off. I honestly loved my stay here that I would book again. There was nothing I didn't like.

The location was incredible - park the car (secure parking) & enjoy the city! The view was amazing. Staff were beyond friendly, cannot praise them enough!

It was unfortunate the TV didn't work. I've been in hospitality for 25+ years, so I would change a couple of things. The rubbish chute is on the same level as the penthouse, so I'd have an automatic air freshener to mask the smell. I'd move the current TV to the lower level bedroom and have a 55"-65" TV on the top level of the apartment. I'd ensure there were enough condiments (no sugar) and perhaps bottles of water in the fridge. The fridge also made a noise which some might find irritating. But that's just from my experience. We did enjoy the stay!
