View from the room was unreal Great facilities, spacious room. Definatley had the luxury feel They let us check in one hour earlier and check out one hour later which i appreciated Located in central so walked around to most places and tram and train was short walk away

A member of staff walked into my room, 2 hours before check out without any permission. I was getting out the shower and saw a man walk past and completley frightened me and he saw me naked. It made me furious that staff think its acceptable to walk into rooms without permission. I complained to the reception desk and had no apology. The staff looked at me blank saying "errrrrrrr". Im baffled, it wasnt second nature for him to apologise to me?

Spacious two bedroom apartment with magnificent views across the Southbank area of Melbournes CBD. Well appointed kitchen & full glass wall of windows / sliding door enabling us to enjoy the view from either inside the lounge & bedrooms or from out on the balcony. We could see the Melbourne Aquarium & Crown Towers just across the Yarra. Easy walking to the apartment from Southern Cross station as well as quick & easy access to the CBD & trams. Made visiting the NGV, Lume & the Immigration Museum easy!

The bathroom was very ‘cosy’ but the shower was awesome! The bed needed a decent topper to cover up the ‘joined’ single beds & was too hard for me. The spare bedding helped provide some additional softness but wasn’t ideal. This would be the only thing stopping me from staying at Aura again.

Location - It is near the tram and major metro - Southern Cross Station and Flinders Station. It is near Southbank and you can roam around easily. Room - The room is just right for us. We are a family of 5. The 2 rooms are just right for us. View - We stayed at the 25th floor. It is overlooking Melbourne. It's nice to wake up and sleep with the view from our room.

I didn't bother to ask but I hope they have cleaning services including replenishment of the toiletries/change of towels for those who stayed for 3 days. If they have, I hope they offer it to their customers proactively. Anyways, the overall experience is still great.

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The balcony has an incredible view of the city and we were in a great location, meaning we were able to walk to most places or we could easily get the tram from near the building. There were some great cafes and restaurants just outside of the building too. It was a great place to stay during our visit to Melbourne!

The room was a little tired and could do with decorating but this was the only fault and didn't cause an issue.

It was a surprise to be upgraded to a room with a fabulous view over the river. The location was close to transport an many attractions. The kitchen was well equipped and the furniture comfortable. The apartment style rooms offer so much more than a standard motel room. There were many dining opportunities nearby as well as convenience stores to buy and cook meals yourself.

There wasn't much bench space in the bathroom. We didn't like being asked to put garbage down the garbage shute and bring recycling down to the foyer. Minor things which didn't detract from the overall positive experience.

Convenient location, close to Skybus, free tram stop and our day tour pickup points. Fantastic city view, especially at night. Walking distance to variety of restaurants. We had the best ever Domino’s pizza in Australia (shop is just across the road)! The Japanese restaurant downstairs is also quite good. Nice shower, water pressure is great. 24-hour reception service is great, we feel safe when we return from our day tour late at night. Friendly staff, late checkout time and free luggage storage service is impressive. We’ll definitely be back again!

Close to train tracks, a bit noisy. But once the balcony door closed, it doesn’t really bother us. I guess bedroom windows all locked for safety reasons, but not good for ventilation. My son also suggests all bedroom blinds to be changed to curtains to cover the windows properly to improve people’s sleep.

We were on the 18th floor (of 26 floors) and had a river-view 1 bedroom apartment. The view and access to the balcony were really good, nice to have an option for fresh air. For us and our plans, the location was really good, tram stops either side of the complex and very short stroll to the river, DFO and other sights. The apartment layout was functional with the kitchen/ living space being compact. Having stayed in other cities (Sydney, New York, etc), I expected a lot more traffic/ emergency services noise but it was minimal.

The extra bed we needed was a slim, firm mattress placed over a long, padded lounge/ seat so it wasn't an extra bed as I expected. I feel the charge of $50/ night was a bit steep for what it was as our daughter who slept on it said it wasn't very comfortable. Also, there was an amount of white material under the 2 seater couch that should have been vacuumed during servicing.

I loved the friendliness of the staff and recommendations that they had given me, my hotel room was perfect and clean. Linen changed and towels changed daily. Location is great as it’s close to trams, train stations to get around the whole city with. Many food and drink venues nearby so you don’t have to travel far. There’s grocery markets around the block or deli stores closer. 10-15 min walk to main shopping malls so it’s very convenient to stay at.

Only the shower door didn’t close all the way so water would leak out, but staff’s members always made sure the towels were changed daily, so no issue.

Have stayed at Aura on flinders a few times now. Staff are always friendly, apartment is well equipped, and it’s clean. I also feel it’s reasonably priced and they do not hold back on replenishing essential items. To the cleaner who politely popped by and changed our towels, restocked our toilet paper, and treated us like normal people, thank you! I travel a lot and it’s becoming ridiculous how tight certain accommodations can be, you do lot need to worry about that at Aura on Flinders.

Other guests leaving rubbish around and one guest in particular interrupting our check-in with her entitled behaviour. She overwhelmed the staff member and as we were extremely exhausted, this added more stress we could have done without.

The location is excellent providing you with a central location from which to explore all that Melbourne has to offer. The apartment is a very good size and had all the amenities we needed. The room cost was very good value for money and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will be my choice for another trip to Melbourne for sure.

The only issue we had was that the double bed was two large singles joined together. The base was fine, but the top mattresses moved and it sometimes made a gap in the middle.
