We stayed here for three nights. The location is great and close to tram stops, Shops and restaurants. On check-in, the Concierge was very friendly and helpful as were all staff each time we were in the foyer. We stayed in the King Deluxe 1 bedroom suite with river view on the 12th floor and the view did not disappoint. The room had a great layout and a washing machine/Dryer (one reason for choosing this accommodation). Nice big TV. The King bed and pillows were very comfortable. I was worried at first thinking being so close to the train line that we wouldn't be able to sleep but the windows were double glazed so as well as being warmer, it seemed to also block out a lot of the noise. The blinds were blackout blinds and were great. Now the bathroom.... the water pressure was absolutely fantastic. Can honestly say this had been the best shower pressure in any accommodation that I have stayed in, that is saying a lot as I'm in Melbourne at least once a year for shopping, concerts. The building overall was nice and quiet.

Only a minor for me and that's the washing machine/Dryer in one combo....takes a long time to complete a full cycle. Would this stop me from staying in the future? Absolutely not. This may be one place I will keep on the accommodation list.

We love the location on the river where it is still only a short walk into the CBD, but away from the hustle and bustle of the city crowds. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and the views in the Riverview Rooms (which we always book) are stunning. Having a well equipped kitchen means we didn’t have to eat out all the time and there is even the bonus of an in-room washer dryer should we need it. Coming in from regional Vic, we generally arrive by train into the nearby (5 minute walk) Southern Cross station for our city visits, but love that there is a secure car park, which we used for this visit. Breakfast at the William’s Restaurant was delicious and filling each day. A relaxing and comfortable city-stay!

All was perfect during this stay.

We stayed for two nights and got the one-bedroom suit with river view,breakfast included. The view was spectacular. The beds were very comfy and the staff were very friendly and nice. The breakfast was amazing. We enjoy alot. There were alot of facilities like washing machine, kitchen. For kids there was sofa bed which they prepared it before we arrived. Extra blankets. For the cleanliness I give the 10/10.

I didn't like the the room because there was alot of train noise was came from outside which was not good specially night time. Other than that I am very satisfied. 2nd car park building was so scary very narrow.

Proximity to CBD was good which meant we walked everywhere. We were able to park our car in Clarion’s secure carpark for $30 per night. The Apartment was equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. Our 1 bedroom river view apartment (13th floor) offered lovely views of the river and city. However we could hear the trams but we got used to the noise. Staff member - August was very helpful, personable and also professional. Other staff members attended to our needs swiftly and efficiently. This is the second time we’ve stayed here and will stay next time we are in Melbourne.

In the city.. tour meeting/dropoff points were like 2mins away which is important especially when early meeting or late drop off.. moving around the city was easy .. free trams in city … lots of eating spots.. nice view from room .. view of the Yarra River.. bedroom was a little small, cramped with 2 single beds, would have been good if the toilet was equipped with bidet but otherwise everything else was good.. even had washer/dryer, oven and dishwasher … just like an Airbnb … staff were great, polite and helpful..

Brilliant location. Walking distance to everything in the CBD including the Yarra River. The room was very spacious and quiet. Very comfortable bed. Staff were exceptional. This place has a lot going for it, it's just needs some money injected into bringing it up into 2025.

The room and amenities are very tired and old. The room needs a total refurb, especially the bathroom/toilet. Every time we went for a shower, it was hard to keep the water from splashing over everything, including the toilet. The duvet inner was all pilled and ripped. This was exposed due to the method used to make the bed. Should've used a duvet cover, not the sheet method, so we didn't see this. You are paying for the location.

The view was amazing. The beds were as comfortable as they get. The shower temperature and pressure was excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location and on site parking was very convenient. The rooms were clean and well set out. The black out curtains and the safety lock on the door to the balcony were appreciated. Coffee at the cafe was perfect.

So that our toddler could have a bath I booked a One-Bedroom Suite with River View as it stated it had a bath. The photo of the bathroom also showed a bath. Upon arrival I was told I should have asked for a bath in the special request section. There were no rooms available with a bath so we were offered a bottle of wine instead. The intercom for the car park was also very frustrating as the staff could never properly hear/understand us so there was lots of back and forth and waiting at the gate.

We stayed in a one-bedroom corner city view apartment. The location was brilliant as we could easily walk or catch a free tram to anywhere in CBD. It's only a 18-minute walk to Marvel Stadium which was handy as we went to a concert there one night. South bank is also just across the bridge in front of the property. The unit was large and bright, and the expansive city views down to Federation Square and views across the river to South bank were awesome.

The one bed city view unit we booked has a studio next to it & they can be rented together as a 2 bedroom. The wall between our bedroom and the studio was paper thin and on the second night we could hear every word the people staying in the studio were saying as I think the bed was literally on the other side of the wall to ours. This could have been awkward as I was travelling with my 13 yo son. Luckily the people were polite and didn't get up to any antics.

The front desk team lift this place to must stay levels. I was quickly on first name terms with Evie, Neil and Arnie. That’s so good when far from home. When they found I was extending for another 11 nights they insisted on upgrading me to a suite. The views over the Yarra to Southbank are magnificent and it’s a short walk there or into the city. The rooms are spotless. Dave and Crystal in the restaurant are friendly too and the breakfast is good with eggs made to order. You do you but I’ll definitely be coming back here next time I’m in Melbourne.

Full disclosure: it’s dated and I love funky modern places but it just goes to show how people can make the difference. It’s by the railroad which is noisy but the double glazing is good and I have tinnitus so am used to dealing with unwanted noise.

The location was perfect for our one night in Melbourne. Close to the Yarra River and Southgate/Bank. The bed was the best we’ve slept in in ages. The view from Room 9021 was perfect. And the staff were very welcoming upon arrival.

The majority of the balcony was dominated the air conditioning system. So there was very little balcony to enjoy. There was no clothes horse to hang washing. And no soap powder/liquid provided on the washing machine. A French coffee press could be a great addition to the kitchen facilities as many service apartments provide them these days. And the showers spray way too much water on the floor (dated bathrooms).
