This property is about 1.5Km from the centre of Melbourne, so it is an easy walk to all the restaurants and tourist venues in the CBD, but to make it even easier, it is only a 200m walk to the nearest free city loop tram stops. The property is a little dated, but that is offset by the cleanliness of the rooms and the comfort of the furnishings. The on-site restaurant is of wonderful quality and reasonably priced. Even though it is very close to train and tram lines, the rooms are exceptionally quiet. But for us, the very best feature of the hotel was the staff. From the incredibly warm welcome on check-in to the front desk staff greeting us like friends during the stay to the friendliness and efficiency of the housekeeping and restaurant staff, every interaction was amazing.

Our rooms only had a view of the office building opposite, but it was not unpleasant, and the fact it had mirrored glass gave a sense of it being a more open view.

We stayed here for three nights. The location is great and close to tram stops, Shops and restaurants. On check-in, the Concierge was very friendly and helpful as were all staff each time we were in the foyer. We stayed in the King Deluxe 1 bedroom suite with river view on the 12th floor and the view did not disappoint. The room had a great layout and a washing machine/Dryer (one reason for choosing this accommodation). Nice big TV. The King bed and pillows were very comfortable. I was worried at first thinking being so close to the train line that we wouldn't be able to sleep but the windows were double glazed so as well as being warmer, it seemed to also block out a lot of the noise. The blinds were blackout blinds and were great. Now the bathroom.... the water pressure was absolutely fantastic. Can honestly say this had been the best shower pressure in any accommodation that I have stayed in, that is saying a lot as I'm in Melbourne at least once a year for shopping, concerts. The building overall was nice and quiet.

Only a minor for me and that's the washing machine/Dryer in one combo....takes a long time to complete a full cycle. Would this stop me from staying in the future? Absolutely not. This may be one place I will keep on the accommodation list.

The location is fabulous and the apartment has everything you need for your stay.😊

The proximity to the trains means the noise takes a bit of getting used to but not enough to put me off staying at the Clarion Suites again

Booked a studio for 8 nights and we were upgraded to a river view. What an amazing view! Room had two single beds, a sofa and a small kitchenette, with sink, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. A good sized room. The shower was great, hot and good pressure but it is over a bath tub. A small balcony (not able to sit out but nice to step out). Daily housekeeping was great. The buffet breakfast was fabulous. Always fresh and plenty of variety. Freshly cooked eggs. Staff at breakfast were great. Included coffee was bitter but coffee shop coffee was superb (at extra cost) Great location. Walking distance to everything we needed. Uber to the airport $51 (7am)

The sliding door to the balcony was very very difficult to open.

Friendly, helpful staff. Good communication. Easy check-in. Convenient location. Breakfast was a bonus - not amazing but ticked a box. Room very clean and comfortable. Everything you need provided. Good shower, comfy bed. Good black-out blinds. Nice view over the Yarra towards South Bank.

A little bit of noise from the train lines (we were on level 12). If you were lower down I expect the noise would be more pronounced. I am a light sleeper though so probably wouldn't bother most people. The walls were thin and we did hear noise from the other guests near us. Again only minor though and wouldn't stop me staying there again.

We just spent an amazing 3 nights here. Communication with Elvie prior to arrival was reassuring we had chosen the perfect place to call home for a few days. She was very helpful and was never rushing to get me off the phone. Upon arrival we were greeting by her bubbly, smiling face and we were treated like we were frequent visitors to the hotel. We received an amazing suite upgrade with a bottle of Bubbly and made to feel like very special guest. After a long day touring the Great Ocean Rd we were greeted back to the hotel with the biggest smile and lots of questions from Elvie about how our day went, she could see we were exhausted and she popped up to our Penthouse Suite with some specialty biscuits and drink voucher for the morning to have a cappuccino on them with breakfast. Totally 5 ++++ Stars from us 3 very happy customers.

We had booked the 2 bedroom apartment for our family of five for 4 nights. It was such a nice and comfortable with spacious rooms with all the required amenities in the room itself. It also had a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. Special mention to the amazing staff who were super attentive to our needs and extremely prompt (an extreme rare sight in Australia!) There is even a restaurant at the property where you could take your meals or walk down / take the tram (at 400m) to go any where. The location was very central!

The dryer did not work properly and there was also no other option to dry the clothes.

All of the staff I interacted with, from Evie (I think? I'm terrible with names but she was an 11/10 at check-in, very exuberant) at reception to housekeeping and restaurant staff were friendly, engaging and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable and well supplied. I was particularly pleased to find decaf coffee included in the in room tea and coffee selections, and the complimentary milk was restocked daily. The breakfast buffet was great, fresh eggs made your way and a good variety. I was again impressed by the wide range of alternate milks available next to the cereal. Maybe it's a Melbourne thing, but no where else have I been able to have oat milk without an extra charge. The bed and pillows were great, and the range of seating options were comfortable.

I was on the side facing Flinders, and even on the 12th floor the sound proofing could have been better. Not terrible, but I've had better.
