Everything! Location is amazing. Walk to everything including Southbank and 15 minutes Uber to St Kilda. Modern and funky with amazing bars and restaurants plus the pool is incredible with a bar and great views. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful from Alan on reception to Michael at Curios bar on the lower level. Our room was ridiculously big. I was tempted to put the sateen sheets in my suitcase and take them home. So comfortable! And the bed was huge too. Room was thoughtfully stocked with anything we may need from toothbrushes to a variety of beverages. The bathroom was huge and the products provided had a luxurious scent. Also there is a heated toilet with every function imaginable! I will be back. Cannot recommend highly enough. Genuinely five stars.

The staff all went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The pool was fantastic too. It’s also in an amazing location in the Melbourne CBD.

The cleanliness needed more eye for detail. Our room was dust and things were not all cleaned properly when we arrived.

The location was perfect, allowing me to walk straight to my favorite restaurants. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating—when they learned we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with a chocolate that ended up becoming my favorite. They also upgraded our room, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The hotel itself was beautiful, and the gym was well-equipped enough to support a variety of workouts.

What I didn’t like was not discovering this hotel sooner, especially since it has amazing restaurants and a spa right inside—I wish I had researched it better in advance. Knowing this now, I’ll definitely take full advantage of those amenities next time. I will surely be coming back again!

Fantastic location and the rooms are beautiful. We appreciated how helpful the staff was and overall vibe of the hotel was lovely.

The hotel itself is obviously high standard which comes with high price and that is OK. However, they are trying to charge you double to triple amount for abolsutely everything. The parking price is through the roof, things in mini bar are literally 3 times more expensive than in store (1 asahi for 13 dollars, smallest moet for 95 dollars) - they really need reality check. The pool area was dirty on Saturday, dirty towels and take out left all around, not collected glasses, just filthy. The wifi kept dropping out, the chromcast didn't work properly. Not something you expect at this high rate.

Room was excellent, comfortable, clean. Staff were super friendly and attentive, reception, house keeping - everyone -- well done & thank you.

Ordered some delivery food as kitchen was closed by 11pm. It was delivered to reception and no one mentioned it, I had to get dressed and go down and get it while it was getting cold. Could have called to let me know it was there or brought it to room. I feel the NYE fee being 3 x the price was a little steep, I will come back another time when it is regular rates to try some of the different rooms.

From the moment we arrived, met at Valet parking by Coby ( fantastic customer service) through to being met at reception by Alex ( fantastic customer service, open and inviting approach), loved the complementary glass of Chandon spritz by the way. The service didn’t end there, once in our room, as we were admiring the decor and the toilet seat ( game changer by the way), we received a knock on the door, a complimentary bottle of bubbles was delivered ( very unexpected, but very appreciated). Then we told a friend of ours where we were staying, while we admired the pool and relaxed in it for an hour, we had another bottle of wine and macaroons delivered to our bedroom ( so great work on the interaction between our friends and yourselves). The staff at the pool bar were amazing and open but unfortunately I didn’t get their name. All the way to through to check out when we met another fantastic staff member who organised our car whilst we chatted in the lift, then took our luggage. Cannot rate the customer service and hotel staff enough. Great decor, great feel, great hotel.

On a very minor note, but note this would not stop us coming again: there is moss/mould growing around the pool edge, if you sit in the pool and look towards the timber panelling there is a section 5+ metres of green mould running along the edge of the pool. It does take away a bit of the glamour. Also the ceiling of the pool area was pretty dirty, but nature of the beast of the pool area and splashing. But again, this would definitely not stop us from staying again or recommending this hotel.

The service was unmatched right from our first interaction with reception. My guests and I were offered a welcome drink and as it was my birthday 2 complimentary drink cards for Curious Bar. We had requested two of the "fabulous rooms" as close together as possible and this was arranged with no issue. Rooms were modern and the interiors outstanding. Pool area was impeccably clean especially given we went down at 11:00pm. The black out curtains do the job - slept through to 9am! Would definitely visit again.

Pool temp just needs to be a little warmer. A few of the other swimmers noted this too. Perhaps a sneaky way to make sure guests don't linger all evening haha. Beds did not have flat sheets tucked in (which seems to be a common thing in Melbourne with high end hotels these days) however its a bit odd to move around and see the underlay - very minor though. Also, it would be lovely for the rooms to have the option of brightening lights, brighter than they current highest setting.

Love the modern design of this hotel, particularly the room and bathroom design (including heated toilet seat :-)). Cool downstairs bar, great pool area for kids and pool bar for adults to enjoy. The breakfast selection was great, service from staff friendly and efficient when restaurant was quite busy. Conveniently located near Flinders Lane restaurant precinct. Comfy beds, clean rooms and hotel amenities.

I don't really have anything negative to say about this hotel other than the pillows were a bit high for my liking. Beds and bedding otherwise comfy.

Our first time staying at the W Melbourne. We arrived on our wedding night quite late (and wet), staff greeted us immediately. Check in was seamless and quick and we had been notified that the hotel had upgraded us from the cozy room to the wonderful room, which was so kind of them. When we arrived to our room, to our surprise we were greeted with a bottle of champagne on ice and a very detailed and kind written card by Mary from Concierge congratulating us on our wedding. The amentities in the room were nothing short of amazing, there was almost everything there you needed without needing to pack any amenities from home. The bed was large and super comfy, we had a great sleep both nights. The buffet breakfast had a number of options to choose from, which we enjoyed. Although the only thing that let the breakfast down was that the egg options were pre-cooked and sitting there so by the time we took some and sat down they went cold. However this was only a minor thing. Overall we had a lovely stay for our wedding and my husband's birthday celebrations and would definitely stay again.

Only minor things that we felt was a bit of a let down for a 5 star hotel was, the bar Curious was closed on Monday night which was such a shame as we were really looking forward to seeing it for the first time as we checked out on the Tuesday. We didn't end up using the indoor pool as when we went up there the water was quite cold, which we thought was strange as it's meant to be in use all year round.

The layout and interior design of the fabulous suite was perfect. Loved the bath tub and shower configuration. The wardrobe was great being a hidden gem to seek and and still very convenient.

The carpets seemed dirty or the black carpet was still discolouring (if still new) as it darkened our slippers. I wasn’t sure if it was not cleaned or just like that being a flaw from being a black carpet. I ended up putting socks for my little one while she walked around the room just in case.
