The AC in the room wasn’t working, so I informed the receptionist, Malla. She kindly offered me two alternative rooms — one with a view and another with a balcony and view. She invited me to inspect both and choose whichever I preferred at no extra charge. Malla was very kind and helpful throughout. I’ll definitely be back for another stay!

The floor dirty

Size of room was huge! Very clean, staff were wonderful. Easy to access. close to everything. I had surgery and they were so helpful and caring. I requested extra pillows and they were happy to do so, was wonderful.

Shower pressure/ heat was abit iffy in my room in particular, shower went from extremely hot to extremely cold with a mm of movement of the cold tap. No extra blankets. We did no room service so would expect more "coffee, sugar, washing detergent" provided in room the whole time. but had to ask. which is fine but felt like a nuisance, just the way i am, not a reflection on them what so ever, they were wonderful.

Comfortable, quiet and roomy studio with good beds, shower room and kitchen facilities. In an excellent location in the free tram zone and so just a matter of minutes to travel to all central locations either on foot or by tram. Friendly helpful staff.

We stayed in an internal studio - this means no outside window so it is very dark during the day. We had to ask for some fresh towels after several days as the room was not serviced but they did it right away.

The property had everything you could possibly need ie all kitchen pots, plates etc and a dishwasher so it was amazing for self catering and making your own food. The check in staff were so so kind and lovely and let us check in early after a long flight, which included upgrading our room to a deluxe room so that we could check in earlier. All staff were helpful at all times with things like directions etc. Great property location, only 10 mins walk approx to the shops and around 15 mins walking to the Victoria Market. Bed was very comfy and large.

If I had to say one thing, that the bathroom sink was slightly narrow but this was so minor

Oaks Melbourne on Collins street proved to be an exceptional place to stay. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I was fortunate enough to check in early and unwind after a long journey. The room was immaculate, bright, and generously sized. I had requested a room on a higher floor, and they fulfilled my request beautifully, providing me with a lovely view of the city. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the location was conveniently near Southern Cross Station, just a short stroll away from the shopping district and restaurants.

The stairs leading from the reception to the lifts can be quite inconvenient when you're carrying heavy luggage. A ramp would have been an ideal addition.

The room was amazing, with an upgraded room (not expected at all) to an awesome city view, apartment style, all the facilities and space i could need (but didn't use). Was a perfect hotel for my weekend away (Convention). Great room, great bed, great staff. Great location.

Not entirely sold on the bathroom facilities, being slightly small and not entirely waterproof (had to use a towel to stop water going from the shower to the main area). But otherwise it was good

The room was very nice and facilities were loverly. Great for an overnight stay but also pretty good for a weekend stay. The pillows were very comfortable and the bed very comfortable. Night staff were lovely and helpful.

Check-in from Booking.com booking was horrid. The staff had no idea what was going on, charging was all over the place. They couldn't find the bookings and then instead of paying upon check-in they only took a security deposit of $1 and then charged everything on leaving, delaying us heading to our venue that was on a tight schedule. Gave us the wrong rooms that when we went to our room, opened the door to find someone else already in there! Awkward much!

nice and close to public transport, close to southern cross station and an easy walk to the Skybus terminal. The room was a great layout, amenities were perfect for a longer stay, the access to a kitchen while on a holiday is always handy. building was secure and 24 hour reception is great.

My only complaint was that there was no access to power next to the bed to plug your phone in the power point was on the other side of the room.

Reception staff were very professional whilst also being very friendly and check-in and check-out were fast and smooth. Only an overnight stay but would stay again if in the CBD for a longer period as had a Kitchenette with large fridge, Coffee pod machine was appreciated. Bed was really comfortable and location great, block from Spencer St Station and although in the CBD, close to plenty of pubs and eateries. Would definitely recommend for families staying in the City who want to self cater.

Smallish Bathroom with not much shelf space, but the positive was great lighting.

The location was great, the bed was very comfortable with excellent linens. The shower was nice and powerful. The room was clean and well apportioned with facilities (fridge, sink, cooker, cupboards, etc)

The Aircon unit was a bit iffy - the oscillating mechanism made an annoying intermittent noise, and when I tried to fix it with the remote, it stopped working entirely. The shower curtain didn't cover a whole lot, so the whole bathroom got drenched each time. The "internal" room had a floor to ceiling window into the corridor, covered by a curtain. This could be covered with Drywall as the window couldn't open, so the only result was a privacy risk. A blank wall would have been more appropriate and appreciated.
