Location was excellent. I was mainly apprehensive about the potential noise keeping me up at night, but it only bothered me on the last day of my three-night stay, possibly because I was on the highest room floor (11th floor). There's a supermarket just across the road and a tram stop right in front of it. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Bathrooms get closed for a bit while they're cleaned, which can throw you off a bit. There aren't any towels or shampoo/conditioner/bodywash, which didn't bother me but is something to be aware of. I think the laundry machines are a bit expensive, but this is my only gripe. ($5 in one-dollar coins for one wash cycle, 5.33 if paying by card. $1 for every 10 minutes in the dryer, 1.11 by card)

The private room (4th floor) is quiet and very clean. Of course you can hear the street noise but it didn’t bother me. No noises from the other rooms. Great location and pretty cheap laundry services. Staff is generally friendly. Overall I had a good experience and I would come back for traveling only.

Bathrooms could be cleaner. Also, there is ONLY ONE hair dryer at the 11th floor which sounds crazy to me. They should put at least one per each floor. Keep in mind that this is a 500 people hostel so if you’re looking for a quiet place where to stay this is not the place for you. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a social hostel this is what you’re looking for. Maybe as a backpacker I would live and work in this hostel as it would be too noisy and messy.

All the common areas were always clean even at rush hours. The staff very friendly and helpful. A big kitchen with all the elements to cook, a good and big place to keep your stuff refrigerated and a storage to save your food. We stayed at the eleven floor in a big and share room (12 bed room) and the bathroom were excellent! In the woman one there was a Hair straightener and hair dryer. (That’s was perfect). We been there for twelve days. A perfect place to meet people and do contacts when you are arriving to the city!! We fully recommend! We were lucky with or roommates.

You have to close the windows in your room cause at night is very noisy. You are in one of the most busy street of the cbd The wifi is no really good. Some people talking outside the rooms after middlenight.

It’s around everything. Everything is pretty much walking distance. The location was amazing. The place itself was very nice. People were so friendly and eager to make friends. Kitchen amenities were great, exactly what you want/ need when living the hostel lifestyle. Common areas were good too, rooftop cafe, board games, pool table. No TV but a great add on bar where they have trivia nights, bar hopping a great way to socialise and just have a good time really.

Honestly not many ‘bad’ things to say about this place. I will say that it can get very nosy, where most people congregate is right outside the entrance of the building which then makes it become very loud and difficult to sleep.

The location was perfect for inner city Melbourne. My wife and I were in town for the GF weekend, and to do some sightseeing.. We enjoyed the amenities such as the 12th floor bar and the new kitchen. Liked that there was 'events' such as trivia nights were guests could socialise and talk with other travellers. The staff were extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a private room and the doors could use some soundproofing as every door made a loud clunk when shutting no matter how hard you tried to be quiet and the driers in the toilets could be heard. Some guests could also learn to flush after using the toilets. Also, the rooms are tight for space with 2 people and any bags.

Surprised how good it was for a backpackers. The venue itself was quite cool - good reception, bathrooom and bedroom areas. I was worried about the noise as I just wanted two nights sleep for an event, but it was great. Everyone was really respectful in the rooms. Bathrooms were nicer than expected, fairly clean and had bonus facilities such as a hair straightener. I was also worried about being so close to bars but didn’t hear the noise at all from room. 24 hour reception was great too as I had a late flight.

The shower cubicle doesn’t have much room for dry clothes or your bag, meaning your belongings are probably getting wet being on the floor

Private double room great size for moneys worth. Loved the giant window. Hot showers, waterfall shower head. Big kitchen, super friendly staff Honestly this place is one of the best backpackers ive been to. Premium location too

The only somewhat laughable annoyance was the lift. Glacial pace when youre waiting for it. It does not give a fk if youre going up or down, it will change direction mid travel. But everyone is aware of it and laughs about it Also the showers on level 10 were *constantly* occupied so its every man for himself. Again, it was laughable. I genuinely dont have anything I didnt like about this place.... oh maybe the bed was a bit small for 2 adults

The staff were helpful and very friendly. Amazing location with a tram station and multiple food options right outside the door. Other travellers who were staying in the hostel were also kind!

During my stay, there was a construction going on and one of the lifts werent working. Even though the beds were clean, the room wasnt. The floor underneath the bed was dusty. There was a small gap between the top bunk and the wall, and my small items kept falling off the bed.

Everything is good: location, staff, facilities...

This is my second time staying here. Last year, I was very satisfied with our private double room (queen bed) on the 10th floor. The shared bathrooms on 10th floor are for individual/personal usage, which is super comfortable. This year, I booked a triple one for two persons (bunkbed, larger room) and it is on the 4th floor. The shared bathrooms are for collective usage. I'd better double check next time then.

Really clean, excellent facilities. spacious rooms. One of the best hostels that I have stayed at. the on-site cafe and bar were added bonuses. excellent location. Rooms cleaned and serviced daily - bathrooms and toilets were clean with plenty of facilities for the number of guests.

lifts were being upgraded, so it was frustrating that there was only one lift for the whole building, but that is only a temporary inconvenience for longer term benefits.
