Newly redeveloped hotel on Spencer st/Flinders Lane, less than 12 months old so everything is ship shape, perfect location if arriving by train at Southern Cross Station or utilising skybus from Melbourne airport as this hotel is virtually across the road, no need to lug luggage to accom, no need for ubers :), staff were super friendly and helpful, rooms spacious and very modern, super clean, lobby is even a nice place to relax and have a drink, great breakfast venues nearby - Higher Ground, Societe and Grainstore very close by, 20 min walk to Mall or you can catch a free CBD tram, 10-15 min walk to Marvel stadium for football, strongly recommend and would not hesitate to return, last time we went to melbourne we lugged suitcases up the top of Spring st and that was not fun on a busy tram, do not recommend that, stay nearby at Indigo may cost you $20 more a night but definitely worth it and you can leave your luggage in storage in the am and shop at nearby DFO (Not that fabulous) before you catch your train home or skybus to the airport

Buffet breakfast - maybe we got a bad day however not the best buffet breakfast for the price - over $40 on Sundays due to 10% surcharge, I prefer poached or fired eggs, scrambled was the only option on Sunday and no pancakes, mind you surchage payable at most cafes in Melbourne on weekends we found so Indigo not alone on this front, not familiar with surcharges - travelled from interstate where surcharges are only payable on public holidays.

The hotel opened in September 2023 so it's all still new. Facilities are excellent. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was varied and superb in quality

Our room was at the back of the building so we could hear the trains in and around Southern Cross Station. It's not overly noisy in fact to start with I thought it was heavy rain, but the first trains are around 3.30am so light sleepers may get disturbed

Had a 5 night stay here whilst working at MCEC. Excellent location - a short walk to/from. Hotel is beautifully decorated and the the room was very comfortable. Absolutely loved the bed and pillows. Good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was great too. I will absolutely be booking again. Probably my favourite hotel I've stayed at this year.

Free coffee at breakfast is exactly what you'd expect from free coffee - not good. Please have hollandaise on your buffet. The temperature for the hot water was a bit tempermental on one night, but otherwise no issues.

Very stylish hotel. Enjoyed the art deco and modern aesthetic design. Clean rooms, with some housekeeping. . Staff were friendly. Close to the CBD but had a good distance away from the hustle and bustle for some quiet time

Reception don't pick up the phone or return calls, despite leaving voice messages and contact details. I had lost my cardigan and wanted to check with the hotel after checking out. Messaging via Booking.com is quite delayed by days, and sometimes weeks for an outcome. Understably, their priority would be to incoming guests. Despite this, I would still stay again due to overall service, friendliness and hotel aesthetic.

If you're looking at this venue, don't hesitate, just book. We discovered this chain after a previous stay in their Adelaide hotel, and will stay with them anytime we can in the future. Hotel staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The venue is in a great location, and very quiet street, considering its CBD location. Our bedroom and bathroom were fantastic, comfortable, clean and elegant. The gym was also amazing, great facilities. You'll be seeing us again!!

This hotel is very central, just 5 minutes walk from the station. The Reception staff were incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and providing a map of the city. The room was huge and exceptionally well equipped. Fantastic shower and huge bed! The bar had a Happy Hour from 4pm - the cocktails and beers were a bargain. One of the best features of this hotel was the decor throughout - quirky and imaginative. We only stayed one night, but I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Melbourne.

Rooms were very clean stylishly presented and comfortable. Location good for easy access to CBD and various other sites. Staff friendly.

Our initial room was a corner room which was lovely but had problems with no hot water for showering and washing! We raised several times with staff who were apparently aware of issue on this side of the building, but couldn’t resolve. After attempts to rectify failed 2 days later on our stay we were moved to alternative room which although not upgraded had no hot water problem.

Decor was geared to social media savvy guests. Staff go out of their way to smoothen out your stay.

I needed an additional night and booked directly through the hotel's website. What a nuisance it was to find out that the booking thru booking.com and through the hotel's website couldn't be linked. Fortunately the hotel arranged it that I did not have to change hotel rooms midway through my stay. The walls are thin, the people next door were probably hard of hearing as their normal conversation sounded like they were screaming. It is a disappointment if one has to wear noise-cancelling headphones to sleep.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. My room (Room 215) was clean and comfortable, with a nice layout and conveniently located right in front of the lift. The hotel’s location was a huge plus – it’s close to the tram station, making it easy to get around, and Spencer DFO is just a short walk away, perfect for shopping. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful, which added to the positive experience.

However, I did have some issues with the breakfast offerings. The selection was quite limited, and unfortunately, the items were the same every day, with no variety or rotation. It would have been nice to see some changes throughout the week.

I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. I arrived in Australia after a 29 hours flight and having lost my suitcase. The people at the reception checked me in upon my arrival (9am) and offered me breakfast. Comfortable room, impeccable cleaning, good breakfast options, nice food and cocktails at the bar. But the people of the hotel made my stay unforgettable, always ready to help with the smile:) Thank you!

Comparing to other central hotels, you can say it’s a bit far from the center but this is also good as it’s not in the hustle and bustle. The location for me was perfect as I chose it to be close to the Convention Center.
