Location close to eating areas. Parking cost $10 and was a short walk away. Room was clean and smelt amazing. The decor in the lobby and level one facilities was really nice and catered for different personalities. I liked the toilet paper decoration. The staff could make cappuccino’s.

There was no fridge or tea/coffee facilities in the room. Room was really small for two people. The shower is set up so water isn’t contained. It needs a little hob to keep water in the shower and away from the carpet. There’s only hooks on the walls with coat hangers to hang your clothes. One space for a suitcase so a second person’s case has only the floor to store it. The breakfast was only pastries, bread, fruit, yogurt. The coffee and tea was cold.

We have stayed at the Alex several times. It is a great location near the central station, museum, library, art galleries and many restaurants and cafes. The breakfast is good - homemade granola GF, yoghurt, fresh fruit, selection of pastries and selection of breads from Bread in Common. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The common spaces have great books and art. Tea is self serve available all day. The self serve coffee machine has been removed. Guests can ask for a staff member to make one for them. Luggage storage is available.

The bed and pillows were super comfy. 6. The shared areas were really beautiful. 7. Lots of great restaurants nearby. All of this made my stay in Perth a wonderful experience! Maybe it’s just a cultural difference, but I was surprised that the bar next to the hotel started playing loud music around 10 PM and continued until 1 AM. 😳 In my country, that would actually be illegal. However, it didn’t really affect my sleep, and the hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs, which I really appreciated.

Great location, close to Perth station and in the centre of Northbridge with lots of restaurants around. The hotel room itself was nice and big, clean and had a comfortable bed. Nice bathroom and toiletries. The staff were really friendly and helpful with arranging laundry.

The breakfast was poor. I was told it was available from 7am-11am, however when I arrived around 9am, most of the pastries had gone with only a few croissants left and no cereal or fruit to go with the yoghurt. The room could also do with a rubbish bin and the balcony was a bit small for what you pay.

Great location and service. The facilities on level 1 are excellent. Roof top is lovely. The ground floor with the bar and sitting area is great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Really liked the opportunity to get a reduction in the breakfast when forgoing daily room cleaning. Walking distance to all the shops, bars, restaurants, pubs and transport.

Only issue no fridge in the room. It is hot in Perth and to be able to place a couple of drinks in the fridge would have been great. A wardrobe or more coat hangers to hang up clothes would also be great. Our room located facing the road was noisy from the bars, restaurants and hotels. However, it is the price you pay to stay in Northbridge with walking distance to all the shops, bars, restaurants and pubs.

It is a nice little hotel, the design is very interesting and particular. More beautiful in reality than in photos. The cleanliness is excellent and the location is perfect to visit all the most famous places in Perth. The breakfast with only a choice of sweet and nothing salty, but of high quality. We really appreciated the possibility to eat a little sweet or fruit and drink a coffee at any time of the day offered by the hotel. Good soundproofing of the rooms, I did not hear anything from the neighboring rooms, which for me is very important. The guys at the reception are very good and kind, thank you very much to everyone. We will definitely come back.

The whole visit experience was first-class. The lady looking after my booking was delightful and a relaxing checkin. The outstanding aspect was the ability to feel like it was my second home - grab a coffee, grab an (awesome) croissant, sit and read from the vast and interesting library - overall a terrific modern, relaxing small hotel. Highly recommended, and if I was to visit Perth city again, my first choice… My room - whilst small, was more than adequate and I slept very well.

A few more selections for the excellent breakfast - perhaps coconut yoghurt (only dairy available), some additional seasonal fruit (only had apples, pears and oranges with a few kiwi-fruit). Saw (briefly) one banana!

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Northbridge and yet felt really private once inside. Lovely clean room and amenities. Was surprised not to have a fridge in the room which is somewhat inconvenient, we like to keep drinks and snacks in the room. Also no wardrobe or draws, just a couple of hangers on the wall which I guess makes sense for saving space. On check in wasn’t explained that their was a fridge on level one with bottled water for the rooms, or that there were iron and ironing boards available in storage. Check in could have been warmer with instructions on these things. Also, had booked additional night and was called half way through stay wondering why we hadn’t checked out, so what should have been arranged on check in wasn’t. Positive note though on the staff, they were happy to store our equipment we hadn’t checked for an event, under the stair case when it wasn’t being used until we left. Continental breakfast was minimal but lovely all the same and included barista coffee and lovely service by attendant. Lots of lovely common areas and lobby bar downstairs. More pros than cons and we would stay again.

Loved the availability of both bottled and filtered water as well as complimentary fruits tea? coffee. The mezzanine floor is welcome and comfortable as is the bar area esp with books & games. my little balcony was great too

two little seats on the balcony would have been preferred. No room tea making facilities was a challenge as we like a late night cuppa and ditto early morning - having to dress and navigate bringing two cups of tea back to our room was something we didn't enjoy ( this is a minimal annoyance and wouldn't preclude me from staying at the Alex again ) Upon arrival the use of the mezzanine floor fridge and facilities should have been explained esp the availability of bottled and filtered water

Great four night stay at this hotel, we arrived early from our flight and were able to leave luggage at the hotel. As we were so tired we stayed to rest for a little while and were let into our room early which was a great treat. Room was large and we were able to stream on the tv, lovely sized bathroom. Great location for Perth, everything within easy walking distance. Breakfast was served from 0700 to 11 which really helped us when getting to early events around the city, coffee made to order! Also has a bar, free gym classes and kitchen for making tea, coffee and your own food during the day. Highly recommend

Small issue, location is fantastic but our room did overlook a bar which meant earplugs for the weekend night, was silent during the week
