The room was very nice and quiet. Everything was clean and the bed very comfortable. In general perfect stay and I would book again!

You must reserve breakfast the evening before so you get it cheaper. We did that and tried also to pay, but the system kind of didn’t work. We landed up paying the next day full price and at the reception they told us that they can’t do anything about it but they try and let me know. I’ve never heard of them again. The price difference is not the world, but just how it happened was a bit annoying.

We stayed in the Standard Quartier Belvedere room with separate beds, as a family. The room was well equipped and clean. The staff, including the cleaners and bartenders, were very friendly and helpful. The bar on the ground floor has a great atmosphere at night, and special thanks to the bartender for the excellent cocktails. The beds were quite comfortable, and it was quiet at night thanks to sufficient soundproofing.

The receptionist told us that our room was ready with separate beds, as requested, but it wasn’t - despite having booked it that way. Thankfully, the cleaners were nearby and helped us out. The rooftop bar was always full, so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the view from there. Dust had gathered on the air vent, and similarly on the carpet between the beds.

The hotel was extremely close to the main train station and to all other forms of public transportation. The hotel is easy to identify from a distance by its characteristic round windows; you'll never have trouble finding it. The breakfast was of superb quality, hot, and had very many delicious vegetarian options. The staff were very helpful and considerate and gave a strong impression of being a cohesive, effective team with good management. I appreciated the hotel rewarding guests who choose not to have their room cleaned every day. The fitness center was excellent. I also liked the theme of space-exploration, e.g. the charming lighting in the elevators mirroring the face of the Moon and the fun artwork in the hallways.

More croissants! They went like hotcakes at breakfast. The front desk was on (rare) occasions unmanned, so that you had to wait a minute, before you could talk to a person. However, the hotel offered several methods by which a guest could solve their problems by themselves, e.g. using a provided tablet. Great for experienced travelers who value efficiency.

Our room was right by the elevator and I was nervous about noise. I don't know what kind of sorcery they have done, but we heard absolutely NOTHING from outside our room. Not from the street, not from the elevator, never heard a guest in room above us, never heard anyone talking by the elevator! So quiet. 2-3 blocks to central bus station. Close to several parks and gardens.

There was actually room for more furniture that was just empty space Would've been nice to have somewhere to set suitcase.

The hotel is modern, clean and confortable. It is located within sight of the main train station and subway trains, however it is not in the centre of the torristy areas. I booked like this intentionally so access was easy when moving large suitcases, it was a winter trip so was thinking turrets would be snow or rain) and it was perfect. The subway to the tourist attractions takes about 10 mins and attractions like the castle which are out of town are also easily accessed from the hotel area. The staff on the desk were so helpful and Lovely.

I spent a lot of time researching where to stay in Vienna bc the choice was so big and I wanted good quality for myp money. I'm so pleased I did spend time looking and I'm over the mooon with my choice. It's one of those modern hotels that invested into clever design that turns small spaces into comfortable and usable places (think storage, privacy, etc) and pleasant to be inside (lots of black with a touch of gold gives it a luxury vibe). Appliances, shower, towels - all good quality. The breakfast restaurant, outside space and quality of food were excellent. The location is very good too - right next to the main train station and a reasonable walk into the old town (15-20 min), should be a direct train service by bus or train from there to the airport (I'm yet to test it). I won't hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed for 3 nights mid-June 2025 with my wife - both of us late 60's from the UK. Mid size tourist/business hotel, exceptionally clean, very comfortable bedroom. Great breakfast with good selections of cereals, fresh fruit, cooked meats, cheeses and a small selection of cooked items. Luggage stored all day after check out before leaving the city. Great roof top bar which was fair and reasonably priced. Excellent customer service from the few staff we engaged with. Great location for getting around being very close to the Central train station - 2 minutes walk - with tram and bus stops nearby. Very convenient for transport connections. A few restaurants close by. All in all a lovely hotel. Unlikely to visit Vienna again as we experienced/visited all that we wanted to during our stay but if we did then MOOONS would be our definite choice. Highly recommended.

Our twin beds were a little on the hard side and made for a less than comfortable sleep.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of excellent, and it truly deserves the highest rating. From the very beginning, the check-in process was smooth and effortless, which immediately set a positive tone. The possibility to securely leave our luggage was also a great convenience, giving us peace of mind. The staff exceeded all expectations. Upon our late arrival, a manager was present and offered us invaluable assistance. His professionalism, warmth, and genuine care made us feel very welcome. It was an extra pleasure to discover that he was Romanian, which created an even stronger connection for us as guests. The location is another highlight: the train station is just a short walk away, and the surrounding area feels perfectly safe and pleasant to explore. Overall, everything was at the highest level — comfort, service, and atmosphere. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

The facility itself is superb. The rooms are nice, the corridors, all of it is carpeted and feels very comfortable. The cafe is nice with outdoor seating and very pleasant. The design of the hotel is also very pleasing as every detail has been thought out and its all about the moon :)

I wouldn't say the staff was generally bad, byt there a few things that need a mention. 1. there is no phones in the rooms which makes it a bit inconvenient to have to go downstairs every time you need to speak to the check-in staff. they had to be reminded 3 times for rooms slippers AND THE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF THAT DELIVERED THEM, JUST KNOCKED ON THE DOOR ONCE AND I HAVE SAID 'ONE MOMENT PLEASE', NEVERTHELESS SUPER UNBOTHEREDLY HAS JUST OPENED THE DOOR WITH HER KEY AND THREW THE SLIPPER INSIDE THE ROOM. Just absolutely rude and very much intruding the personal space, given also the fact that I was topless. It was such an awkward moment I got very angry about. I would like to point out not all of the housekeeping staff is like this, quite on the contrary in fact.

This was my 2nd stay at the Mooons Hotel and we will be going back to stay for a third time. The rooms, although small are exceptionally clean and compact with a very comfortable bed and everything you require. The staff are friendly and very helpful- a shout out to Monika who went over and above helping us sort a problem we had with a rail booking. The breakfast is also fantastic and vegetarian to boot. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks.

The hotel is in the business district and opposite the main railway station so if you don't mind not being in the city then the hotel ticks all the boxes.
