The hotel's location, while not central to a number of the heavily touristed sites in Antwerp, was located in a place that made accessing those sites by foot pretty easy. The hotel is also close to the trolley lines--convenient for those who prefer that mode of local transport (and it's possible to buy tickets online). I liked the ease of check-in, the spacious lobby with plenty of seating at simple tables and chairs, the CLEANLINESS OF MY ROOM, and the comfort of the bed(s). These factors make for a trouble-free, low-cost stay. The decor is twenty-first century industrial -- concrete ceilings, a kind of straw mat carpet underfoot. Not objectionable. There is a cafe adjacent to the lobby where you can buy a simple breakfast or lunch. I did this only once. And also, though there are no 'free' television stations, I could easily connect my ipad to the television screen wirelessly.

I suppose many would prefer a more 'present' staff. I think the hotel keeps costs down by performing check in and check out with a machine, but the nearby office is staffed if the machine doesn't entice the traveler. The hotel also keeps prices down by providing only the simplest amenities in the rooms. I travel with a very small kettle, so the lack of a kettle in the room doesn't bother me. There is also a kitchen on the main floor, and available laundry facilities, for those who need those home-ier services.

Great location, nice concept, clean and comfortable place, fully recommend. Self service, common area with shared kitchen space was great.

The place was modern and clean. The room with a balcony was very spacious, the balcony was great and the bathroom was nice. The partner cafe provided a good selection of good quality food and I particularly liked the small kitchen area for use outside of the cafe’s opening hours. The location of the hotel was perfect for getting to the central station and to walk into the town centre, while being in a quiet location.

The water pressure in the shower was a little weak but I suppose that could be expected given the room was on the top floor! Also, the floor was quite hard when walking barefoot or kneeling down to pack bags and there were no rugs or mats.

I was at a conference in Antwerp and stayed at the Citybox Hotel. I was very satisfied; the value for money was good. The rooms were clean, there were plenty of towels, and the lobby was also perfect for meetings or a coffee break. I was surprised by the small kitchenette with a refrigerator in the lobby, which served cheap coffee. I lost one star for two things: my balcony room on the top floor had a lot of pigeon droppings, and the green areas between the balconies were overgrown with weeds. The drains in the bathroom also smelled bad (which seems to be a general problem in Antwerp, though). All in all, it was a great stay, and I would come back anytime.

If you're traveling to Antwerp, I highly recommend booking this hotel. The location is excellent—just a 10-minute walk from the train station, 15 minutes to Grote Markt, and only 5 minutes to Meir shopping street. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the bathroom was fantastic. On the ground floor, there's a shared kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave, and kettle. You'll also find a vending machine and a coffee machine for added convenience. There's a small café where you can enjoy breakfast, including eggs, croissants, and more. For some fun, you can even play table tennis! The lobby is very pleasant and a great spot to get some work done on your laptop. I really enjoyed my stay at Citybox and would definitely stay again.

Great value hotel in the city and obviously very popular! Very spacious, clean and comfortable room with great shower, bed and air-conditioning. It’s pretty much a contactless hotel so you don’t really see any staff (you check in and out via a terminal). Good option to store bikes in the locked courtyard garden and good breakfast from the partner cafe. Eco conscious with recycling facilities and really nice to have the use of a shared kitchen.

They say that they keep costs low by not having TV’s in the room but there is a huge TV in the room, only you can only use it for steaming if you can log in (those of us registered in the UK can’t) could probably save more money by not having one at all.

Citybox was a great value for money. Great hotel, easy to get to from Antwerp center. Very close to train station, shopping, restaurants and the stop Flixbus passes. We stayed in Antwerp instead of Brussels because it was way cheaper, and it was an amazing decision since transportation from Antwerp to Brussels is really easy, and Antwerp is a very nice city to stay in. Great location, very convenient for travellers. The hotel itself was great, we got upgraded and the room was really nice. Spacious with nice shower, comfy bed and warm. The room overlooked a garden which was nice. We checked in and out with a machine, which was easy to use. The hotel has a small kitchen with everything for guests to use, rents umbrellas and has a laundry room.

This is a basic hotel but they do the basics really well so it feels amazing, super comfy beds, amazing bathroom and shower, really clean. They don’t have a rest but the companion cafe serves a great breakfast delicious and so much better than a classic hotel breakfast. The location is superb, 10mins from the train station and a short walk to all the attractions. There is a small kitchen area on the ground floor with a microwave and kettle and consumables, and plenty of local grocery stores if you fancy a snack. This is the perfect hotel is you want a great base from which to explore Antwerp

Room and bedding was modern, comfortable, quiet, good value/money. The breakfast restaurant partner has good options. Central location.

Early check-in fees - I understand if a room is not availaible before check-in time, but charging for something that is free to the hotel leaves an uneasy feeling. Security of the luggage storage - no attention was given who walked in or out of the luggage storage, I could have walked away with anything I wanted (especially bad in combination with point one). Minor things: no readily available TV channels in the room; warm water in the shower takes some time

Room was way bigger than we expected and had a big window which was nice. The bed was pretty comfy and the bathroom was a decent size. The air-con system meant you could keep the room at your preferred temperature. There were 2 small complimentary bottles of water which was a nice touch. Very close to the train station only a 8-10 minute walk and easy check in and out as you just serve yourself but there were staff around if needed. About a 15 min walk to Antwerp centre which was also good. Amazing price!

Can’t be helped but the street it’s on is nothing special, looks a bit scruffy. The style of the rooms not necessarily for us but that’s just personal preference not against the stay.
