The hotel is located in the center, 50 meters from the metro, bus station and 500 meters from the historic center. Very good and varied breakfast. Large room, comfortable bed, daily cleaning, warmth. Attentive and kind staff. 10 meters away there are restaurants with Turkish, Mediterranean, Belgian specialties and 500 meters away a Romanian restaurant. The shopping area is 100 meters away (the main pedestrian street takes you directly to the Grand Place). Many shops with artisanal chocolate nearby. In short, I recommend.

Great to have a bath and a balcony. Busy and convenient location, Rogier metro across the road, mall round the corner and 15/20 min walk to grand place. Atomium easy to get to from here too - direct tram from Rogier then 10 min walk It was perfectly clean and had a bath, balcony and breakfast included. Great solid wifi connection included. The hotel is really interesting, lots of old school touches, like the trouser press and the panels with material in them. The panels matched the material on the bottom of the bed and curtains - you can tell that years (and years) ago someone really thought about what they were doing and got things custom made. The rooms are old school, photos are accurate on booking.com etc, it isn't a modern set-up. But you do get a balcony and bath tub and it is clean. It is all dated, but I just found it really interesting - the art deco lobby, wood panelled lifts, iron window-mechanism, felt like stepping back in time. Hope they keep the history/identity and original features if they refurbish x

radiators were on a timer and overheated the room. had to have balcony doors open while they were on. To be fair it was very mild for time of year, but felt wrong having heating on and windows open. it's such an interesting place, would be good to have a leaflet or board with the hotel history on it - hotel history missing.

I was surprised that it was so clean and though it looked vintage, it was updated. I loved the location which is next door to Rogier metro station. The staff are all so gracious, helpful, and polite. They are the best assets of the hotel.

We were on the first floor and at night, there was an intermittent clanging sound like a car was hitting a loose manhole cover. My first night, I was awake until 3:00 AM because of that noise. I had to take a sleeping pill. Inspite of that I would still stay at the same hotel when I go back to Brussels in the future.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Even though our check in wasn't until 1pm, we arrived at 10.30am and was in our room within 30 mins. The hotel was clean and tidy. The location was great just a 15 mins walk from the main square and there is plenty of places to eat around the hotel. There are also taxis outside the hotel. Breakfast was nice with lots to choose from. The room was big.

Although they weren't big issues for us they may cause issues to others. We had a room at the front of the hotel and it seemed to be an emergency service vehicle going past every 20-30 mins (this is not an exaggeration) so I'm guessing there is a hospital or police station close by. Thankfully I'm a bit of a heavier sleeper so this didn't bother me that much. The beds were very close together. We booked two single beds but the beds were so close together they essentially became a double bed, again this didn't bother us to much but if you like your own space it may not be for you. It's took me a while to be able to log into the WiFi, not sure what the problem was but I eventually managed to log into it.

The hotel is in a good location, close to a few stations. Room was quite big and spacious, but some renovations would be nice. It was overall clean and good. Breakfast was very nice - a lot of choice and good quality. Staff were very polite and helpful. Has an elevator as well.

The hotel is located on a very busy street with constant emergency vehicles running. This paired with the old wooden windows makes for a very noisy nights. Regarding the cleanness - we found an insect in the sheets, other than that it was quite clean.

It was such a lovely place with an old, baroque-esque vibe. The staff was lovely and always there to help. I loved the fact that breakfast was included and it was a really good breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, meatballs and lots of delicious pastries and fruits/vegetables). The location was perfect - I could walk to the Grand Place and it's also right next to the Rogier metro station so I visited everything that I wanted in three days. I had a bathtub in my room, coffee/tea, towels, hairdryer, mini fridge and a perfect balcony view. Wifi worked, everything was clean. Honestly it was a perfect stay :)

I liked everything!

The hotel is a really beautiful Art Nouveau building located at the Rogier Square. The reception staff was helpful and friendly. The room service was also really fast. The breakfast was quite rich. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. There are bicycle-renting stops nearby and the metro station is just outside the hotel. But it is simply more practical to use your legs in the flat Brussels. The Botanical Garden is really close by and Grand-Place is a 15 min walk from the hotel.

Wifi connection was weak, that could be improved.

The value for money is very good. The hotel has a very well maintained "old structure", with comfortable beds and clean facilities. If you are travelling for business the location is great, it is walking distance to most of the business ditrict, close to train and metro and not too far to walk to the old town.

the separate double beds were put together and not easy to separate. power plugs on both sides of the bed would be a plus.

Very good breakfast buffet and coffee from the coffee makers - you can choose what you want. I had a room with a small balcony which was nice, allowing a view of the city. The location near the EU buildings is an additional asset.

The electricity circuits should be replaced, as the fuses often blow out. There is a need for more power sockets in the rooms, e.g. there is no available power socket for a cattle to boil water.

The hotel is located close to the Gare Nord, so it is easily accessible from the airport. The centre can be reached within 15 minutes (on foot) or by public transport. There are many shops and restaurants around. It is a classical hotel. My room, situated on 6th floor, was very spacious. It had a fridge and a kettle, which was really appreciated. Wifi also worked very well. I liked the room very much. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the ground floor. It has a standard choice for sweet or non-sweet breakfast.

1) As other reviewers noted before me, the noise isolation is not ideal. There is a strange noise from the street and also noisy neighbours can be a problem. 2) The breakfast room is sometimes really crowded, especially when there are groups staying at the hotel. It would be good in such situations to open the upper part of the restaurant (though the staff working at the restaurant were very efficient in cleaning tables for new people).
