This hotel is definitely a high value for your money. We are a couple with a 4 year old boy. They added an extra bed to the main room for our son. You need to reserve one or else they may run out. The breakfast was good enough with different alternatives for everyone. The rooms are clean and spacious. Bathroom was nice. The reception was very friendly and helpful. We bought bus tickets from the hotel (no price difference) to travel to city center. It's a 15-20 minute walk or 7-8 min bus ride. All in all we were very pleased with our stay.

Great b'fast!. Disappointed with restaurant on 2 nights as it ran out of certain meal choices. All the staff were very helpful. When I had difficulty with the slippery bath, they bought a bath mat for me to use. There was a bus stop very near, one mini market (very expensive) and a fantastic market with bio fruit/veg, butcher, cheese deli and a coffee shop located next to a park. Would stay there again if in Ghent.

More cushions needed for the sofa for back support. Bigger cups would be great. We're heavy coffee/tea drinkers! In general, there is not much to dislike.

The hotel is conveniently situated very close to the city center but far enough to be silent and quiet. The staff is very welcoming and nice from the front desk, to the restaurant and the cleaning crew. The room was very clean and the kitchen well equipped especially for such a small one. Very nice plus was the airco in those hot days while we visited.

The furniture is outdated and makes the place look less welcoming. The couch in the room was not so comfy and the water pressure in the shower was quite low. The breakfast is basic, we found that the bread was always a bit dry and the fruit not very fresh.

The staff gave clear instructions as to the location of of the parking garage so it was good to be able to drive straight up to the on site parking. The location was good for an easy walk into town along the canal and also an easy walk to the train station as we took a day trip to Bruges. The apartment was clean and spacious and breakfast was nicely managed.

We had checked that our vehicle would fit but it was a little unnerving that there was no sign on the down ramp confirming height. There are higher parking spaces available so request one if your vehicle is over 1 meter 90cms

The location was excellent: within a walking distance form the center, shops and the railway station, yet in a quiet street. The apartment was confortable. Breakfast was good.

Registration at the reception was slow. The apartment was comfortable, but some pieces of furniture were not in good conditions. For example, there were stains on the armchair. The reason why we chose this hotel wsa that it is an aparthotel and gives you the possibility of cooking and having meals in your room. However, the kitchenware provided was less than minimal: three kniwes, two forks....It looked as though nobody had checked the room since a long time. The shower was in the bathtub, which was very slippery. Most signs were only in Flemish.

The location is very good, close to the city center and the most important monuments. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel. The room was very large, the bedroom was separated from the living room so I could work without disturbing my roommate. The was a tableware, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle and a set of teas in the room. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was good, although the selection of cheeses, hams and vegetables could be a bit bigger. A plus is the fresh, delicious bread. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The water pressure in the bathtub was a bit low. As I already mentioned - the selection of cheeses, hams and vegetables could be bigger.

Although located in the center of Ghent, the rooms are impressively well insulated from street noise. I couldn’t hear any buses or cars passing by, and I slept so well. The rooms are spacious, making them ideal if you plan to do some work during your stay too. I also appreciated that the living room and bedroom are separate, which adds to the comfort.

I wanted to iron my shirt, but the room didn’t have the necessary facilities. Most hotels typically provide an iron, so I was surprised it wasn’t available since they had everything else.

Apartment hotel, it was great and we'd definitely go back. Rooms were very good with a small self catering hob in them (we never used it). Parking on site, and our 2.05m van fitted. great location, great manager on reception. Wonderful city - superb beers!!! Utterly beautiful city and do not miss the Alterpiece in the Cathedral made more famous by the film Monuments men. We need to come back for longer than one night.

I don't recall the bar being open or breakfast on offer, we walked out for both. Its no bad thing, its a great city. If you struggle walking it might be too far from the city centre but we happily enjoyed the 1/2 mile walk.

The hotel was, quiet, clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The reception staff were particularly helpful with ensuring we were aware of the Gent ULEZ regulations before our stay. They were also very helpful with information about public transport and visiting the city centre during our stay. The self-catering facilities in the room were very good. The secure on-site car park the hotel offer was good and meant we could safely leave our car there during our stay.

Location was okay but a bit further out from the centre of Gent than we had expected.

I spent six days at Castelnou Aparthotel, and it was a great stay! I arrived a couple of hours before check-in, but the very welcoming manager quickly found another room for me. The room looked exactly like the photos! Breakfast was included, with a selection of eggs, ham, cheese, bread, and croissants. They also offer packed breakfasts if you're traveling to other places. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming—they even gave me a guidebook to Ghent! I would definitely stay here again!
