The location is perfect. It’s just 2 blocks from the beach. Drugstores, supermarkets, pizza restaurants just a few steps away. Elevators worked great and have a decent size. The breakfast is the best perk, great variety of options. The pool on the rooftop is a huge plus too

The gym needs maintenance. Machines are broken. The rooms are indeed old. Bed sheets need change. I had booked a room with 2 beds and was given a one king bed room. Since our room had a window we could open side to side and had no smell we decided to stay there and ignore the fact that they gave us the wrong room. They do not speak English so come prepared to learn Portuguese We came during the Madonna concert so hotel was packed do not wait for the last hour to have breakfast you risk doing a huge line

Location

It was the very first time I see a hotel charge to hold your luggage for few hours. This was a ridiculous decision to make money out of Madonna’s show weekend. I have been in hotels ranging from 1* to 6*, and this was the first time a hotel charges for this service which should obviously be a courtesy. And this was not only after checkout but also for those who arrived early and had to wait to check in. Of course they were also charging for early check-in and late check-out, even though many rooms were already ready when we arrived at 11:00. Ridiculously making money out of nothing and nowhere else in the world charges for holding a bag for 2 hours!

Nice hotel near the beach and nice restaurants. Loved the included breakfast buffet. And the rooftop pool was nice with amazing views of Rio! My room was comfortable and clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable i slept lovely. Shower was good pressure and mini fridge with water was helpful! The staff was very helpful even helping me book Hang-gliding upon my arrival while i waited for my room to be available as i arrived hours earlier than check in time. Hang-gliding was amazing and hotel staff arranged transportation and activity for a reasonable price. Thank you so much!

Hotel staff were exceptional! Fabrizin and Blanco, Mr Wonderful, were the most fantastic hosts!! We had a 27hr delay returning home, staff were extremely helpful in organising an additional nights stay. Fantastic location, beautiful, comfortable room, great pool area, great choice for breakfast. Beautiful fresh fruit every morning, view from the roof top pool was amazing. Hotel is only a short walk from the beach. Lots of lovely cafes and restaurants all around, beautiful coffee bar on the corner accross from the hotel appears to be open 24hrs, our go to place every day for coffee, food and great service. We will 100% be returning to beautiful Rio. As Mr Wonderful said 'We have found our new home and Brazil welcomes us' xx

The staff, cleanliness and the location are excellent! Special thanks to Cruz and Leandro you were awesome and raised the quality of our stay! Furthermore, the breakfast was really nice to have each morning. Big plus: there was always football on the television. I would highly recommend to book this hotel when visiting Rio, excellent value for money!

Some things are a little outdated, it still functions good though but it is a bit outdated.

Location was good. Room was good. Breakfast is going to make people to return to the hotel for sure. The staff is friendly and accommodating — I give everyone A+

Since we had booked it at Book.com and it was promised a taxi to and from the airport Santos Dumont but that didn’t happen, I was a little disappointed, but it was not a problem when we easily found an UBER.

Clean place, amazing location, many facilities

Not everyone knows English, there were some misunderstandings regarding the breakfast and room service. Every day I was ordering a coffee and the price was different, I didn’t understand why. Room service breakfast they were charging the full price, doubled up when breakfast was included. They could’ve at least charged me the original price and not double.

We loved this busy and vibey hotel within easy walking distance of the Copacabana. We especially loved the rooftop pool with its 360 views of Rio and its friendly, easy-going vibe with visitors from across South America.

The only thing we found disappointing at this hotel was that there were NO options other than fruit at the extensive breakfast buffet. It would be so easy for the hotel to introduce some vegan options. But the guy at the front desk seem to laugh me off in quite a dismissive manner when I suggested this.

I loved the location as walking distance to Copacabana Beach. The shower power in the bathroom is amazing. Comfortable beds.

The staff at reception could have been more welcoming, even though they are super busy. It's being professional that can make a big difference. It can be very noisy with the room sink pipes when you use the cold water. It's very loud and annoying. Also, I find that some people staying there on your floor can be too loud too with slamming doors etc... I wish they had a kettle in the room.

Breakfast was excellent. The cleaning people are soo sweet, I gave them something before I left. The location is very central. I enjoyed a lot the gym and the swiminpool. Cuba Libre cocktail is the best !

The Free Taxi given from Booking is impossible to be use. The Taxi stays 45 minutes after the plane has landed. You never can take your suitcase before the 45 minutes. For me it took maybe 1.5 hour to 2 hours to receive my suitcase. The Free taxi was gone. If you have NO suitcase, you can use the free TAXI. INFO: A Uber cost 40 Real A Taxi can be 200 to 300 Real for Gringos like me ! :) You will learn fast the prices. Next time I know !
