The hotel is clean, 2 confortable big pools and 1 interior pool. The food is enough for everybody and it indeed deserves more stars, especially at this price. Good value for money.

Very nice location

The food was 80% the same every day. Everything looks like the cheapest on the market but I must admit that looks fresh. Overall the food there is just decent. Don’t expect much. The staff is not friendly at all and they always look sad/bored…etc…and no one is talking at all. Just a few exceptions with the pools bar staff.

Kids entertainment, variety of food, confortable beds, clean and spacious room.

The indoor pool was not heated, therefore we could not use it (the water temp was 20°, which is too cold especially for children).

The hotel should have 3 stars, this is not a 4 star hotel. the rooms were big enough, the food was ok.

There is no wifi in the rooms, however they mention they have… The cleanliness is awful.

parking was not free at the hotel. and also too fool. we had to walk from another payment parking an nights for about 25 minutes in total dark.

Front desk did not speak one bit of English / very poor Romanian. When we got there we could barely understand what the lady was saying - had to bring a co-worker to explain to us Helios was fully booked but they would lodge us at Apollo (next door hotel from the same 'ensemble' from the ownership perspective). We requested a cot be available from the start, which was confirmed is and will be available upon arrival in our room - since the hotel got changed alltogether, the cot was not made ready as well -> we had to re-request it 3 times at the Apollo front desk, before it was actually made available in the room, within the dame day (we arrived around 5 PM, cot was made available around 9 PM). After a 5 hour drive with 2 children in the car, this was not the start to the holiday we were looking for, considering we booked the property almost 2 months in advance. While the new property (Apollo) included beach access, front desk did not communicate we would also need to request an access card (which was merely a plastic with the hotel's name on it), in order to actually access the beach facilities -> when we got to the beach resort, the staff would not let us access it, without actually having the physical card, even if we had Apollo wristbands on us. We were lucky other tourists had picked up extra cards and they shared one with us, otherwise we would have had to backtrack to the hotel for a piece of plastic.. All in all, really poor front desk communication skills which will not see us revisiting this property in the future - we did not enjoy the 'variety' of surprises that we encountered.
